Looking for people to help transform an old stables, ready for a wedding in the Spring. Need at least 2 people who are fun loving and hard working......please get in touch.

We are in the process of changing from a large agricultural farm to a smaller organic one, which embraces permaculture design and principles. Situated on the Welsh/English border, we have spectacular views, walks and history in the popular Welsh and English hills.

We are able to provide homestay within the 3 bedroomed farmhouse with the use of shared bathroom and kitchen facilities as well as a caravan and yurt in the summer months. We have various projects running all the way throughout the year which require a range of skills.

Family smallholding in rural East Yorkshire, set in a village. Three lively children to contend with! We try to produce our own food organically. We are near the end of a long renovation and extension project of our almost 300 year old cottage and need help with day to day outside chores and also masses of clearing and tidying from the build. Also need help reinstating the neglected vegetable gardens hopefully in time for some planting this year-lots of weeding to do! We currently have a handful of sheep, chickens, turkeys, kids ponies and lots of cats and dogs! We also are running a small (non organic) calf rearing business (30-40 calves). If we have wintery weather we also have a lot of internal decorating and finishing to do! Be prepared for a few hours of good physical work-but we do not expect you to be working all day. Working time can be flexible to allow you to explore the area and although we can't promise anything, with your help we will have more free time and may be able... more inside

We are a family who live on the outskirts of a village 4 miles away from the nearest town of Tewkesbury. We have a severely disabled teenager staying with us for respite 4 or 5 nights a week. We look after 6 sheep, 3 ponies (2 rescue, 1 rarebreed), a dog and 2 cats. 2 of our 3 children (16 and 21 )live at home, one working and the other at college and one (19) is away at uni most of the year.
I'd like help to turn the land into a tidy and productive permaculture style smallholding. My husband looks after the visiting disabled teenagers and I struggle outside- would appreciate someone with practical skills to help. We have a small gutted caravan as a spare bedroom, electricity attached and waterproof with a comfy king sized bed but needs renovation.

Roger and I live on the east side of Bodmin Moor in Cornwall and we have .75 of an acre with a few Xmas trees, a small polytunnel. We also have beds with a few vegetables. We need help mainly with outside, but it could also be inside with helping keep the house clean. Outside there is a lot to do. We have a spare room with own toilets and shower room. This is a quiet spot and would suit somebody who is happy with their own company and can work on their own. We live 8 miles from two main towns, Launceston and Liskeard. There are buses but not regularly. There are many opportunities for beautiful walks all around us. The nearest beach is 30 mn away.

Organically managed smallholding in the beautiful unspoilt Teign Valley, Devon. We have rare breed pet pigs, chickens and dog. We need help in preparing a stream bordered acre field for Yurts and compost loos. Jobs include cutting down and clearing fallen trees, clearing and planting stream bank, hedge laying and planting, some fencing also help with the vegetable plot and other typical smallholding tasks. There is a small caravan for accommodation although I am hoping to update the facilities. You would either eat in the house or do your own cooking in the caravan.
The smallholding is roughly 8 miles and a 20 min drive from the University City of Exeter and there are several buses a day. Two Pubs within easy walking distance and the village shop 2 miles away.Nearest beach half an hour's drive. This is a fairly quiet spot and would suit someone who is happy with their own company and has the experience and expertise to sometimes work on their own. The hours are negotiable and may s... more inside

This is a great house in the west of England that has been in our family since around 1260.

It is now the responsibility of a young couple who work in festivals and are aiming at developing the house as a sustainable and creative place for people to come and stay as well being a very lovely furnished holiday home for families and large parties.

We are doing a major tidy up, clear out and sort of the building and grounds. There's a fair amount of basic handywork required. Bits and pieces that need to be fixed, painted and so on.

We are looking for a hard working person who cares about old buildings and is up for getting stuck in as we get the house ready for an extensive redecoration and building project.

The house is steeped in English history and is a rare place as it has been inhabited by the same family for 750 years.

We live on a non working small farmstead in a beautiful rural area within the Peak District. We have a historic Georgian farmhouse with outbuildings, one of which is converted into a holiday cottage, which needs refurbishment. We have a large garden and two fields with our neighbour's sheep and our own two cats. We would love some help with this refurbishment (plastering, painting, laying floors) and also work around the grounds. If anyone can teach me how to lime plaster within the farmhouse, that would also be great! We have a spare bedroom ensuite within the main house and also accommodation within the two cottages if we work on one at a time.

I run an Organic Bed & Breakfast in the Breckland area of Norfolk. About 1 1/2 hours North of London. I grow most of our own fruit and vegetables. I have 15 Organic Free Range chickens and one spotty Dalmation 'Holly' dog. I need help with the vegetable garden, laundry work, cooking and housekeeping. I need help with about 6 to 8 hours work daily. We have 3 rooms all with private bathrooms. I speak fluent English, good French, a few words of Italian and German. I am a qualified teacher with TEFL UK, up to date CRB and First Aid Certificate. I also make curtains. If you would like to learn how to make curtains, this would be a bonus for you. I also need to renovate an old barn - are you interested? Is this something you can do?
