Both of us retired but very active in the Community Arts world and with Tramping. If we have visitors who are keen to help out with some work, My bad hip means there are a lot of ordinary jobs I need help with; e.g. lots of outside painting to be done this summer. We have a lifetime experience of hosting and being hosted (High School Exchange students...SERVAS, which is a world-wide hosting system...etc..)
We've had 3 hostings, all very very good...lovely people and worked very hard for me. I'm hoping another 1 or 2 will visit, as I have an iron roof that still has to be cleaned before I paint it.

Homestay on a deer farm in rural Hawkes Bay.
Gisborne is the closest airport/town, 75Km away.
Happy to arrange pick up from here if required.
Great beaches, lakes, bushwalks, waterfalls, hotsprings, and rocket launch range nearby.
Help is mostly domestic chores; cleaning, gardening, cooking for working host - share your national dish with me.....
Have some more technical jobs for those mechanically inclined, setting up work benches, and a workshop for your host... me!
No farm work, just happen to be in the middle of an operating farm, which is nice...
Pretty relaxed here, have a few toys to share, camper van, gyrocopter, car to use if needed, looking for chilled, mature, open minded travelers on their journey around NZ...

I am a 43 year old male, living alone, my adult daughters stay sometimes...

Have unlimited wifi, cell reception is a bit patchy, unless you walk 2 minutes from the house!

House Elf and Garden Gnome wanted ....
GARDEN HELP, WOOD STACKING WANTED
Hi there, animal-loving people welcome. Wanting someone (or a couple) now, I am busy with work and its great to have someone in the house to keep running the household when I am busy all day and evening......Lovely Warm home, dry, lovely swimming pool, friendly, rural but close to town. Farm and garden work for practical handy people, and helping feed my pets - dogs, horses, cats, pet lamb, chickens, neuts, axolotl, fish.
At different times of the year some help with farm work and fixing things - stacking hay, feeding out to cattle, laying water pipes and pumps, clearing up wood and trees, tidying up after fencing, tree planting, that sort of thing. I have two horses and help is appreciated with grooming and keeping gear sorted for trekking, and also could do with help in the garden and around the house - a bit of light weeding and a bit of light housework. Cleaning all the bridles and saddlery, sorting... more inside
