I have a lovely flat, overlooking 2 of the nicest beaches in the area. Bigbury and Bantham. There are surfboards and a kayak available, it is a 2 minute walk from the beach. I live on my own with my collie dog, although my 3 wild children come home intermittently from their travels.
Work is on a smallholding producing fruit and vegetables for a farm shop. I require help during the summer months, picking and gardening. Own transport would be an advantage, but not essential. I am usually out of the house by 8am, it is a 20 minute drive to the farm, and we mostly work till around 1 or 2pm, and then the rest of the afternoon is your time explore the area or relax. No work at weekends. I only speak english, so english speaking is essential. Hard workers only please!

SORRY - WE CAN NOT TAKE ANY MORE HELPERS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

We have a 12.5 acre smallholding located in a pretty rural hamlet midway between Falmouth and Helston in Cornwall. Approx 2 miles from the nearest main road and 5 miles from the sea. We keep beautiful alpacas plus several free range chickens. We ALWAYS need help with animal husbandry, halter training/walking alpacas, cleaning shorn fleeces, maintaining the vegetable patch and garden, wood cutting, general maintenance, help with cooking etc and we would particularly like an experienced spinner to help with our alpaca fleeces. Future projects include: laying concrete, developing an alpaca poo recycling unit; fencing. On rainy days we try to work indoors i.e. painting or housework. You will be sharing our home with us and our dog and 2 cats. We have 2 neat bedrooms for helpers (1 double, 1 single) or the option of a caravan (summer only). We would normally like helpers to stay for at least 2 weeks, become part of our... more inside

We are friendly, relaxed couple who are looking for a helper for a couple of weeks in April 2012. Ideally, we are looking for someone with plumbing and electrical experience as well as an ability to help with laying insulation and plugging gaps in wooden floorboards.

If you have experience in this and are available on the suggested dates, then please let us know.

Our house is based in Eltham, (borough of Greenwich) in South East London. We are short walk from Eltham station which has direct links to central London and is perfectly located for exploring the city. We are walking distance from two expansive parks and a short bus ride from beautiful Eltham Palace and the historic village of Greenwich - a designated World Heritage Site. We have a spacious double room available for a single person. The house is light, spacious and comfortable.

We are a couple of young professionals who have recently moved into our 1920's terrace. We both work long hours and have lots of sporting... more inside

Exciting volunteering opportunity on diverse small estate in rural Cambridgeshire

This is a unique mix of organic smallholding, nature reserve, formal gardens and in-house catering all underpinning a successful wedding venue.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience at a distinctly different family owned business; we pride ourselves on sowing, growing, cooking and serving our own produce as such the smallholding is a core part of our business.

Working directly with our grower and other professionals in our team you will gain experience of a wide range of practical horticultural activities. Given the seasonal variety of tasks and the diversity of our farm activities each day will present interesting new challenges!

For more information please explore our website.

Accommodation and meals will be provided.

Our home is a cottage in a wooded beauty spot in cornwall England in the Luxulyan Valley approx one mile from the Eden Project which is an internationally recognised ecological and educational complex.
We have 8 acres of fields, woodland and garden and a newly renovated out-building. Each year we have a small festival for friends and family during the summer. We are a friendly family of four (my husband, me and 2 small children) who live in a beautiful 16th century cottage in the South Downs National Park. We are just 7 miles north of the cosmopolitan seaside city of Brighton but are surrounded by idyllic woodland and hills full of deer, badgers and owls.

We moved to this old house a year ago and have lots of decorating and gardening work to do... work such as chopping wood, clearing weeds, stripping wallpaper, sanding floorboards ... Our large garden has the potential to be beautiful - we'd like to grow lots of vegetables, have a small forest garden and develop the pond area to attract more pond life. We hope to get chickens and ducks in April so can help with them.

We were hoping to do all this work ourselves but find it hard to find the time with 2 children. We also love the idea of having foreign visitors. We did lots of backpacking when we were younger and loved meeting people from all over the world. So it would be a pleasu... more inside
