We hope to be able to host people later this year but we are booked up presently.

There are opportunities to help with many voluntary projects in the area including
the new community storehouse. A fantastic way to meet local people.

Our big old house is tucked behind the main street with frequent buses to Edinburgh.

We look for enthusiasm. Experience of gardening, building, housework and decorating is a bonus but not vital. If you are interested in local culture and history and are happy to work unsupervised, you'll be needed!

We are about 45 minutes from Edinburgh by frequent bus. Accommodation for 1 or for 2 sharing a room for 2 - 4 weeks. We provide vegetarian meals.

Jane has a pottery and often needs assistance lifting heavy clay sacks, recycling clay and moving kiln shelves.

There is a community cinema to help with every Sunday night from September to June and a community meal every week.

We expect volunteers to work for about 4 hours each day or about ... more inside

Now FILLED for SUMMER 2019.

Looking for one or two helpers for the 2019 season Apr/May to Sep/Oct. With possibility of winter work.

We are a busy glamping and wedding venue on the England/Wales border. Family owned and run we live onsite and enjoy looking after our guests. We own horses, pigs, dogs and cats and hope to add donkeys and pygmy goats.

If you're looking for a fun place to work with nice people, you've found it. We will make you welcome and feed you well. There's lots to do but we are fair and reasonable hosts.

Our site is 5 miles away from the busy market town of Oswestry, Shropshire. The village bus runs into town twice a week and so it would be essential for helpers to have their own transport.

We are very hands on and currently do all the practical work ourselves with help from our children and part-time staff (who would continue). Just as we do, we would expect helpers to join in with whatever is needed. Experience in some or all of the following usefu... more inside

October, November and December are still available for anyone of you planning well ahead.

We cater for vegetarians and many special diets (especially Coeliacs) but unfortunately NOT vegans (as we use our delicious fresh eggs!). We are unable to provide Kosher or Halal food.

Riding is available (during free time) for someone reasonably experienced (and of a suitable height and weight) and who has their own riding insurance and can bring their own helmet and suitable footwear.

Canon Frome Court is an intentional community of about 40 people (adults and children) living in separate self-contained units within a Georgian manor house, stable block and cottages on 40 acres of land. We work the farm co-operatively with the aim of producing a substantial part of our food including meat, milk, eggs, fruit and vegetables.

Land includes 20 acres of pasture, 8 acres arable, 2 acre walled vegetable garden, a large (dilapidated) Victorian greenhouse and polytunnels, an orchard, a small area of woodland and a lake and garden. We have dairy cows, goats and sheep as well as hens, bees and, sometimes, pigs. You may be working on just about any job on the farm: with the animals, gardening or on the grounds and buildings.

We generally host up to 3 volunteers for a fortnight at a time for general helping out about the farm and estate.

Accommodation is in shared rooms (sometimes private) with adjacent toilet and shower room. There is a large communal kitchen near... more inside

WE NEED HELP NOW
Hi, we are John and Stephanie, semi-retired active hosts interested in history, art, poetry and folk music as well as farming. We are looking forward hosting friendly sociable volunteers so we can also learn about your life and culture.

ALSO
This is a special year as we are planning a private festival in our garden early July and are particularly looking for helpers who can assist with the running of catering and music events who don't mind camping accommodation*

Are you available to help us for a few weeks and learn more about our old-fashioned way of life?
Do you like horses and other animals? We need help with stable duties, field work, gardening and some housework. You will live in our home as part of the family which sometimes includes our elderly mother. In exchange for around 5 hours work per day (flexible) we offer full board and all meals are included. We cook good quality meals from basic ingredients and mostly buy locally sourced produce and ... more inside

We are a holistic retreat centre near Glastonbury hosting groups from 20 to 50 people for meditation, yoga, healing...

We require help with laundry, cleaning, tidying in the kitchen, gardening, and some other tasks such as general maintenance, painting.

We offer a done up caravan, electricity and heating and use of our staff room with internet and DVD's. We usually ask the volunteers to take their meals (vegetarian) from the main kitchen and sometimes self catering at lunch time, raw materials provided when there's no group.

We are also always looking for carpenters or diy skills.

We are not an intentional community although there are 11 people living here.
Please no pets, no children.
Smoke outside the room.
There is only one pub with a small shop in the village otherwise it is very quiet.
We are 10min by car from Glastonbury. There is a bus to town or lifts with one of us. Bikes available.
