NOTHING BEFORE SEPTEMBER

We are a family of two adults and a teenager on 7 acres in Woodend; an easy 1 hour train ride from Melbourne. We have ongoing garden maintenance and home renovation tasks and will appreciate your help with numerous projects.

We will collect you from the train station, so you don't need a car. If you have a vehicle, it's a bonus. It's a picturesque area near famous Hanging Rock. If you stay for 2 weeks we will try to drive you to some of the sights while you are here.

The work required is varied and we will match it to your skills: gardening, planting, weeding, digging, painting, fencing, animal care, cooking, cleaning, mowing, collecting branches, tidying up etc. Please let us know if you have particular skills. We are looking for 4 to 5 hours a day for 5 days with 2 full days off or a similar combination - we are flexible and you can fit the work around your own plans. If you have carpentry or landscaping skills we will be very grateful!

We are a family of four, Simon, Josie and our two boys. We are situated in the beautiful Yarra Valley, with views over the mountains. On our farm we grow a wide range of bio-dynamic fruit, nuts and veg including chestnuts, walnuts, nashis and a mixed orchard and vegetable garden. We are in the process of designing and developing the property at the moment.

We are currently building our farm shed (out of recycled materials) so will need help framing, cladding, and building barn doors. We are concentrating on cleaning up the property (clearing blackberry) and deer proof fencing our boundary. We need odd jobs done around the house, the home garden and home orchard. We are also continually collecting and storing fire wood. We are preparing areas for berry and avocado production, so there is work mulching/tree removal. We are also preparing tree planting sites for avocados.

We are also designing and planning a sustainable rennovation of our house and welcome any skills in solar ... more inside

Hello travelers, welcome to Australia.

Non-smoker, I maintain a smoke free home, but have an undercover BBQ area where friends can go to smoke if necessary. My late husband and I traveled extensively around Australia and overseas, loved meeting new people, experiencing different cultures and sharing this fantastic country with others.

*** Ideally I am looking for couples or two friends traveling together.***

Our 12 hectare property is in Yendon, near Ballarat and comprises of 2 hectares of gum trees, 8 hectares of paddocks and 2 hectares around the house including the house garden, orchard and vegetable garden. We are surrounded by a mix of native bush are... more inside

VACANCY FOR AUGUST (Also maybe middle of July)

Have just returned to occasional hosting after having a break from it. As per reviews, the people that have joined us have thought they were treated fairly.

Comfortable accommodation provided in your own room in main house along with food in return for four hours work a day. Good workers will be well looked after, although as I will be busy working during your time off, I might not be available to socialise with you all the time. Thus if you think you might get lonely, this might not be the place for you.

Work is fairly physical but I wouldn't say it is too terrible. That said, some fitness will definitely be required, the place is far from flat!

Not interested in VISA scheme people needing payment slips and things as that makes things way too difficult. Just help-x workers that want to see somewhere different, and get some exercise while being put up in some nice surroundings.

Working extra hours in return for paymen... more inside
