I live in a small bungalow 6 miles(aprox 20 minutes by bike)from Killarney town and the renowned National Park.
I'm in the midst of trying to upgrade my home and need demolition (some small walls), construction (making sense of the madness), wooden floors laid, painting, pottering around the garden.
I'm from Killarney and work as a musician both teaching and playing music.
I have a spare bedroom and can offer meals.
I look forward to hearing from you and making a good exchange.

I live in what originally was a working farm, situated 17kms south of Westport in County Mayo. The accompanying 30 acres of fields are home to my landlord's cattle during summer months. I occupy the farmhouse and have exclusive use of the large farmyard and many sizable outbuildings.

The assistance required is quite varied, but mainly help with growing vegetables, making planter boxes, grass cutting, collecting firewood and general maintenance.

I prefer the helper to be a single male, especially one with gardening or woodworking/building experience, but that is not essential.

I am a long-term (6 years) host on CouchSurf, and an Ambassador, so consider that qualification enough to be a reference.

I have two dogs and two cats. I am a smoker, and so is my girlfriend.

I offer full board and accommodation in exchange for a few hours work each day. I do not impose 'rules', but I do expect helpers to show initiative if they notice something that needs attention.

If you ... more inside

We try to be self sufficient in our food production. Having goats, hens and loads of fruit and Veg. We also run our small business from home(see our website) and helpers often find themselves helping out with sewing classes as well weeding, digging, building and much more. Helpers sleep in a cozy caravan, but spend all thier time with us in a very friendly family atmosphere. We have one daughter, four dogs, four cats and no tv. We do have broadband although its a bit limited due you our beautiful remote location.

I'm a good cook, so I'm told, and happily cater for vegitarians and vegans as well as 'normal' eaters!!!
