Some time out....
Lady Horticulturist(BSc Degree CIT)/also qualified Healthcare Assistant, Dog lover, can offer homestays in comfortable cottage to other Women only. Overlooking a beautiful valley, the small cottage is set on a southfacing acre in beautiful rural, peaceful countryside with rolling hills. It is ideal for taking some time out, walking along quiet country lanes edged by red fuchsias, orange Crocosmias and wild flowers. Two lakes are nearby, stunning long beaches about a 25 minutes drive away. There is a small vegetable garden that needs to be planted, about 6 metres by 4 metres. A larger, previously established vegetable garden next to the small one is in need of some Tlc, as i had been abroad a lot for the past two years. It needs covering with a weed suppressing membrane to get it weed free for next year. Some plants in pots need tidying and planting out, too. A shed might need to be painted with lime/whitewash inside it. The cottage is within easy reach of Clonakil... more inside

Hi,
Hope youíre having a lovely day. If youíd like an amazing experience in an Irish cottage, this might be the place for you. Situated on the cliffs of Moher trail itís a little slice of paradise.
Itís suitable for one person or a couple. You have your own double room and food will be provided.
Basically it will be a really fun stay if you like art or working with your hands. I have lots of little projects, mostly with recycled materials. Iíll show you how to make driftwood furniture and a pavement with bottle caps. You can cuddle my 2 goats and 2 dogs. Fun activities for 20 hours a week.
When youíre free you can go hiking, walking, surfing, cycling, bouldering, listen to great live music in the local pubs. There are loads of great stuff to keep you entertained.
The cottage is right on the cliffs of Moher trail and the views are breathtaking. More photos to follow or I can send you some if you like.

Before you start reading this, I must tell you that I prefer my helpers to come in pairs. So if there are two of you, read on: We keep sheep, cows, pigs, hens and horses. We also grow a certain amount of cereal crops. The work is quite seasonal starting in Spring with lambing, then following the great miracle of birth through till autumn harvest, and the gathering in of grain and straw. The winter months are mostly clearing up from the previous summer, or preparing for the next one. Also tending to all our livestock. We have a polytunnel and small vegetable garden providing food for the house. When there are urgent jobs to be done we work whatever the weather and regardless of the day of the week. Accommodation is a bedroom in the house, and in spite of all I've said above, we do take time off for fun.

We would expect to be helped 5 hours per day, Monday-Friday with weekends off to explore the area, relax and visit Dublin and Ireland. We are a grass based dairy farm in county Kilkenny, there are lots of animals here - Dogs, hens, cats, peacocks and cows of course!
We live in a house built in the 1700ís surrounded by beautiful mature trees and a walled garden.

This is a house of six with four grown up children coming and going as they travel and study and sometimes work on the farm. We love where we live, enjoy farming, country lifestyle and working with animals. We also enjoy visitors and welcome their stories and lifestyles.

We offer Helpxers comfortable accommodation, excellent food and a genuine welcome.

We have a positive and welcoming attitude towards people and we appreciate that some people start with very little experience. Some of our best helpers have been first-timers. But we do expect applicants to provide some evidence that they are able to make a useful work contribution in return for our hospitality. This means you need to tell us about things you have done that show you are har... more inside

If you are from outside the Eutopean Union you will need a Temporary Work Visa which must be applied for before you travel to Ireland. We do not have "Visa on Arrival" like some countries.
