(1) I am looking for help with a small walled garden. I intend growing organic fruit and veg, as well as creating a meditative space for personal relaxation, with flowers, shrubs and trees and (2) I am looking for help with household maintenance: cleaning, painting, repairs, etc.

I have 1 to 2 double rooms available for the right volunteer/volunteers. I am living on the banks of the Mulcaire River, minutes from the city by car. There are pubs, restaurants, shops and other amenities in the village, which is on my doorstep. We are adjacent to the University with an Olympic pool & gym, Castel Connell lake (for rowing) and Killaloe where one can take a boat up the Shannon River. The city is a cultural metropolis and Munster is a huge rugby town.

I enjoy cooking, but might not cook every day. I do not want to get tied into shopping, cooking, cleaning etc. We can discuss this aspect of the exchange. Note: There a private kitchenette and bathroom for the helpx. I have a car & bike... more inside

A large garden 30 years old approx 1 acre with lots of trees, shrubs and beds that is need of a total overhaul. It is overgrown and in danger of becoming wild. If you are interested in gardening this will be a great challenge and has the potential of once again returning to its blooming days! I am located in a beautiful setting on the west coast of Donegal 3km from the local beach and approx 20km from one of Ireland's most beautiful natural landmarks, the highest cliffs in Europe.

We run a small guesthouse overlooking a beautiful sandy beach and located by the harbour on a small island off the west coast of Ireland. We also have a sheep farm and vegetable garden. The island has a winter population of approx. 150 people but this increases in summertime with visiting tourists when lots of extra activities take place.
We need help in the guest house, in the garden and in a small coffee shop which we open in June. (approx 4 to 5 hours a day). In exchange we offer accommodation (two bedrooms with own bathroom), 3 meals a day and a chance to explore our beautiful island, swim, sail or fish in the crystal clear waters right beside us and engage in the social aspect of our island community by learning our traditional songs and dances.
It would suit two friends or a couple but a single person would also be welcome. A minimum of 1 month stay would be preferable.
