Welcome to Malacca! Our guesthouse is located centrally within the core of Malacca (Melaka), a block away from historical Jonker Street and the core of this UNESCO Heritage Site. Run by a fellow traveler, cyclist and citizen of the world, the hostel offers private rooms as well as mixed and female dorms. We love this city and want to share the magnificent culture of Malaysia with you.

As a volunteer, your job will be to help with the reception at check in and check out, watering and cleaning the plants and leaves on the rooftop, and cleaning the rooms on Sundays only when the maid is off. You may also bring the guests out for the dinner and bicycle tours and make sure everyone has a great time!

Facilities you have:
Accommodation (private single room)
Breakfast
Tea & coffee
Laundry
Bicycle
Use of pantry (for our staff only)

We would like a commitment of at least one month, ideally more.

*We have vacancies all year round.*

We are two partners running a new hostel in Georgetown (Penang). With a long and illustrious history under its belt, Penang’s capital city is one of the most interesting and colourful cities in Malaysia. As acknowledgment of its well-preserved cultural and historical heritage, the city was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO on the 7th of July 2008.

The hostel was opened in January of 2015, so we are looking for assistants to run the daily work in the hostel. Work shall include registering guests during check in, check outs, giving directions (we will provide training), keeping the lounge, kitchen, rooms and bathrooms clean. We are looking for helpers with a minimun stay of two weeks, though it is negotiable. Couples are welcome too.

We provide free accommodation in the common dorm with AC and free internet in exchange of five working hours, five days a week. Breakfast are included.

Our hostel is always full of backpackers willi... more inside

I have a learning centre for children aged between 7-18. I need teachers from overseas to teach them English and help with daycare. The centre is located in a rural town where the standard of education is very poor. I run a small business offering daycare and tuition, we offer free places as well as heavily reduced fees for families in need. As well as providing an improved education, we often take the children on trips so that they have the opportunity to experience new places.

I hope that the children can meet volunteers from different cultures and learn from them. I need a volunteer that loves children and can make learning fun for them. Preferably, I would like a native English speaker or, someone with a good standard of English.

We are a Chinese guest house in the heart of Melaka's world heritage China Town, on a very special street called "Harmony Street".

Need help for keeping the hostel neat and tidy and as a night manager to look after the guest and hostel during the night. It'll be a bonus if you're good working with your hands as possible painting of walls and minor maintenance to the hostel is needed.

Accommodation will be provided.

Sarawak of Borneo is a land of colourful cultures boasting 27 ethnic groups, making up a population of 1.8 million. The majority of the population live in a few large towns and cities, but a significant percentage still live in longhouses and villages in the remote areas. On the nature sides, Sarawak's rainforest is one of the most diverse and protected ecosystems in the world. Its treasure of natural wonders is best appreciated in its many protected national parks and ancient rainforests where alluring caves, cascading waterfalls, pristine beaches and exotic wildlife are waiting to be enjoyed.

Situated in the oldest Chinese settlement of more than a century in Kuching of Borneo island right by the river. Kuching is arguably one of the best kept secret charming city in the world.
