We are a family with two young kids (9 and 6) running a farm that produces native mountain pepper in the beautiful southern tablelands of NSW. We have a 16 hectare property, about 20 km from Braidwood, which is 90% forested with towering gums, tree ferns, and remnant rainforest. Our property borders a national park on three sides and is a designated wildlife refuge. Wombats, wallabies, rare birds, and kangaroos all abound here.

From February to May we harvest and dry the native mountain pepper berries that that grow wild on our property. These berries, which were part of Aboriginal food and healing culture for centuries, are now highly sought after by chefs around the world. We are not certified organic, but the farm is 100% chemical free. This is totally wild harvesting. It is beautiful work.

We are also in the process of cultivating a plantation, which will include propagation of a thousand trees, and setting up a polytunnel.

We are seeking HelpX guests to help us harve... more inside

We are a young family (Mum(29yo), Dad(32yo), baby boy, 2 chihuahuas & a cattle dog). After years of travel we dreamed of returning to Australia and starting our own self-sustainable farm that we could subsist off with minimal impact to the environment and raise our child on a nature-filled property.

We are a year and a half into our dream and currently breed our own meat rabbits, have around 20 chickens and 3 horses, plus a number of native and exotic fruit trees and a good sized, varied seasonal veggie patch. Our future plans for the property are to introduce goats, ducks, a few cattle and expand our vegetable growing capacity and also to build an off-grid sustainable house from recycled materials and would love some help to make it possible!

Troy is an arborist, so while staying on our farm if interested you may have the opportunity to do some recreational tree climbing, Soph can take you horseriding through gorgeous state rainforest surrounding the property, we can teach ... more inside

Hello helpxers!
We have been busy renovating and clearing up our yard. We really need one or two helpers who are good with cleaning and gardening or at least willing to have a go. Landscaping and building skills would be brilliant too!

*at this point we have no rooms available in the house for sleeping in so we can only take helpers with their own camper van.

Our house is located in Middle Pocket, Northern NSW. We are in a beautiful valley, surrounded by cow pasture and rolling green hills - it's very peaceful, yet we are only 10 minutes from Brunswick Heads and half an hour from Byron Bay. There is also the nearby pristine South Golden Beach - about 5 minutes drive.

There is plenty to do on our property as we are sooooo busy being parents of young children, working AND studying. There is lots of gardening (I'm very interested in permaculture and self sufficiency and try to apply those principles to my projects - although I am just a beginner, I'd love to learn more i... more inside

The Blue Ribbon of Sydney is Dural, 35min fast train to the city of Sydney.
We reside in our own private oasis of beautiful trees, gardens, 2 ponies, 3 chickens, 2 ducks, 2 geese and our loving cat Panda, also our two awesome kids aged 3 and 7.
You will have your own lovely room with a Queen Size bed, 3 meals a day and snacks and wifi.
We are a very chilled out family and as our home is quiet large I need some help with household chores due to arthritis, a bit of mowing(our acres are mainly bush) and a bit of help wrangling the kids in the mornings and evenings.
We love a good laugh, a glass of wine and music.
Weekends are yours to do as you like and we are happy to take you out and about when we are free, otherwise drop offs to the trains is an option along with the bus.

Hello Help-Xers! We are a new family with our first baby almost 7 mths now, looking for a responsible female to help me a few hours for two days a week with baby sitting so I can do some work from home. You would be helping the community because I will be using the time to run my charity organisation and I am a volunteer too (its very hard with baby on board!) We have just moved to a lovely house with in Stanmore in Sydney's inner-west (not near the beach unfortunately!) but we are walking distance to train line or buses and a quick 10 minutes to the city. What we are looking for is someone who is responsible and healthy, and genuinely loves babies and willing to be present and play with the baby while I work from home for a few hours. We are vegetarian and chemical-free house so you would need to respect this (no perfumes). I run a charity organisation and support people who are new to Australia to feel welcome and connected here. Someone who is interested in this would be ideal. ... more inside

Hi! I am participating in a week long Hawaiian Temple Bodywork Training 19th-26th March and I have a 17month old daughter that will be there with us, however I would love someone to be with her throughout the day. The trainings are amazing and very transformative so I am looking for someone that is comfortable with spirit time and being around transformation, love and great vibes! My daughter (Paqari) and I will have a big tent outside and the lovely taking care will have a tent as well. All meals and accommodation will be included in exchange for taking care of Paqari. She is still breastfeeding so will need to come in a bit, and also will join us for meals as she loves 'Ohana (family) time. My daughter is a beautiful girl, very easy to take care of, she is a joy to be around. I would prefer a person that has experience with young children and can drive manual as you may like to go on adventures around the area throughout the day.
