Situated 40 kms from Rouen and Dieppe we are a small livery stables for convalescent and injured horses.
We have 17 stables, an indoor/outdoor arena and 30 acres of grassland. Our livery horses stay with us and receive holistic treatments to help them recover from injuries. We then build an exercice program for the horses and work them so that they recover completely and to the best of their ability.
We are specialised in shiatsu for horses, dogs and humans. My partner is an osteopath and I am a Ride with your Mind coach. Our aim is to improve the relationship between the horse and the rider.
The helper will have an independent studio and garden, food will be provided in exchange for 3 / 4 hours of work per day. The work is variable from feeding the chickens, gardening, and caring for the horses. We are 3km from the village and sightseeing and the beach requires independent transport although public transport is 5 km away. Ideal for animal lovers and anyone who would enjoy worki... more inside

We have a little campsite in the heart of the Burgundy, in the Regional Park of the Morvan. We need help from 14th of July till the 7th of August 2017. The work is for about 3-4 hours a day: taking care of the toilet and showerblock, helping out twice a week in the snackcorner, cleaning the pool etc. The guests are mainly Dutch, you don't need to speak french. We are Dutch as well. We can provide you a tent or bring your own caravan or camper. Free meals with us, free wifi.
It is a beautiful region for hikes and bike rides. When you like you can organise little activities for our guests like a petanque or soccer competition or a camp fire.

We are Francis and Linda White. We like to think that we are welcoming and accommodating, and we live here with our two dogs a Cocker Spaniel and Weimaraner. They are both enthusiastic and friendly.
This beautiful old house was the former home and office of the local Notaire.
We tend to accommodate helpers in a nice garden room with en-suite facilities, and we provide all meals.
We have a Large Parkland Garden with meadow at the bottom. It was the life's work of the previous owner, however he let it get away from him during the latter years. The grounds could be lovely and productive, but help is needed to get it into manageable proportions.
This year we are hoping to clear a large area of land next to our garden, as it is owned by an elderly gentleman who is no longer able to look after it.
If you think that this is for you, then please get in touch.
We have been asked if we would allow people to camp. This is possible if you bring your own camping equipment, or if you ha... more inside

Hello travellers and helpers !

We are a family of 7, with 5 teens (12 to 18, the eldest studying in an other city). We live on a little hamlet on the countryside, 10' far from Dijon. There are 3 houses : our and 2 others used as "gîte" (guest houses). We do a lot by ourselves and some help would be very appreciated. There are many different things to do like : wood fences, painting, gardening, house renovation, animal care, ... Or anything else you would master and usefull for us (website creation / management). Most time, we'll work with you, explaining the way to begin with if needed.

You will be part of the family. Our five children have spent 6 month exchanges abroad (Germany / US / Spain / Canada). You'll have the guest room and perhaps sometimes you'll have to switch to another one.

4 to 5 work hours / 5 days a week are fine for us if you can be flexible, depending upon our own schedules.

You'll be able to use a bike to visit the village and surroundings and the tr... more inside
