Situated on the edge of the Great Divide, we are surrounded by great views, Kangaroos, Wombats, Echidna and numerous bird species including wedge tail eagles, Rosella's and Kookaburras. Just an hour from Melbourne [less from the airport] we can arrange pick up.
Our farm has Highland Cattle, Chooks and a great Vegie garden. While we have no urgent work requirements and the farm is only our hobby [we both have full time occupation as well]there is always something to do, but full time or long term employment is not available!
We have a spare room with double bed or we can accommodate 2 x singles as well. The nearest public transport is 15 minute drive and we can drop people of most days as we go past the station nearly every day. Our current projects are house painting, wood cutting and gardening.

**** Updated 22 December 2019****

Looking for a new helpXer to host after Christmas!

I`m a single mum with 7 y.o. twins and I`m looking for somebody to help me around the house and yard.

We have recently moved so we need some help around the yard including assembling the trampoline and getting the existing veggie garden ready for planting.

I'd also love some help cooking - don't worry if you don't have heaps of experience, I have recipes and it's pretty simple things.

We live 50 minutes from Melbourne city by train just outside of town and close to the station (17 minutes walk or you can borrow a bike) so you can easily access the city.

We are on 2 acres and we are regularly visited by kangaroos in the front yard or back paddock. We also have 2 Jack Russells, 10 hens and a stick insect so looking for somebody who loves all kinds of animals (and insects).

4-5 hours per day in exchange for full board (including all meals).

I look forward to hearing from you... more inside

** We are not hosting helpers over the summer months **

If you like being outside, love dogs, nature, good food, peace and quiet, and have worked with horses before, this is the place for you!

We need one or two people to help us prepare our property for summer (fire season). Pruning, whipper snippering, mowing (ride on mower) and collecting sticks are the types of things we are asking helpers to do.

We also have horses that are worked daily, so two stables need to be cleaned out and prepared each day. Other horses need to be fed and watered. If you have experience working with horses, that would be a big bonus! We don't have horses to ride, as they are dressage competition horses, but there are opportunities to work with them in other ways, especially if you have previous experience.

Help is required for around 4 hours per day, 5 days per week. Weekends and afternoons are free for you to sleep, explore, play with our friendly dogs and cat, binge watch a TV series -... more inside
