This is a 21 acre farm property between Brightwater and Richmond bordering the Wairoa river. We have a small boutique vineyard which provides plenty of work opportunity throughout the year. We raise 30-40 bobby calves in Winter/Spring and also have 30 beehives which need work now and then. We have a range of maintenance jobs including continuing work on the Woofers accommodation. We also plant, weed and maintain native seedlings around the boundary of the property. The main job we have is to prune and tie down 3000 grape vines each May and June. We are a working family with two young boys who need a hand with farm projects from now and then.

We use manual vineyard practices. We mulch where possible and use this in the orchard. Sheep are used to leaf pluck the grapes. We use composting bins for garden waste. We have a large open worm farm. We feed our food scraps to chickens and ducks.

We eat mainly home killed meat from cattle, sheep, chickens and ducks from the farm. We have... more inside

Small non-commercial olive grove in central Mapua near the coast with friendly chickens and goats. Occasional planting projects as we try and establish a bush block and fruit orchard. Jobs include weeding, pruning, hedge trimming, wood chopping, fence building & other general maintenance work.
Folk with own vans welcome at the moment while we build. Will later be able to take folk without own facilities.

We're located walking distance from the beach, shops, bars & restaurants. We're on the Great Taste Trail and central for access into the Abel Tasman. Can adjust work hours to ensure you get days off to explore.

We are having a family holiday and are not taking any visitors for the next few weeks.

We live on a beautiful lifestyle farm 20 minutes from Motueka in the lovely Orinoco Valley. Our farm is planted with plenty of native plants which attract lots of native birds. We have some sheep and cows.

You will have a private room with a great view, king size bed, private bathroom and Wifi. 3 meals a day are provided. This would suit a couple, or two people who donít mind sharing a bed!

It would be good if you have your own car, however I can pick you up and drop you off at Motueka if you need.

Our family of four (including two children aged 5 and 3) needs help with some farming activities, gardening, house maintenance and any other things that might pop up.

We would really like to learn about your country and culture. If you like cooking then we would love you to cook your favourite meal for us!

4 hours a day, flexible hours. Would really prefer people to be able to sta... more inside

We live on a peninsula on the stunning Waimea Estuary with views over the water & mountains.

We are looking for help with a variety of projects on our property, including building, landscaping, painting, firewood, gardening & cooking. (We love to try different meals, and we can show you some Kiwi classics!!) We are revegetating the land in native trees. We would prefer helpers with plenty of initiative as we both work during the week.

We look to having helpers to stay initially for a week with the option to extend if we all get along and there's still things to be done.

You would be staying with Andrew, Christine & Greta. We have a crazy cat, a spectacularly cute dog, chooks, sheep & cattle. We have travelled extensively and enjoy meeting people from other countries. Andrew speaks Spanish.

Mapua is 10 minutes drive, Richmond 10 minutes, Nelson 20 minutes & Abel Tasman Park 40 minutes. There is no bus service near the house however Andrew or Christine are driving to & fr... more inside

We live on a beautiful lifestyle block 25 minutes from Nelson and less than 10 minutes from Richmond. Stock are being reared on the majority of the land but we have substantial gardens and a large vegetable patch, as well as growing fruit and nuts. As father of 2 gorgeous children a dog and several gold fish we can always do with a hand keeping the 2 acres of grounds in good shape. The guest accommodation is separate, spacious and of a high standard. We are lucky enough to enjoy a 15m swimming pool, a tennis court and stunning surroundings. We love cooking, food, wine and using our own produce wherever possible.

Hi, I am Astrid and I own a small house very close to the city centre.
It is in a great position overlooking the port and only a 20 min walk to town and 30 to the beach. Nelson is well know for its artistic flair and the beautiful buzz and sunshine it is oozing during the summer. With the Matai River so close, you will also find gorgeous swimming holes.
You can surf, paddle board or mountain bike just around the corner and there are also a couple of nice trails for walking/hiking. We have a fantastic Saturday market with lots of local food ,arts and craft stalls.

I am interested to host people who have some practical skills and are reasonable strong as the house needs mainly landscaping done and some painting.
In the moment I am replacing a deck and need some natural stairs installed that will lead down into the garden. I would appreciate people with some hands on experience. I work during most days and it would be great if you are self driven and able to work unsupervis... more inside

We live in Brooklyn Valley, 8 km out of Motueka. The valley boarders Kahurangi National Park and there are many local (from the house) walking; tramping, mountain biking, kayaking or fishing opportunities. We have WiFi and cellular reception :)

Our house is close (approx 16 km)to Kaiteriteri or Marahau the gateway to Abel Tasman National Park. We have 2 kayaks and 2(oldish) road bikes.

Our house and cottage have 7 bedrooms in total, so plenty of room for everybody. Beds, linen, towels provided. Both of us are excellent cooks with our daily menus including vegan, vegetarian, fish and meat dishes supplemented with salads and vegetables from the garden.

We have several projects on the go! Currently, we are in the process of restoring our garden after it was severely flooded due to a storm earlier in the year. We are planting and weeding mostly, with a bit of light creek work, and if all fails there are plenty of windows to clean!

We will provide you with accommodation and ... more inside

We have a slice of paradise here in the Motueka Valley and invite you to come and stay with us and share our rural lifestyle, especially over summer with swimming 2 minutes away, three National Parks nearby to explore... beaches, mountains, forest, mountain biking etc and 15 hectares of farmland, remnant forest and life beside the Motueka River where we live.

We are flexible with accommodation - plenty of room to park up your own vehicle or stay in our retro-caravan at our riverside campsite, with access to our home a few minutes away. We have a very friendly dog called Indy and a variety of animals that we farm.

In exchange for accommodation and food we'd love some help with our endless list of jobs that need doing - something to suit all skill levels, but centred around gardening, firewood gathering/chopping, building maintenance, painting, fencing, construction, weed control, and working towards re-foresting our creek-side remnant forest (weed clearing and seedling raising)... more inside
