Hello!
Forget Melbourne come to Ballarat!!!!!!!!!!
My name is Penelope and I am a secondary school teacher and my fiance works on a farm, we are both 30 years old. We have met many backpackers as my parents also do Help X (Host ID: 43674)& many have come to say "Hello" or a short stay with me and now I need help as we just bought a house. We live in the vibrant city of Ballarat where there is Lake Wendouree (pictured), lots of nightlife and cafes, bush walks, a wildlife park and Australian history relating to the Gold Rush.

Dave and I often visit the nearby Grampians and Great Ocean Road which I have shared some pictures of from when we have been to visit. We love going on adventures and seeing what the area around us has to offer!

Because of our new house we need help to paint, garden and update a few bits and pieces. We are currently both really busy and need to have people who are practical and can work independently as our engagement party is real soon.

A biodiverse orchard, nursery & learning space which is still in its infancy.
Join us on the journey of orcharding, living simply and following the seasons.

We follow permaculture principles and deliver a wide range of educational events throughout the year to teach others about regenerative farming, food growing skills and community connection. We also open our second, established orchard as a pick-your-own from Feb till May.

We are a family of five and both Jade and Charlie work 1-2 days each off the farm. The 3 kids are all at school.

We founded the local community food co op and are heavily involved in that as well as being very proactive in the local food movement in the region.

We have a retrofitted packing shed that is self contained for our visitors and helpx crew. We run a large vegetable garden and have chickens, geese, bees and dogs. Some of the projects we are about to begin work on are: hoop house completion, propagating our nursery plants, paddock seedi... more inside

Looking for someone fun who will play games with her as opposed to sticking her in front of a television in the mornings. My daughter is 7.5 years old. For these 15 hours you will get Accomodation, food, internet and Bills included. Females Applicants Only and no couples please.

Historic farmhouse high in the hills of the Otways overlooking the Southern Ocean. We are restoring the house, creating gardens and a hothouse and would love some help, especially from builders or carpenters, but any help is much appreciated. We have ocean to the south and national park to the north with glow worms and tree ferns. It is a very gorgeous place to spend some time. We are told our food is excellent and we take anyone staying with us to see things around the district if they don't have their own transport. We need practical and enthusiastic people who love to share their stories over a glass of wine and good food, so if that sounds like you we would love to hear from you.

Hi Friends, we are looking for helpers from mid January 2019. !Here's a bit about our family and farm.......

Shane and I live on a large rural property one hour from Melbourne with our two young children (nine and five). Our property is situated in a beautiful environment, however needs ongoing care to realize it's full potential.

Most of our property is native bush, home to the diverse wildlife here (wallabies, wombats, deer and parrots).

With busy lives we require ongoing help to maintain our property. Such tasks include gardening, mowing, building, fencing and cleaning. We are also currently renovating our house so there are some house projects that require attention.

Our home is quite small so our guests reside in the Outhouse. Guests say they love staying amongst the trees and enjoy having their own private space, set up with running water, electricity, kitchen and bathroom. There is also a double mattress and single bed. There is wifi and TV in your accomodation.... more inside
