Our Pearling Base, on the shores of Beagle Bay, is 135kms north of Broome (approx 2hrs on unsealed road in 4wd vehicle) on the Dampier Peninsula. Our dry season (April to October) is also ‘tourist season’ - it is popular to visit northern Australia in the winter months, as the weather is warm and the sun shines all winter.

In exchange for (on average) around 5 hours work per day (often you will work independently), you will be provided with a rare and remote place to stay for a while, healthy food - mostly freshly caught fish (catching the fish & cooking the fish are shared experiences), single or double room and shared bathroom facilities & possibly sightseeing, fishing and freediving opportunities by boat, or onshore, & in addition, you can use our fishing rods and try your luck.

All cooking, cleaning & other domestic duties are jobs shared by all. We've hosted happy helpers in the past, usually 4-6 people at a time, which provides for good social engagement, stories around ... more inside

We live in a beautiful part of the world between the beach and Margaret River town. We live on a farm with multi- generational families, we work towards a lot of self sufficiency and we work off the farm also. Our interests include music and wellbeing. The Margaret River community is vibrant and has many activities on offer. Our family welcomes cross-cultural experience.
We like our Helpxers to be happy; we offer clean, comfortable, private caravan accommodation. Tasks are dependent on helpxer skills, farm, family and home requirements (such as whipper snipping, painting, wood splitting, gardening, domestic tasks, artistic skills and painting). Having a car is necessary as there is no public transport. We ask for 7 hours work a week, which means that helpxers can get work off the farm, if you like.
Kind regards :) Sabine, Tony and Family

We are a busy working couple on a 27 acre property just out of Albany. We both run our own businesses and have two energetic boys aged 3 and 5. We have many fruit trees and horses along with chooks and a vegetable garden.

We are doing lots of work around the place to improve the property such as removing old fences, building improvements and new fencing. The fruit trees need pruning, cleaning up around them and watering. There is also small amounts of other gardening to be done. There may also be some odd painting jobs. If you are good at cleaning then the house could use a spring clean and if you like cooking then we would love to taste your food. Depending on your experience and skills we can find the right task that you enjoy and that helps us, you can also fit it in when it suits you.

We would like people who enjoy the outdoors and are able to work independently. We ask for 2 hours of help a day or 10 hours a week in exchange for accommodation. Minimum of 1 week stay so... more inside

We own and manage a permaculture farm and currently building a strawbale training room. It is a unique oasis in Midwestern Australia which has been established over the last 25 years. We educate people in sustainable dryland permaculture practices. We are also Willing workers on organic farm hosts and love to spend time and share with others interested in our work. We provide food and accommodation for work. Prefer a minimum of one week stays, around 36 hours work with 2 days off. We are 6km from the coast and 11km from Geraldton. We supply you with a bicycle while you are here. We like it if you can share house duties such as cooking or washing up.
We have lots of projects and maintenance always on the go with volunteers. Our work includes nursery work, animal husbandry (emus, chooks, ducks and geese) strawbale building (at the moment) and farm maintenance, gardening and food and seed processing, this varies with the season. Good fun work.
