Hi, we are Jane and Dave. We live in a small village in rural Lincolnshire in the East of England where we keep bees, chickens and pigs and grow fruit and vegetables in our large garden.
Weve travelled a lot ourselves, so its great to welcome people from around the world into our own home. We are now fully booked for 2018, except for the month of November, and we are interested in hearing from people who would like to stay in 2019.

This is a home stay, you live as part of the family, and it is really important for us to know that we will all get on well together. Part of living as a family also involves helping with ordinary household chores in addition to the `work` that you do - simple things like washing up, hanging out the laundry, helping with cooking - whatever needs to be done. It works best for us when people just slot in and take their share in anything that needs to be done. We`ll always make sure that you have enough free time to do whatever you want to do.

** We currently need help building a timber workshop. When finished we will have a good woodworking shop. **
We have a few chickens plus Eva dog and Eric the cat. We have a large garden with a vegetable plot. We enjoy life: working hard, meeting new people and cycling around the South West, especially if it involves a good Somerset pub... We need help with carpentry and building projects, gardening, dog-walking. We can consider long term stays after a trial period.

We are happy to help people learn English and suggest ways to discover our area. We can lend bikes for helpers to get around and explore the countryside. Our village is small and quiet and the area is very beautiful. Somerset is a county with many contrasts: hills, moors, coast and towns.

We are a Buddhist Meditation Centre in Sheffield located on a popular road opposite beautiful Endcliff Park and within walking distance of the city centre. No skills required just enthusiasm to work with a nice Buddhist team. If you are interested, while you are with us, you will be able to attend our meditation classes and courses for free in return for 25 hours per week. We also... more inside

Hi/Hello, I have recently broken my right wrist, I am right handed :(. I built my house last year and there are still lots of finishing off things to do such as painting, carpentry and gardening. It would also be especially helpful to have help from an organised person who is good at computer skills too. I am a practising artist, I paint in oil and I make sculptures too. Aside from help with finishing off my house,I would also like to find someone who is able to help me organise my business, someone who is able to help me diversify my skills. Reading, writing and speaking the English language will be a huge asset, as well as knowledge and use of an Apple Mac computer as I wish to be paper free. The right person will be good at computer skills and marketing and able to help me begin to put some effective systems in place in order to grow a successful business. The perfect person will help increase my revenue and receive commission bonuses accordingly.

**CURRENT VACANCIES. We have not had any helpers in 2018 but we're now looking for someone to join us in September to help us in the house and garden. We're ideally looking for a helper with some previous experience of gardening and/or carrying out repairs/maintenance jobs. However, the main requirement is plenty of energy and enthusiasm as our garden has become a bit overgrown this year. The work will be physically demanding as we have heavy clay soil and a lot of weeds but it will be rewarding and, we hope, enjoyable. We hope the weather will be good in September but it's never guaranteed in England so you will need to not mind working outdoors in all weather and to bring suitable waterproof clothing and footwear. NB you MUST be at least 20 and have at least some relevant experience of outdoor physical work.

We live in a beautiful rural hillside location in South Shropshire, we are a mile from the nearest lane yet only 7 miles from the lovely historic town of Ludlow. We have st... more inside

We have 8 acres of woodland with streams and river - good for walking, as is nearby Bodmin moor. We are about 30 minutes from the nearest seaside and 10 minutes from the nearest town, Callington. Our vegetable garden is raised beds on a sloping site, soft fruit area and orchard. We have a friendy cat, Maisie.

We live in an eco-house which we designed and did a lot of the work on. We generate our own electricity by a photo voltaic system and our water supply is from a woodland spring. Accommodation is comfortable - own double room. We are not vegetarian but are happy to cater for vegetarians.. We have good wireless internet access.

Help mostly needed in woodlands and garden - getting in wood, and maintaining paths, clearing brambles etc.

And in the summer, harvesting fruit, tending to the veg garden, etc

Our daughter and family are next door and also need help in their woodlands. So helpers can have more variety and young company. Jess is a botanical illustrato... more inside

Please read this carefully so that I`m able to offer you what you need. This is a lovely area to visit.
Please email initially.

We`re offering two options!
Firstly, we have a lovely Victorian rural cottage, in the middle of Kent, on top of a hill, which is in the process of being improved and decorated throughout. It has beautiful views, a large private garden, and everything you need to have a comfortable stay. There`s a sunny kitchen, a clean living room, new clean carpets, a large bathroom, and easy parking. We provide the food or a budget for you to choose what you want for yourself. The cottage is surrounded by classic English farmland, with many pretty footpaths, and traditional pubs within easy walking distance.
(It doesn`t have any more than basic furniture, or wifi (wifi can be accessed at many local places, and you can also come to our home for wifi which is a 30 minute drive)

In return for staying here we ask that you tend the garden. These gardening tasks includ... more inside

I am always looking for someone (or two) with basic landscaping skills, and basic carpentry skills. I enjoy having couples to stay, as they are a bit more independent. This summer I am looking for a couple (or singleton) to help me refurbish my daughter's new house - it is about 4 miles from where I live, but HelpXers would stay in my large and comfortable house. The jobs would involve interior redecoration, and gardening - and I would supervise and work alongside you.

I had a very positive experience four years ago with my first HelpXer who in 10 weeks transformed
my garden from a builder's site into a lovely lawned gadren.Since then I have had a regular stream of marvellous young people.

I am a good cook. You will have a room and bathroom to yourself in my comfortable house. I am quite social and will include you in the social network in the area.

My house is a few miles from the coast, nature reserve etc and these are a short bike ride away. Yoxford is a charming villa... more inside
