We are a friendly, very busy, family run farm. We are looking for 1 or 2 people who are physically fit & like working outdoors to help out 5 days a week, from September - for a few weeks or a few months.

Plenty of variety in what we do: field-scale organic vegetables, poly-tunnels, feeding free-range pigs and sheep, veg box delivery scheme, farm shop and markets in Oxford. Help is needed with all of these aspects of the farm, as well as harvesting & possibly some weeding too...

In exchange we can offer accommodation in a self catering 2 bedroom mobile home with kitchen and living area. Food provided would be our organic vegetables & free-range meat & local, organic dairy produce.

The farm is set in beautiful countryside close to a market town called Thame & 20 mins by bus to Oxford where there is plenty to see and do (10 min walk to bus stop). We are also an hour by bus from London (40 mins by train).

Get in touch if you like the outdoor life and want to be part of l... more inside

August 2016 - another UK festival season drawing to a close. This year I had return visit from an American Helpx who is off enjoying a run of festivals and a 16 year old Spanish lad who is already making plans to return for the whole season next year. Must be doing something right :-) There will be a few weeks accommodation/work available at the end of August/ early September. Lots of tidying, mending and sorting - particularly on the look out for anyone skilled with making structures out of bamboo or skilled at sewing, particularly soft furnishings and upholstery.

Hello, we are Laura and Dave and we run a small, private camp site with fully furnished tents, with camp fire, barbeque area and chill-out tent. We are also tent makers, so all of the tents are made in our workshop.

We can offer food and accommodation in our large house for two people, preferably a couple or friends, during September.

We have a kitchen garden, a greenhouse and a poly-tunnel in which we grow vegetables, plus large landscaped areas to manage.

The work will consist of cleaning the tents on change-over days, gardening and general site maintenance. There are always bits of work to be done on the house, as well as our workshop where we make the tents.

There is in addition a studio flat that we rent out on Airbnb.

At the house, we have a double and a single room available for workers and we all take part in cooking and housework. We prefer our helpers to stay a minimum of two weeks if possible.

We are very rural here and there is limited public tra... more inside

hi, we have started a holiday house business with land around. We would like to start having weddings in the barn and building glamping units, eg tree houses, wooded lodges, yurts etc. We would also like to start growing on the land and have some animals. We are in a very beautiful part of the country side that feels remote and quiet but is close to towns and good transport to cities like Bristol ,Bath, Cardiff etc

There are public footpath walks from the end of the garden and local bus stop at end of drive, 5 min drive to Tunbridg Wells town centre and walking distance to Groombridge village. We are looking for someone to help with gardening, DIY, and odd jobs around the house in exchange for staying in own tent in garden (a room may be available at times. Full use of showers, washing machine and occassional lifts into town when needed. Contributions for food required. Looking for someone to come and help from July - October.

Not your usual gig. I am an artist who has just bought a large old shop and needs help with getting it sorted. General building work. Shelves, counters, some gardening (inc wall building). Nothing too specialised although if you are a qualified plumber or electrician then all the better :)

1 - 4 people (I have 2 spare bedrooms): free accomodation in exchange for a couple of hours a day help (or 4 hours every other day). For people interested in making art, the studio will be avaiable.

DO NOT expect wonderous views or peace and quiet :) But the Peak district is nearby. There are buses to Alton Towers, and Stoke has a large and growing arts community and an established ceramics industry (Spode, Wedgwood etc).

Initially for 2 weeks, maybe longer. From mid september
