Hi there! Thanks for checking us out.
The property, has 4 rescued, retired race horses.
I currently have an injury and I`m on crutches, so I need help with grooming, feeding out, cutting and spraying of weeds; re-sewing; harrowing or mucking out paddocks; property maintenance and maybe a wee bit of housework and gardening.
While not a necessity, an interest in horses would be really lovely.
You would not be staying on the property, but with me in my comfortable house, a few minutes drive away.
We are meat eaters but happy to accommodate vegetarians if you`re willing to pitch in with cooking/ideas, but not vegans, sorry.
We are non-smokers.
You would be asked to help out for 4 hours per day with one day off during the week (or 24 hours per week) and preferred stay would be 2 weeks; but this is negotiable beforehand.
Prefer a couple with their own transport; or over 25 with drivers licence.
We are not far from the capital (Wellington) and have the Tararua Ranges on our... more inside

Hi, we live on a small lifestyle block in the sunny Wairarapa, minutes from the wine town of Martinborough and the boutique shops of Greytown

Sharing our home with us, depending on the time of year is a combination of Sheep, Pigs, Cattle, Ducks, Chickens, a Peacock, Cat and Dog

The property also includes extensive gardens, including a large (but currently unruly) vegetable garden and a small number of fruit trees spread around

There's plenty to do, for a wide range of skill sets, and we'd love to share our home and the region with you

We're new to this, but imagine that the arrangement might include approx. 4 hours of general garden work and / or cleaning. All necessary tools are on site.

We can offer accommodation, meals (we're big meat eaters but can cater to vegetarian / vegans if needed), WIFI, use of mountain bikes and some local guidance / transport as required

We're 5 minutes from the local shops and the train station (where you might arrive from Wellington)... more inside

We are a family of four, Jez, Lucy and two children aged 7 and 9. We live in a lovely house, 10 minutes walk from the centre of lovely Greytown. Within walking or biking distance there are bike trails, the river, a museum, countryside, pubs, shops and cafes.
We are ideally looking for a couple to stay for one or two weeks, working on weeding and tidying the garden and veggie beds, pruning and preparing the ground for planting. We have chickens, veggie beds, and fruit trees. There may also be some inside painting work required, if time permits.
You will be able to stay in our clean and cosy ensuite guest room which we normally rent out as a B&B. The room has its own toilet, shower, microwave, kettle and toaster, TV, and queen bed, and seating area.
In exchange for four hours of work for each person five days a week (happy to negotiate an arrangement that suits you), we will supply breakfast and lunch, linen, and free wifi. Greytown is about an hour and half north of central Welling... more inside

Looking for a short-term (1-3 weeks) female helper ASAP to help with childcare (kindergarten age, pref. German speaking), gardening and general household chores while we are busy working outside with our beehives. We are also preparing to move house soon, so there is too much to do and not enough time in a day :)

We have got space for 1 female helper to help with everyday tasks (e.g. cleaning, cooking, looking after the kid(s)) and help with tidy up work in the garden.
You should have some experience (e.g. household, kids) and we'd like a 7-10 days minimum stay.

Jobs are a mixed and weather dependent - gardening (e.g. weeding, watering, tidy up jobs, odd jobs & projects), daily family life & household tasks (e.g. dishes, cleaning, help with cooking & washing), feeding animals/pets and looking after the kids.

We are a Kiwi-German family with 3 children (7, 10 and & 4 yrs old) and live in the beautiful Wairarapa region. We live on a sheep & beef farm about 3kms from the s... more inside

My partner and I run a 650 cow dairy operation on the outskirts of Greytown in the North Island. We live on the farm with our dog Mac.
We are looking for a helper or a couple that can assist us with calf rearing and jobs around our garden starting from July until August/September. Help needed with farm animals and some lifting so helpers must be willing and able to work physically.

In return for your help, accommodation and food will be provided. Accommodation is a shared house with us and Mac. It is warm and close to Greytown. Only 1.5 hours from the capital, Wellington.

We love travelling and learning about different cultures so would really enjoy hosting someone that is also interested in learning about us and how we operate our dairy farm.

Hi there, I'm Jasper, originally from the Netherlands but ive been in NZ since 2003 , I am a solo father of three kids (7, 9 and 11 year old) and could use a bit of help around the house and with minding my children. Basically the occasional babysitting in the evenings , some basic light household work and perhaps some (small) gardening help and being around when the kids come home after school so I can work a bit longer. You can do your own cooking or eat with us. WiFi available. You will have your own room in our spacious home and we have an incredible area to explore all around us , beach on our doorstep and amazing hills and rural peace surrounding you. I speak English, Dutch and German but kids only speak English. It would help if you have a vehicle as we do live rural. Hoping to host someone caring, friendly and proactive that loves the kiwi lifestyle as much as we do !

A small 5 acre block in early stages of being planted as a food forest and permaculture block. Very rural, on a gravel road, in a NZ drystock farming/forestry area. Help want with varied activities such as fence building, digging, making garden beds, creating compost heaps, working in potting nursery shed, planting trees and plants, mulching. Attending to care and feeding of a small herd of rescue animals including goats, sheep, chickens and ducks. Building animal pens and shelters. Maybe chopping and stacking firewood or just collecting pine cones. Opportunities to learn about permaculture as you work.

Greetings from the beautiful Kapiti Coast, on the west coast of the lower North Island.

I need some help with doing some house renovations. Mostly interior painting, some wallpaper stripping. Outside painting too. Maybe some demolition and re-lining walls depending on abilities. Also lawn weeding. There is so much to be done, you can choose what you would like to help with.

The Beautiful Kapiti coast offers the beach and ocean (beach access just across the road from the house), a beautiful island bird sanctuary, amazing bush walks, with the Tararua ranges offering longer hiking if you’re that way inclined. Wellington City is an hour away by train. 45 mins by car.

I have a lovely sunny backyard to relax in, and a big vege patch with some things to harvest (soon!), and a spa pool in the garden. Laundry facilities available.

Minimum stay 2 nights, maximum one week.
Three hours of work a day in exchange for a comfy bed and bedding, and breakfast foods. If you like to ... more inside

This is a simple bach, 5 min walk to a beautiful beach and stream. There is a kayak, bikes and boogie board for use. A small fridge, small stove, shower and composting toilet. A great viewing platform where you can sit and relax and see the beach.

This place is available only sometimes, as it is our holiday and occasional week long hangout, not our permanent abode. However, you can be here before we arrive or after we leave and we make it overlap where we can. Just enquire and discuss.

Just email me and I let you know if we are there.

We consist of my partner Natalie, myself, and our 4 children, ranging from 4y to 15 y of age, and a dog. Sometimes we take two chickens. Sometimes it's just three of us.

Please check with us via email if you are interested. It's a great stop on your way to Wellington or North from Wellington.

I would ask you to help for 2.5 hr per night you stay, and provide your own food.
Help is largely needed for jobs like weeding, lawnmowing... more inside
