Beautiful views and a lovely rural setting close to an alternative town with plenty going on (Hebden Bridge) nestled between Manchester and Leeds in the South Pennines. We are also on a bus route and near a train station.

We would love people to help us with our smallholding. We are a couple with a dog, cows and chickens. You would be staying with us as part of the family.

We have meadows with a stream running through. Our plan is to develop the meadows for wild flowers, generate woodland along the stream and create a pond area to increase biodiversity. We also have a small veg plot and orchard.

We are not registered organic but have an organic sensibility. We do things by hand and don`t use chemical fertiliser etc.

We need help with whatever we are doing. If the weather is fine we'll be outside, removing problem plants, generally weeding, planting, painting, building dry stone walls, making paths, moving stones or working on out-buildings. If the weather is poor we ... more inside

We are a family with three children aged 10, 4 and 2 year old. We live in a small cottage within an intentional community (with approx 40 other adults and children) based in a beautiful old estate with mansion house, gardens and woodlands.
Ollie is a school counsellor and mindfulness teacher and Annie is a medical herbalist and massage therapist. We home educate our children, however Lumi goes to a forest school 2 days a week.
We love living in community and enjoy gardening, singing, meditation and yoga. Life here is often busy and can be noisy and chaotic! However, we do have regular meals and bedtimes. We would love help with cleaning, childcare and a bit of gardening and odd jobs around the house. We enjoy meeting new people and sharing the beautiful land we live on. We are mostly vegetarian and enjoy cooking organic healthy wholefood meals using fresh vegetables from the garden.
There is no public transport to the local town, however it is about a 25... more inside

Hi I am looking for help on my organic allotment, harvesting, juicing, weeding and construction projects and general preparation for winter.Clearing and preparing raised beds and creating paths. The area is 300 sq meters and is on a wonderful sunny slope.

I live in Sheffield with easy access to the Peak District both by public transport and car. The Peak District is ideal for other outdoor pursuits including hang-gliding, bouldering, mountain biking or general hiking. Our beautiful meditation centre is in a Grade II listed Victorian building in a quiet green part of town. It's only a short 10 mintue walk to the the town centre and to a beach that stretches along the coast and has lovely, white sand.

We are a modern Buddhist community and offer structured classes on meditation, mindfulness and we also offer retreats. In exchange for 25hrs of work per week working visitors are free to attend any of these classes or events.

Please note: Since KMC Wales is a Buddhist Centre, visitors are asked to abide by the Centre Rules, which are: no killing any living being (including insects); no stealing; no lying; no sexual misconduct; no taking drugs, alcohol or cigarettes. We are also a vegetarian community, so meat is not allowed to be prepared or consumed on the premises.

We need someone ASAP to help with work in the basement and digging in the garden (damp proofing the house). You can take regular tea breaks and we offer refreshments.

Please read this completely and carefully so that we're able to offer you what you need. This is a lovely area to visit.
Please email initially.

We are looking for 2 people whose first language is English and who are over 26 yrs, to help with gardening. Some of the jobs are heavy.

While wanting to be welcoming, we don`t offer much in the way of entertainment, but will suit independent people who have their own transport, and are wanting to explore the area themselves on their days off. Buses are not great round here which is why people with a car generally have an easier time . (Tunbridge Wells is an interesting town to visit. There are some nice attractions nearby.)
We provide 3 meals a day, but if you want to cook for yourself sometimes, you are very welcome.

Also, there might be some painting and decorating, and perhaps a few handyman tasks.

This homestay will suit people who are over 26, and whose first language is English, or whose English is very good. We ... more inside

Accommodation in our lowly but characterful three hundred year old fen edge cottage. Its scruffy and often a bit dirty as I'm decluttering the house and improving a horse yard Iíve just taken over these days. But summer is still here and its beautiful if you like animals and countryside and medieval cities and scruffy old cottages.

Its exactly halfway along the road from Cambridge to Newmarket, the capital of horseracing. Itís 7 miles from each centre. That takes about 15 mins in flowing traffic and considerably more in rush hour.
Urgently in need of helpers at the moment Please come

There is a bus into town(s) from the corner and there is also the park and ride service which is cheaper and quicker than the regular bus which is nearby so we can always run you to or from there in our car.

We are a couple in our mid sixties. I'm a semi-retired freelance English language teacher, trainer. My hope is to care for retired horses along with my own. I also have 4 cats, a dog, a... more inside

I am looking for helpers to help me get my house in order. I am finding that I cant keep up with everything that needs doing. I would appreciate help with things like general maintenance, helping build a shed, lifting plasterboard and fixing, gardening, cleaning and things like this.
Anyone who can fix cycles would also be welcome as I have 2 that need attention. One that needs a new chain and the other problems with brakes.
In return I can offer accommodation and meals and help you to improve your English. I also have bicycles to explore the surrounding areas such as The New Forest and Studland/ Purbeck.
I live in Bournemouth, which is a very nice beach resort on the south coast. It has a lovely beach.
I live within a 15 minute walk or short bus ride from the Town centre, beach and nightlife.

When not exploring Bournemouth
there is lots to see and do.
The new forest is not far away with excellent walking and cycle trails and quant villages. It can be reached by train in... more inside

We have been hosting helpers since 2011 and enjoy meeting people from all over the world, sharing food and cooking and hearing about other cultures.
We like to host a couple or 2 friends, preferably with some gardening experience. We need people from March onwards. There is a range of jobs depending on the time of year including pruning trees, picking fruit and veg, fencing, pond clearing, small building work, decorating, cooking, weeding, planting, making bonfires etc.
It is a large wildlife friendly garden, orchard, poly tunnel, veg, pond and coppice wood/hedges. We make sure the work is suitable for your level of experience and welcome your ideas too.
Artists studio in the garden running printmaking courses.

Accommodation is 2 double bedrooms in the house, or in simple small wooden house in the garden. This has a compost toilet and a solar panel that does lighting, so a peaceful place to stay.
