We are situated in France, in the heart of the North Vosges, between Wissembourg and Bitche, a few kilometres from Niederbronn-les-Bains, in the small village of Obersteinbach. In our vicinity there are fortified castle ruins, rock-climbing sites; walking trails; mountainbike circuits and so on. Our house is surrounded by all of this. And we have a heated pool where you can relax.

Maïlis and I (and our two cats, Mademoiselle and Gentleman) have always lived in this region, and after travelling and helpexchanging a great deal, we acquired a house on two hectares with a spring, a stream, a large pond and some woodlands.

Everything we plan is designed to renew Nature’s dominance here. We wish to restructure the area to enable amphibians, insects, birds, small mammals and all living creatures to recolonise the area. We’ve just planted 15 fruit trees. We are starting a vegetable garden. We need to restore the pond edges and wetlands. Consequently, there is a lot to do! Any ... more inside

Perrine, 55 years old, is a self-employed accountant and administrator.

Denis, 54 years old, gave up his career as collective kitchen fitter and repairer to renovate this former summer camp and turn it into a holiday resort which will also provide reception halls for rent.

We have been together for over twenty years and are rather good at DIY (we have already renovated a three floor house near Paris, where we used to live), but we need help to renovate this place, where we have been living for almost a year now, because it’s too big for just the two of us.

Located on the banks of the Aveyron river in Tarn and Garonne, about three kilometers from the village of Saint Antonin Noble Val (cittaslow labelled), our property is made of three separate buildings: an old mill, a very old building full of charm (approximately 600m2) and a more recent building (approximately 500m2). The land is about 18 acres wide and consists of garden, woodland and meadow. The area offer... more inside

Yves and I are working towards a place which will welcome people who love and respect nature, who are non smokers and who are ready to sincerely help out. We need to build accommodation, take care of the garden, the water system, renovation of the existing and building of new ecological structures.
The second shared eco-building site (chantier participatif) took place in June and July and we still need help this year to finish the eco-greenhouse, an octogonal wooden structure and bambou showers.
There will be accommodation in tents, a caravan and a little chalet and organic food.
We are looking forward to having you around. Please, before deciding to come, read and sign our charter on www.nazcats.com

We are a British couple who divide our time between the UK and our delightful home in Lower Normandy (Basse Normandie). We think the house (it`s really a fairly substantial cottage!) was originally built in 1837 as part of a farm, but it has been entirely reconstructed within the last few years - highly insulated, central heating etc. We are about 1 mile from the village proper and our nearest neighbours are fourteen or fifteen cows who munch their way through a next-door field. We are right in the middle of the Normandy battlegrounds of the Second World War and there`s a British Military Cemetary in the village. If you drive, it`s just under an hour to Bayeux, an hour and a half to Mont St Michel. Paris is a 2 1/2 hour train ride away from our local big town (Vire).

We are not taking enquiries at the moment, but in April 2019 we will need some help with the maintenance and development of the land and house. Diana wields a mean paintbrush and is Head Gardener, I (Kevin) am pr... more inside

Small English family in rural France, the Dordogne to be more precise.

**looking for helpers for an immediate start until 24th July ***

We are a happy household in a rural rustic location. To enjoy being here you need to like children and animals, be happy in company but also content with some time alone. There is a large garden, an old house, a lake, fencing, etc. We love to meet and share with the people who come here and can always do with help with the above (both projects and maintenance).

Local activities and sights range from walking, hiking, cycling, canoeing and swimming to prehistoric caves and medieval chateaux.

Our interests include horse whispering, cooking, positive psychology, photography, dancing, acting, arts and nature. We would love to learn a bit more about sustainability and apply some new things and sharing in general, learning and growing from interacting with others.

Open to hosting people for short or long periods.

Hello There, we are a 60 years old couple who is aout to move away to enjoy their retirement in another house !

We need help to move our furnitures, pack our stuff, and all the general activities needed to move from one house to another.

The house we are living in now and that you would be host in is situated near La Rochelle and also close to the "Marais Poitevin", Ré Island, Oléron Island, Vendée Beaches if you are into surf !

The house we are moving to is situated 150km away in the North of Vienne not too far from Anger and Tour and all the Loire Castles as well as the regional park of Loire-Anjou-Touraine, nice Wine Area.

We offer accomodation and food in exchange from your muscular arms ! Work time and free time are negociable as we would need you to come over the new house to unload furnitures and so on. But doing so, being host in two different areas !!

If you have your own car it`s great as you`ll be able to go around by yourself (we won`t ... more inside

We are an easy going English family (3 children, 16 and 18yrs at school in the UK and 19yrs living in the UK) who have recently purchased a large historic property near Agen. The house is habitable (with heating and bathrooms) but we will be reconstructing the interior to suit us.

Any assistance with general diy, landscaping, gardening, pruning fruit trees, clearing brambles and walking our crazy dog or specific trades such as roofing, tiling (a large swimming pool), plastering or plumbing would be gratefully received. The main job at the moment is getting the swimming pool (abandoned for 20 years) going for the summer.

A lot of the work we need help with is outside, clearing brambles, gardening, landscaping, rebuilding stone walls and keeping on top of the vegetable garden.

For 5

We offer you a bed, good company and delicious meals (we are not vegetarian and would find hosting a vegan very difficult). We have 2 comfortable double bedrooms and one twin... more inside
