Small scale (mostly seasonal) old fashioned B&B in Highland coastal village requires help with all domestic duties, gardening, maintenance etc! Must like Jack Russells!!!! I am also a singer so a bit of 'roadie-ing' perhaps - plus I have a vintage clothing shop and on line business - so this placement would suit someone who likes variety, is creative and happy to just get stuck in with whatever needs to be done.

We're the hostel facing the sea, it's scenic, it's peaceful, and it's sunny! We've opened 2 years ago and already built a strong "boutique hostel" reputation. We are looking for a responsible, genuine and cheerful help. Our guests are mainly hikers, amateur sailors, bird watchers, school and uni trippers and also fish and chips eater. We've got constant and good ratings, thanks to many factors, one of them being our helpers!
We need volunteers to ensure guests are being welcomed in a nice atmosphere and the place stays tidy. You would be helping 5 days a week with two full consecutive days off. Most days you will help the morning and have the afternoon free unless you are scheduled on for the day, and in exchange for your volunteering, you will receive free accommodation, laundry facilities, free tea/coffee, WiFi.

Looking for help from March 2018 onwards. Lots of work in the trees - pruning, thinning, chopping. Also making mushroom logs and foraging and using what we find. I have also been growing trees from seeds I collected and have lots of vegetables growing.
Lots to do in the vegetable garden, weeding and digging etc.

We have a table tennis table and welcome people who like to play!

You need to work 25 hours a week (including helping at mealtimes) but when you work is flexible (for example you are welcome to go for a weekend to Inverness) and in return you will get all your food, a caravan and wifi!

We are 5 minutes from the Insch train station, 35 minutes from Aberdeen, and you can walk or bicycle to the village where there are shops and a friendly pub.

I tend to prepare food from scratch and like the idea of a simple sustainable life (with wifi). Vegetarians are welcome but we do eat some meat.

I am mainly interested in traveling, Forestry, cooking and and mushroom... more inside

Hi, we are brother and sister Bethany and Jacob. We run a dog boarding kennels and equestrian stunt team in the Borders of Scotland. We set up our business in 2008 after 9 years living in France and doing our horse entertainment/circus/re enactment type shows. While we were living in France our parents were signed up to HelpX and had many interesting people staying with us.

The dog boarding kennels started because our grandparents have a kennels. We do our horse shows all over the UK and Europe mainly in the summer months with our 14 horses, the shows include lots of different skills including jousting, combat, fire breathing, circus tricks, dressage, stunt riding, dog training, live music and many more! Our shows are set to music and include costumes and props made by us.

We are vegetarian and don't smoke, people are most welcome when they are similar to us. We were taught at home all our lives, we are now 25 and 26. Anyone who comes to stay will find a friendly relaxed atmo... more inside

I am a professional photographer living in a (single-storey) cottage in the early 19th century conservation village of Charlestown built for lime workers by the Earl of Elgin on the banks of the River Forth. It is a friendly but quiet place, as is my home. (If you are a party animal, this is not the HelpX for you!) NON SMOKERS ONLY, please.

Jobs for an active, easy-going multi-tasker would include:
sanding and painting interior and exterior
window frames
dog walking
joinery
gardening - I would prefer someone with interest and experience in gardening, plants and vegetables. Weeding and general garden maintenance is always required.

Painting (and sanding down) is an important task: the inside and outside of the conservatory and exterior of a couple of sheds and fencing.

In addition, my HelpXers need to be happy to help with cooking and cleaning and to do general maintenance gardening: branch-lopping, pond clearing etc. I have a few raised beds for vegetabl... more inside
