We have a 1900 farmhouse on an acre which we are restoring and landscaping. We are building stone walls, wooden sheds, atriums and so on. We need help particularly for landscaping and building. We are also about to spruce up the old pub here - built in the 1870's - which we are going to lease.
We need help in a whole lot of ways with that. There is a managers flat in the hotel for those who want to help and we will have meals together up the road at the farmhouse.Jobs there include establishing an organic kitchen garden.

We run a 750 cow farm situated in western Southland, currently calving there's plenty to do and experience around the farm, help feed the babys, or milking the cows through our brand new rotary milking parlour. Working outside in beautiful New Zealand is an absolute pleasure.
Our farm is less than 2 hours drive to Queenstown and even closer to fiordland national pArk, the aparima river runs directly behind our house and there is plenty of angler acess for fly fishing.

Thanks to all the helpers we had in the last few months. Now with winter upon us, we won't require anymore helpers till October.
We like the 25 to 50's age-group with a bit of life's experience. Either way it's good to be fit and strong, preferably not scared of heights and happy to do heavy gardening like shoveling mulch and compost around, weeding etc as well as housework and cleaning.
We love having trades people and someone competent in fixing things, using a power saw for tree trimming etc and power tools. There must be one person with a driver's licence who is competent at driving on the left side of the road, and has had driving experience in NZ country roads.
Previous helpers have made us realise that if they have their own transport, it makes it easier to go sightseeing etc on their days off - it's not essential but gives you more freedom to explore our wonderful southern paradise!
In the last seven years, thanks to the great helpers we have had, we have completed ... more inside

We are a family farm with 120/150 dairy cows. and We Have a passion for cows, .. We offer varied kinds of work..eg. farm work, house work and gardening..so if you would like to come help it would be much appreciated. We have a warm home so as the winter months draw in you wont be cold.
We live just off the State Highway 1 and 2 km out of the small township of Edendale...Great touristy spot like the Catlins and other scenic attractions are only a stone throw away..so to speak..
We are an easy going couple that would expect some work in return for bed and meals...Have all the modern cons with a spa to relax in at the end of the day..

Cheers Debbie

Welcome to the home of Carolyn and Laurie. We run a high country sheep and beef farm, half way between Queenstown and Invercargill approx 1 hour drive from both. Also only a small hour from Te Anau to the west and Gore to the east. Mostly we would like help with cooking, housekeeping, mow lawns and gardening and there is the opportunity to go out on the farm.We have farmed here as a family over generations, the 4th generation "learning the ropes" now. We are quite flexible with help needed vs activities depending upon what is happening on the farm. Our highest peak on the farm is Lowther Peak and is worth climbing. Its 3,000ft above sea level. 2,000 to climb from the house. carolyn
