We are an older couple living on a lifestyle block with a small warmblood horse breeding unit. We also enjoy developing gardens both for food & pleasure (potager, vege beds, herb gardens, wild flower garden & borders) We have two foals rising 1 year, 1 pregnant mare due January and 2 mares due to be impregnated this season. We also have chooks, and a couple of house pets.
We offer separate studio accommodation in an atelier on the property. This has an ensuite bathroom and kitchenette with stove, washing machine, crockery and cutlery.
Included is wifi (limited) and widescreen tv with a large collection of movies available. We prefer 1 week stays. We expect 4 and a half hours of work daily. Generally work at Sunnymede includes garden maintenance, weeding, landscaping, mucking out horse fields, horse grooming (if you know horses!), and housework.
You are expected to provide your own meals but your studio kitchen is stocked with basic items such as flour, rice, sugar, coffee, m... more inside

Located in the hills high above the Hutt Valley with views of the Wellington harbour, we have a large rural section covered mostly with native bush (forest). We have chickens, ducks and a very dominating cat.

Myself (Helena) and husband (Tobe) both work in the city, and our two kids are 14 (daughter) and 19 (son, not living at home).

It is very peaceful, apart from the occasional rooster crowing, and you will have your own room(s) and bathroom in our large home.

We need help with our section. Gardening, digging, gorse removal (not for the faint-hearted!) weeding and general yardwork.

We eat a lot of vegetarian meals but also meat and fish. Would love some help with cooking if you're keen in the kitchen!

Non-smoking please.

Comfortable wee place with wifi and minimal mod cons. Delicious meals close to city and beach, calm and friendly environs in return for light housework, laundry, gardening and errands and occasional baby sitting-(11 yr old).Possibly some prep/cleaning work in a kitchen over busy Chritmas period.
Commonsense and initiative is essential in finding tasks to fill your helper hours.
Looking for help maintaining my garden, & lawn, weeding, summer watering & with some landscaping projects. The current project involves beautifying my small garden, and redecorating my daughters room. Some woodworking skills would be an asset
Very flexible and social host so great for networking..
Initative and thoroughness always appreciated. Mature and experianced helpers with previous good reviews preferred.

Roy and I lead a very busy life. We need help in the garden, spring-cleaning and some minor house maintenance and painting. We have a small dog who spends a lot of her time with Roy at work. We have two grandchildren living with us too.
Plimmerton is a small seaside village, 20 mins drive from Wellington city. There is a very good train service leaving every 30 minutes from the station. Trip into Wellington is 30 minutes.
Our home is a five minute walk to the beach.
Roy is a eccentric Irishman who deals in classic cars, Annie works with families affected by mental health issues.
Our home is set in a tranquil environment in bush and gardens. We get a lot of pleasure entertaining and being active in the Wellington Folk music scene and often have musical evenings at home.
We both enjoy food, wine and good company.
We would like four hours work a day in exchange for accommodation and meals . We are flexible about how you do this. There is a double room available for you.
We have... more inside

Hi,
I'm looking for people to do some gardening or light house work for me in exchange for full board. The gardening duties are reasonably light: digging, weeding etc for 4 hours a day. I live about 20 mins from centre of Wellington. I am also 10 mins from the sea. I am a single mother of two girls and run my own business. So abit of help every now and then would be great!

Our home is a residential property situated on a hill in a beautiful bush covered valley that looks down the Ngaio Gorge, out to Wellington harbour and across to the Taurua ranges.

The house has the feel of a 'tree house' sitting atop beautiful native bush that attracts many native birds, yet it is only 6 minutes drive, down the original single track road out of Wellington, and right into the centre of Wellington.

There are lots of good bush walks nearby, with one that leads up through native bush to one of Wellingtons most beautiful vistas, offering 360 degree views of the Wellington region.

We are in close proximity to bus services and within walking distance of a railway station and supermarket.

The house is a large weather board house with plenty of room for guests. You would have your own separate living area including double bedroom, ensuite and lounge with own tv and hi-fi. There is access to your own outdoor deck, with use of shared kitchen upstairs. The house... more inside

Hi, our names are Greg and Leah. We live on a lifestyle property 30 mins drive from Wellington city. The property is close to train stations and walking distance from the town of Plimmerton. We are a couple with grown up kids (one who lives on the property, and one who stays often). We have 4 horses, a small flock of sheep, a couple of chickens and 3 dogs (one puppy, a friendly lab and one wary tiny dog)

In exchange for a room and meals, we are looking for short term helpers for jobs around the farm, e.g. post and rail fencing. We also would like help with firewood stacking, weeding etc. When you are done for the day there are some nice walking tracks around, or borrow a bike to ride over to plimmerton to check out the town/seaside, or journey into the city and enjoy some time in Wellington.

We are a large inner city home shared by 11 friends, 2 min from the botanic gardens and 5 min from Lambton Quay.

We are working on making our land more productive. So far we have bees, a chicken coop, and a small orchard. We have plans to further terrace our backyard, build a glass house and plant bee-friendly plants for this coming spring/summer.

We also have other projects going on that might need a hand here or there including a boat build and exterior house maintenance.

We expect our volunteers to be one of the household, which means picking up a cleaning job and cooking night on our rosters.

We offer our volunteers food and accomodation for 4 hours of work per day for 5 days a week, not including the cooking/cleaning above which is shared equally amongst all living here and is over and above.

We'd like to hear from volunteers with some experience and who are happy to get on with it without needing close supervision/direction.

We have vacancy from from ear... more inside

We are a small family (mother and 2 children aged 13 and 15). My son enjoys tennis, music and technology. My daughter plays piano and is a ballroom/latin dancer.

We live in a large house in central Wellington near parliament and the railway station.

We would love a young woman, preferably Latina (native Spanish-speaking) join our family and help with caring for children after school.

We want to improve our Spanish, the children are Chiwis (Half Kiwi / Half Chilean). In return we offer free food and accommodation (private room), free internet wifi etc.

We live within walking distance to of all the attractions Wellington city has to offer.
