Our property is located 10 kms out of beautiful Taupo and 5 minutes from Kinlock, Wayne is a senior member and whips for the local hunt club and also works with young horses, we also run a small number of cattle along with having chooks and a few sheep. And rear calves in the spring. Here we also have a hair and beauty salon so have people coming and going, and have 2 toy poodles that own the place ??. We would ideally like to host someone who likes horse riding and is able to exercise the horses but not accentual so must love all animals as well as general horse duties, gardening, maintenance and house work. Also sometimes helping with the evening meal when Denise is working late. If a true horse person you are welcome to ride one of the horses at the hunts. a maximum amount of hours work a day would be 4-5 but we are flexible as we realise there is many attractions you may want to see while here.Own transport would be preferred but we are happy to run you into town when needed. ... more inside

We have a lovely home in Lake Taupo and would love to have some maintenance, gardening and cleaning help. We are artisan pasta makers and moved here from Italy 24 years ago. We have an 18 year old son called Eros that lives with us and a dog and cat. We are very sociable people that love good food and enjoy meeting people from different countries. We love Taupo and the surrounding areas and compete in off road running marathons. The house is a 15 minute walk to Taupo centre and a 10 minute walk to the lake.

We are a family with 3 young children living on the lake front in Taupo. We require a female HelpXer with childcare experience to look after our two boys aged 7 and 5, for 3 days per week, 7 hours per day, in exchange for all meals and accommodation. This is for 3 weeks starting 12th January.

There may also be additional work available on our section for a second person - clearing weeds, mowing lawns, splitting wood, and possibly some planting.

Drivers licence is preferred.

You will have your own bedroom with a queen size bed, and your own bathroom. Our house is on the lake front and has a big deck with a lovely lake outlook. The Sailing Centre is just over the road, which rents out sailing boats and paddle boards and has a bar and great wood fired pizzas. It's the perfect spot for summer!

We are an outdoorsy family and can show you the best local mountain bike and walking trails, lake swimming spots and some good old kiwi hospitality.

You must like young children t... more inside

We are a couple in our mid 30s who have just started a business and had a baby. We are looking for a female (preferably) to stay with us to help around the house, garden and with our 7 month old baby. We have a lovely cottage with great views and are rural, yet 2 minutes drive from town - the best of both worlds. We have a dog, cat and 7 hens so fresh eggs daily.

We live on a sheep and beef farm located 30 mins from Taihape in the central north Island. The Pukeokahu District has some really great calling cards, consisting of spectacular scenery and River Valley Lodge - White Water Rafting and Horse Treking, which brings in many different people, from many different countries via Kiwi Experience buses. We also have Gravity Canyon (bungy jumping) just down the road and also snow skiing is only about 1 & 1/2 hrs away.
I require 1 - 2 guys, motivated and hard working, to help. I require your help around my gardens, helping build garden beds, shoveling dirt, using powered garden equipment. In return for your board and keep, I require approx 4-5hrs work a day. Help duration is approx 1 week.
It would be a must to have your own car, as there is no public transport.

Situated high in the hills of Taupo, best views in the area a million dollar property that caters to special guests.
Need help with garden work, mostly hedge/bush trimming working from the ground and ladder, it is hard work and there is plenty to do. Inside there is cleaning and painting to be done in the garage plus windows and door cleaning. Taupo is in the centre of the North Island and there are some amazing things to see.At the moment we could offer a week in March, but be prepared for some hedge cutting that is very strenuous!Ideally you would need transport as we are 10 out of town.

We are commercial vegetable growers and have some sheep and beef on small property. Very busy in winter with work in the pack house. Spring and Summer mean house chores and weeding the garden, stacking wood and maintenance around the yard. Autumn winter mostly working in the market garden helping to pick, wash and pack vegetables (parsnips and swedes) There are occasional jobs on the farm, in the house and around the yard to do. Happy to accommodate and feed you 3 hearty meals a day in exchange for 4 enthusiastic hours work. Being part of the household for us means helping out with the everyday chores of living together. So if you're not keen to help with the dishes or bring in the wash if it starts to rain then perhaps we're not the hosts for you. We have only very limited access to internet - basically emailing only sorry. We are 15 minute drive from the nearest town. Hiking, skiing, mountain biking, fishing all close to home or kick back and relax in spa, sauna or the house when y... more inside
