Hello,

We offer a comfortable room and good food in exchange for the congenial company of reliable, cheerful dog-lovers who are willing to undertake a range of tasks such as gardening, cleaning etc

Our 2 daughters after time spent travelling (and Helpxing) are now at university (one of them in Japan) so our household usually consists of two people and a large dog (friendly, bouncy and always pleased to meet new people) I often have other dogs to stay too, so you need to be relaxed and happy around dogs.

We also have a pet rabbit.

We are situated in the countryside mid way between Cambridge and Newmarket, five minutes walk from the bus stop. The beautiful city of Cambridge is eight miles away and from there it is only an hour by train to London (50 minutes on a fast train)

We offer a room with large double bed/twin beds (can be made up either way depending on preference) and en suite toilet, shower and wash basin. Bedding and towels are provided. Wifi is av... more inside

I am a ranger on 2 coastal Nature Reserves in north Devon. I have 6 acres of fields, trees and orchards where I live and run a back to nature accommodation business; which I am developing to create abundant wildlife and opportunities to connect with nature.

I'm looking for a carpenter / timber framer at the moment.

I am a surfer and have boards available to borrow. I also have a double kayak for canoe trips on the sea, estuary and rivers.

Hello, my name is Tessa. I live in the beautiful countryside of East Devon, near Colyton, with my little dog Daisy (4 yrs old, a wire-haired dachshund cross collie so she likes ball games!) and occasionally grown-up children who enjoy travelling when not at University

I am looking for help with my eco-project - a Food and Forage Garden. Our aim is to grow plants and community naturally with soul and spirit. We envisage people and plants in harmony, developing creative spaces to nurture understanding, wisdom and knowledge of nature around us.

During the coming months we will be:

* Building a compost toilet
* Creating a drinking water system from collected rain water
* Planning and creating workshop space
* Planning and creating solar and wind power systems
* Clearing out the barn
* Maintaining current plantings

I like to use materials that come from the land (or locally) with the project. The Food and Forage Garden is on an elevated location, overlooking the sea to t... more inside

Looking for people from April 2019:
We have a large house and garden with lots of outbuildings so there are always jobs to keep everything under control, such as gardening, cleaning, building maintenance, fruit picking and cooking. We also run a campsite, have people who rent rooms from us long term and people who rent rooms for just a couple of days. So its fun here with lots of new people coming and going. You will not be asked to help with our business, but if you choose you can practice your English on our guests.

Hi all, I am looking for someone from September 1st 2019 only!

Help xer needed to assist with taking care of my twins, who are 1 year old (a help xer and I would do the childcare in close co-operation--very little sole responsibility involved!) The other main task I would like the helper to be responsible for while I look after the babies is cooking supper each night. There will also be 20mins or so of light housework and tidying to do each day. I look forward to hearing from you if u might be interested. It will also be possible to work with my horses if you like, doing grooming tasks, for example, or riding if the helpxer is an experienced rider.

Help-xers will help for around 4-5 hours each day, usually 6 days a week, depending on what is necessary at the time. The childcare is mostly done together. Sometimes the tasks in the house will be done with me, sometimes the work needs to be done independently. I can be flexible with the timetable sometimes according to helpxers ... more inside

UPDATE: I've just taken in a homeless work colleague so we aren't able to offer the room for this summer until she has sorted out her accommodation, sorry to all that had expressed an interest.

Our last helpX guests were wonderful primary school teachers with a lot of childcare experience so they looked after our children while we were working upstairs clearing out the loft. We will probably be looking for help over the the summer holidays, we may be able to offer a stay from 24/07 to 07/08 and 19/08 to 31/09 in exchange for spring cleaning and childcare. We will be offering 3 days work for a weeks stay or you can do one solid weeks work then have a second week off to explore London and the surrounding countryside.

We are 7 minutes walk to the train station that runs services into London every 10 mins. The train takes 40 mins to central London or 30 mins to London Bridge so great for people wanting to see the city. We are also half an hour away from Gatwick airport.

Set in the beautiful countryside just on the Welsh border. Close to areas of special scientific interest, meres, mosses and canals.
We farm in a mostly organic way, sheep, poultry, rescued horses.also rescued dogs. We would like help from people with abilities in construction, fencing or logging or those who wish to care for the animals.
Our gardens and hedgerows are left for the benefit of the many rare birds and insects.
Due to failing health we need help to continue our work. This is rural but not remote.There is limited bus service within one mile and trains three miles away.( The nearest town) We do provide bicycles and help to travel where possible.
The work is outdoors and mainly physical, so willingness to muck in and muck out in ALL weathers is essential!.. Together with an empathy for what we do. We welcome help from anywhere but please only people who have read and understand the basic profile. This is a very busy place and we don't have time to spend days messaging ... more inside

Hi, my name is Johnny and I would like to build a hostel in the center of York.
My big passions in life are travel and adventure. I've spent the last 8 years travelling the world, usually in the most dangerous ways possible and somehow I'm still alive to tell the tale!
Now I'm building a hostel to meet other travellers and continue to learn about this crazy world we live in.
York is a beautiful historic city and tourists come from all over the world to visit. If you come to stay then hopefully I can show you around a bit.
I'm looking for 2 volunteers who could help to build the hostel. You will get a free bed and free food. I ask for 5 hours per day / 5 days per week. I hope that's OK.
The help required will be demolition of the old house to start with, then to rebuild it with the new design. You must be physically fit and not afraid to get your hands dirty. We will have lots of fun and I'll show you around the city and take you to some pubs in the evening. Hopefully we wi... more inside
