I've got a bed and breakfast in the beautifull South West countryside of France, near Toulouse. I would be glad to have a sympathic helper who would like to discover our region.
I speak French, English, Dutch and Spannish. I have a cat, a dog, a horse, chickens.
I want to have some help for my activity (between May and September) and now, I need help to make some works in my old farm.
Help consists of: carpentry, building, painting, cut and fasten wood, gardening, etc. a plethora of activities mostly outdoors.
Minimum stay is 1 week. In exchange for the work I offer you a room and meals.

I live in a quiet neighbourhood but bigger city, Albi (50.000 inhabitants) is 10 minutes away by car.

I expect you to work 5 hours everyday and you get the weekends off to explore the country.

I look forward to hearing from you :)

We are a family of four who have small, but busy dog boarding kennels. We live on a 32 hectare farm, but we are not farmers. We live in the Aude, 1 hour from Carcassonne. We live in the countryside and this is a very popular holiday destination. There are lots of things to do and see: swimming in the rivers, visiting the castles etc. There is no public transport here but we would be very happy to drop you off in the town where there is a train station.
We require help for gardening, strimming, repairing fences and painting the outside of the house.
We would like someone for 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, all meals included.Couples and friends are very welcome. We have a small self-contained studio apartment as accommodation.

Hi.
We are Mark and Petra. I am English, petra is cz who speaks of course cz, English and French.
We are farming 250 ha, largely grass, some cereals. We have limousin cattle, cows with bulls, calving, rearing the calves etc.
We are interested in any help around the farm depending on the time of year. Also we have some building projects around the yard for helpers with those skills. Or, machinery maintenance is always ongoing.

Just to add, the map is from my old profile many years ago and is incorrect. We are in the limousin area of France, I don't know how to change the map :-(

Hello Helpxers,
My experience as an helpxers has been very rewarding for me and It is with much joy and anticipation that I offer to return the favor. For a while my itchy feet will have to stay planted, thus I am trying to bring the exotic to me. I am fluent in both French and English, and I am learning German. As this will be my first experience hosting someone, it would be best if you have some basis of one of these three languages.
I live with my mom, in a little house, 7km away from Moissac, known for its well-preserved Saint-Pierre Abbey, and 75km from Toulouse, also known as the pink city, “La Ville Rose”, due to its architecture made of pinkish bricks. Beyond a few hills west live my grand-parents, life-long farmers. They speak as much English as would a goat, but words count for little when it comes to communication. My grand-mother’s cooking is the best, do not even consider arguing about that matter; it is a hard fact, not an “alternative fact”! And further down the v... more inside

Anyone out there heading for South West France in Spring and Summer? We are an English family living on a beautiful 30 acre domain of woodland, pasture and wild flower meadows about half an hour South of Carcassonne and just 5 minutes from the bustling medieval market town of Mirepoix.

We are looking for two friends or a couple to come and help us get the place ready for our 2017 summer season. We'd need you to arrive at the end of March and stay until early or mid-May. The work is really varied and most of it is outside. There's the pool to clean and summer kitchen and terrace to organise and everything will need a bit of attention after the winter months. There will be a bit of painting to do, jet washing terraces, some gardening work, grass cutting and weeding, erecting the tipi, opening up the swimming pool etc. It would obviously be a good match if you are fairly practical.

We are also looking for some very special girls (2 friends or a couple) who fancy spending a minimu... more inside

Hi my name is Niels Peter Flint - I am a "sustainable vision developer" / architect, designer and artist. I live partly in Denmark and partly in France and work solely with how we can transform humans into becoming "sustainable visionaries" - NOT missionaries ;-) If this sounds interesting to you come and experience and maybe live for a bit at an amazing place 1,5 hours south west of Paris. Come and help me doing the gardening, the landscaping and work on the buildings as well - and maybe other things as well in relation to courses and workshops that I do here - on sustainable living. My place is for very open minded people who cares about nature and wellbeing in general - its a place for persons who are interested in a life which caters all of us despite race, sexuality, religion etc.

Small scale organic farming, we try to be self-sustaining - poor but happy!
Jon (m, 53) and Nico (f, 50), we arrived here in 2007 and constructed our first stawbalehouse (20m²), then added an extension (with a simple room for visitors and a bathroom). We have sheep, chicken, two small ponds, a forest and a lot of different work to do, almost without machines. We live from what we produce ourselves and earn money with feltmaking and small jobs and exchange products and help with people around us.
We like to recieve people to share our experience of living and because working together is much more fun!

This year(2017)the main activity will be continue the construction of our future house: put clay on walls out of strawbales, electricity, grey water system, and a lot of other work...

We can't offer a lot of comfort (no heating in your room)but we'd be happy to share with you gardening, constructing, woodwork, handcraft .....a good time in general. If you have special ski... more inside
