We are a busy, free-hold pub with brewery and gin distillery in a small village beside the sea in North Devon. We serve real ales, home-made food, and run regular music nights, games night and discussion groups. We are busy with holiday-makers and residents alike, and the pub is an important part of the community here.

Depending on the length of stay and time of year, volunteers might find themselves working in the garden with general maintenance and tending to our raised beds and greenhouse or assisting in the kitchen- helping service run smoothly during lunchtime and evening sessions. Kitchen work is mainly helping keep things tidy during service, carrying food to tables, etc The nature and duration of the work varies depending on how busy we are. In the summer and at school holidays, the work will be in the kitchen. We also need some help cleaning the pub in the mornings before we open at 11am.

Generally we ask for 25 hours per week, and sometimes shifts are split betwee... more inside

My husband, Steve, and I live in Stickford, a rural part of Lincolnshire. We are looking for help for a maximum of a month, starting in APRIL 2020, to help with hedge cutting, general garden work, rebuilding of the chicken enclosure and building a pergola and outdoor kitchen. We have an acre of land and keep ducks, chickens, Guinea pigs, rabbits, cats and two dogs, as well as running a small holiday let. You will be staying in our house and will have your own room and Internet access. In exchange for your help you will be provided with fresh home cooked, locally sourced meals and we're happy to help you explore the local area including historic Lincoln. We would be looking for help for a maximum of four hours a day, although this is negotiable and probably won't be every day, with weekends off. Any questions just ask.

Hello Helpxers,

I am looking for one or two people to start as soon as possible and stay till the middle/end of October. The main reason is that I run Airbnb from home and we will be moving around a bit so I would like to guarantee that someone will be here to get the room ready for the next guests. Depending on the length of people's stay and whether I’m here you will probably be able to travel a bit too.

I am also looking for some help in the house and garden. I’m coming to the end of a building project and so someone who is handy would be great or someone who loves gardening. There is still some painting to do and some generally finishing off, so someone with experience of decorating or happy to give it a go. I have a lovely garden with a pond and veggies – also rather too many weeds in the beds which could do with some attention.

Norwich is a lovely relaxed town not far from the sea. Your working time can be flexible but to average around 5 hrs a day 5 days a week but ... more inside

we are a homestay, not far from the coast, but with easy access to the surrounding area of south devon. the house is a detached property in a quiet area of the town, with a large terraced garden. there are usually two or three people living here and there is room to stay in the house or in a cabin in the garden.

we have not been here long but are doing a lot of work in the garden, enjoy gardening and growing vegetables etc. most of the help needed at the moment is outside, with a fair amount of physical work involved. would currently suit someone with some experience/interest in gardening or landscaping type work. would involve 3 - 4 hours work per day, 5 days per week, in exchange for food and lodging.

We are a Buddhist centre in rural Yorkshire, England, comprised of a 180 acre estate nested within a British National Nature Reserve. The centre is part of a worldwide organization that helps make Buddhist teachings available throughout the world. We are a small resident and volunteer community that regularly hosts Buddhist teachers, seminars, and workshops. This is a space of retreat, where meditation practitioners can undertake retreats of a few days or a few months. Our resident lama is in residence throughout the summer and fall to provide guidance and inspiration.

We will be closing to volunteers mid November 2019 and will re-open March 2020.
