We are finally in our new home on our 5 ha 'lifestyle block' approx 10 minutes north of Whangarei since July '18. There is landscaping to do, also possibly planting and painting at times.
Once we get the grounds sorted, we will want to plant trees, provided it doesn't get too dry.

We have one spare bedroom with en-suite - so it's one visitor, or a couple who are comfortable sharing a queen sized bed.
Love gourmet food, international cuisine, we're omnivorous, we host a boardgame group that meets fortnightly, Suze is into all kinds of fibre arts and crafts, Peter does 'fine' Woodwork. Going to cut it short here ...

We invite you to join a organic Family home and lifestyle block with two amazing toddler girls.
Our lifestyle involves hands on work in and around our beautiful setting on a daily bases. Once duties and tasks are done there is always some fun, pleasure and joy given. Cooking is a daily part of our routine, we are not vegetarians but meat comes last on our list, if then thoroughly enjoyed.
Our toddlers are always on the go and busy with us together, if you like to join us for some time you must be a person with your inner child still given, creative, responsible, firm but KIND and loving. Honesty is a big must, preferably not smoking, but definitely not a drinker or and taking drugs!
Mornings is time for work, afternoon and evening time for pleasure.
At times you might be with children for one hour by yourself and look after them. You are the wrong person if you don't see and or aren't observing enough to be hands on in a busy young family routine. There are two horses joining ... more inside

Come and experience real farm life on a small scale! We've got lots of exciting projects going on at the moment.

** Looking for 1-4 helpers as soon as possible, from 12th till 19th January then from 27th January onwards **

** Ideally helpers will be practically minded, mature (23+ yo), hard working and able to work without supervision at times. People with interest in sustainable living, permaculture and experience in building are best suited but it is not a must **

We have `finished` building our eco home (green building, passive solar, totally off-grid) mostly ourselves and with the help of great helpx travellers.

On our 26ha farm, we run about 80 sheep and 12 beef cattle with calves. This is a breeding farm, which means we produce baby animals for the sale rather than fatten them for slaughter. We have a small White Galloway stud with extremely pretty cows :)

We are trying to develop our place and our self-reliance further following some permaculture principles. W... more inside

I am a lady farmer running our family farm which is an 80 hectare sheep and beef property, with horses.

We have a close country community with my sister and family living nearby, so guests can expect to experience New Zealand rural life. You will live as family in our home with your own bedroom and bathroom upstairs.

Duties will be varied and include cooking, housework gardening, help with the animals and general farm duties.

There are several horses to be cared for and exercised, if you are a very capable rider, as some of the horses are young.

This would suit 2 friends or a couple with their own transport.

This is not such a great place if you have allergies.

Because I have arthritis my mobility is somewhat limited.

We welcome self-motivated adults who will roll up their sleeves and enjoy the tasks. People who like to make a difference and are happy to socialise with us and our friends.
