We are located 6km from Takaka and have a lifestyle block with a good size vegetable garden, lots of fruit trees and blueberry orchard. Projects always on the go, have just started our house building project. 8 chooks, two little cats and Klaus & Rita call it a wonderful place to be.

Klaus is a woodworker and works from home. Rita is a designer and a writer, and looks after holiday accommodation elsewhere. She also has two horses and is keen on natural horsemanship.

Current jobs: gardening, landscaping, housework, cooking, building, bicycle maintenance.

We like mature, independent, fun visitors. Accommodation in fully self contained funky gypsy wagon. Bikes available to use. WiFi.

Trying to get some photos up soon! :)

First established in 1974, the park comprises of approximately 161 hectares (400 acres of regenerating native bush, and has been maintained and re-forested after previous years of severely burnt farm land with highly degraded soils.
The park is used on daily basis by the general public, particularly during the summer months when it is extremely popular for walking on the many established tracks, and for observing the varied bird-life, dog walking and general gentle relaxation and pleasure.
The park acquired reserve status in 1999 and a non-profit incorporated society was established soon after.
We are a young family with one child and manage the Park.
We are generally very busy family Justin working as Ranger and Regina practicing Bio dynamic Gardening (Certificate Taruna Collage North Island).
At the moment we don't take any people because our accommodation is fully booked.
Keep in touch

Large farm at the head of the Waignaro valley. Most of the land is hill country with native bush or regenerating scrub. The flats are a mixture of pine plantation (80%) and pasture (20%). The clear blue Waignaro river runs through the farm, offering opportunities to explore, swim, fish or relax.
