We have an 1861 ex school on two acres we are putting in organic gardens and landscaping including some painting
We are wanting workers for 5-6 days at a time.
The work is fun and we would prefer two people at a time.
At the School live Donna my wife and I we have no children, we are both just 50 and pretty laid back. And run a local newspaper business from our home office, The accommodation offered is new, self-contained and detached from the main house, it is quite spacious with a kitchen dining table and shower toilet bathroom.
We are only nine minutes by car to the beautiful town of Daylesford (Google it!)
We have kangaroos in the wold within walking distance as well as a public dam full of trout two minutes walk away.

As we are a journalist and photographer couple we are always on the road around our district and would love to share our special part of the world with visitors.

Both Donna and I have been backpackers around the world so no what it is like to travel!

Hello and welcome to the beautiful Daylesford region! We are Jill and Phil. We have relocated to the picturesque Ballan township from South Australia where we were active hosts for many years.
The property has enormous garden areas that constantly need clearing and tidying and we always have new projects in mind. I (Jill) cook for local cafes and do larger catering jobs and always need a hand in the kitchen. We grow veggies and have many pets - 3 goats, 2 alpacas, 3 sheep 7 chickens, 2 ducks, 4 ducklings and a cat who rules the house. A new Puppy will be due soon as we recently lost our mate Buddy after 18 years of love and tail wags. There will always be plenty to do - even just a lazy house sit from time to time as we do go back to Adelaide a lot. Ballan is well situated with transport in Western Victoria and there is a train directly to/from Melbourne which takes under an hour. Close by In either direction (within 25 minutes) you have the vibrant and historic Victorian towns of... more inside

Nestled against a hill, next to a state forest with a second to none view of the sea and surrounding farms, this isolated small farm, needs your support to grow a vegetable garden, pop up a chook shed and assist in the creation of a harmonious home environment. You will have you own room and there is also plenty of places to camp if you fancy putting up a tent.

From November 2018 we are looking for international volunteers who are interested in achieving the above. There is no public transport so having your own car is a plus but not necessary. If you have an interested in nature, native birds and animals then this place will surprise and delight you. The beaches and surf in this region are amazing as we are situated at the end of the Great Ocean Road, 40 kms south of Port Fairy. Looking forward to meeting you.

One large house with two very separate areas in Frankston, Victoria. The house is on a 1 acre block of bush garden. Three of us live here-me, Kate, an artist, a young friend, Madeline, a bar manager, and in a separate area, my 37 year old son, a tradesman. (his children live with him part time.)
We have a very relaxed, casual, bohemian style household.
We like music, films, art, great food, beaches and caring for the environment. We enjoy having other people visiting.
We sometimes foster rescue dogs to get them ready for their adoptive homes and really love doing this.
Frankston is a beachside suburb. It is located exactly between Melbourne and the Mornington peninsula. It's known as the gateway to the peninsula. From here a train to the centre of Melbourne is 50 minutes travel. From here you can easily travel over the Mornington Peninsula and many tourist attractions on buses. We also have a beach shack on beautiful Phillip Island which is a world famous tourist destination. It... more inside

*BOOKED UNTIL END OF FEB 2019

Visiting Melbourne?
Love music, kids, gardening, the arts and are looking for a base to discover Melbourne's amazing cultural life?
We are a family of 4 in a house in Melbourne's north (5 minutes walk from the tram into Fitzroy).

We've recently moved in and we need help getting our sh*t together. Help might include shovelling dirt in our garden, building a chook pen or cubby house, helping us feed and care for our 2 kids (8 + nearly 4), or just keeping the house nice and the vibes good.

We are looking for responsible, mature travelers to help out and share your unique cultural experiences, and we can offer a private room (with a piano, library and fireplace!), some meals as negotiated (access to the kitchen when our meals don't coincide), and good company.

We are a songwriter/ record producer and a community development professional, a soccer-mad 8 yr old and a nearly-4 yr old girl who thinks she runs the whole show (she might be right... more inside

This farmstay is currently occupied by a lovely HelpX helper. Will update when it becomes available again.

Come and enjoy a farmstay in South West Victoria. We have a variety of helper exchange opportunities from working with sheep & horses and general farm maintenance to domestic duties such as helping us get our house and garden back under control! Food and accommodation included. Language exchange encouraged.

We are a family of 4 in an old but comfortable farm house with air con and woodfire. Helper accomodation is a comfy bedroom in the family house with all amenities shared.
