We live in West Cornwall, in a rural setting, 4 miles from Lands End and 4 miles from the nearest surfing beach (Sennen).

We have 3 granite barns and 3/4 acre garden. We run a Wild Food Cookery School called Fat Hen from one of the barns here. See the website link.

We are located next to a dairy farm, 3 miles from the nearest village and 2 miles from the nearest bus stop.

We are down a 1/2 mile farm track in a very peaceful and beautiful landscape. 5 minutes walk down a beautiful old green lane from our house is the ancient stone circle of 'Boscawen-un'

We are a busy family with three young children (age 15,12 & 7)and a collie dog. Frank works as a doctor (G.P) and Caroline runs the cookery school. We are looking for help this summer for two weeks in July. 3rd-17th July 2019 ideally. We need help with painting and decorating and clearing out our house in preparation for letting it this summer. We are a busy family of 5, living the perfect life in Somerset close to Glastonbury (perfect except that we have too much to do). We have a large garden in need of lots of work. We are needing at least two people to help tidy and prepare the garden for spring, to help manage a woodland where all of the undergrowth needs clearing and do various other outdoor activities such as build a new shed. Meals will be provided and accommodation is in a room attached to our house but with a separate outside entrance.

PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME OF THE PHOTOS ARE UPSIDE DOWN AND THERE IS NO WAY TO CHANGE THIS. Even tried rotating the photos before uploading but always end up upside down whichever way they are uploaded??? Anyway hope you can mange by turning screen around. Photo of the farm in Wales is fine for some reason. It is the third photo and is not actually where you will be staying but it is possible to visit sometimes. The other photos are of the allotment and double room in Liverpool where you will be staying.

Double room available in cute three bedroom house. We have a large allotment near to the house where we grow organic vegetables. We also have a beautiful and historic mountain farm in the Snowdonia National Park which we visit occassionally now, it is a great place for a retreat to get away from everything and soak up the fresh air. We grow organic fruit for our own consumption but do not currently have any animals. We also have 23 acres of woodland to manage. It is not viable to... more inside

I have no Helpers during May 2019 and I really do need someone to come and give me a hand. This is a recent property that I have purchased. It was once a Naturist Camp site but is in need of a lot of renovation. Specifically Help is needed to repair damaged fencing around property. Will entail helping to lift wire in to place and fixing with staples using a hammer. This is a 2 person job and this is work that is in desperate need of doing to prevent rare breed sheep from escaping into local village. If anyone can spare even a few days to help this would be much appreciated.
I usually start no earlier than 9.30 am. and finish at 6.00pm but people do not have to work those hours with me.(I am open to discussion) We are about 2 miles from Rutland Water so plenty of activities going on there to enjoy ones self.

Helpers will be accommodated in a self contained House (not living with me but plenty of food is provided) which has downstairs and upstairs bedrooms, a kitchen, utility... more inside

Hello,

We offer a comfortable room and good food in exchange for the congenial company of reliable, cheerful dog-lovers who are willing to undertake a range of tasks such as gardening, cleaning etc

Our 2 daughters after time spent travelling (and Helpxing) are now at university (one of them in Japan) so our household usually consists of two people and a large dog (friendly, bouncy and always pleased to meet new people) I often have other dogs to stay too, so you need to be relaxed and happy around dogs.

We also have a pet rabbit.

We are situated in the countryside mid way between Cambridge and Newmarket, five minutes walk from the bus stop. The beautiful city of Cambridge is eight miles away and from there it is only an hour by train to London (50 minutes on a fast train)

We offer a room with large double bed/twin beds (can be made up either way depending on preference) and en suite toilet, shower and wash basin. Bedding and towels are provided. There is a... more inside

We are a family with three children aged 10, 4 and almost 2 year old. We live in a small cottage within an intentional community (with approx 40 other adults and children) based in a beautiful old estate with mansion house, gardens and woodlands.
Ollie is a school counsellor and mindfulness teacher and Annie is a medical herbalist and massage therapist. We home educate our children, however Lumi goes to a forest school 2 days a week.
We love living in community and enjoy gardening, singing, meditation and yoga. Life here is often busy and can be noisy and chaotic! However, we do have regular meals and bedtimes. We would love help with cleaning, childcare and a bit of gardening and odd jobs around the house. We enjoy meeting new people and sharing the beautiful land we live on. We are mostly vegetarian and enjoy cooking organic healthy wholefood meals using fresh vegetables from the garden.
There is no public transport to the local town, however it is abo... more inside

Help is required for a community-run project to create an interactive garden for children (two years & above), teenagers, young people & adults but primarily for small children. The Garden project is to be available alongside an Arts Council funded intergenerational ceramic course. At the core of this project is a unique firing method of the down draft stove pipe kiln, for the production of pottery wood-fired bowls with woven willow rims. The garden needs to be inspiring and safe. Ideas include under-two years old's area, firing & cooking places a buried treasure gifting & sharing adventure and chalk boards and white-boards for drawing. There is a live willow arch already established. The building of a small children's den/cave for traditional cave painting with a roof-feature for interactive play and creating. There will be a play-shed with a magic carpet space, mosaics & pebble paths as well as vegetable, flower and herb growing areas in raised beds. A unique and quirky garden which has been open in the national Garden Scheme for over 35 years. Mill Barn is a series of delights. Along the R Darwin, in Lancashire, through the tiny secret grotto, past the suspension bridge and view of the fairy-tale tower, visitors can a stroll past folly, sculptures, lily pond, and lawns, enjoy the naturally planted flowerbeds, then enter the secret garden and through it the pathways of the wooded hillside beyond.

Your hostess is, a retired social worker, whose husband, a retired lecturer, is the gardener and a member of the National Garden Scheme. The garden is open on two weekends in June 15,16,22,23 when 300 to 400 people visit. 6 volunteers attend on each day to support the four openings.

I would appreciate the help of an assistant event organiser for three weeks from June 4 to June 25th

The role involves, before the events getting to know how the household works including the kitchen, taking on some easy household duties, helpin... more inside

*****We are now accepting helpers for the 2019 season*****

Our farm started in May 2017. We grow vegetables, herbs and edible flowers for chefs and restaurants in Cambridge and London. Our produce is grown and harvested with attention to detail so that we can provide our customers with the freshest, highest quality produce possible. We grow some British staples, and experiment with some more exotic varieties, so you’ll have a chance to learn about a wide range of vegetables.

Our heavy horses Bill and Ben provide the power for all of our field work. The equipment used on the farm was imported from our Amish friends in Sugar Creek, Ohio. Although this might make us look like a historical farm these are in fact amazing pieces of engineering, and mean we can cultivate more land, more quickly, producing a wider range of delicious crops than would be possible by hand or tractor.

We're one of the few farms in the UK to use horses to work the land. We chose this approach... more inside
