Our farm is 40km outside of Ranong. You can get to us easily from Krabi, Phuket, Surat Thani and Bangkok by bus/VIP coach. Ranong also has an airport with daily flights from Bangkok operated by NokAir.

We would like to welcome volunteers to our permaculture farm. It is located in Northern Thailand on the outskirts of a Lawa village in the mountains near Thungchang. Its goal is to educate both the local people and foreign visitors about the methods and benefits of permaculture.

The project is in the early stages. The plans for the farm's design were drawn up in consultation with Sandot, a Thai permaculture instructor who lives nearby. The first volunteers onsite helped Tchome and his wife Anasi to build a compost. Volunteer huts, a kitchen and shower are also in the works. Some vegetables are already in the ground, but help is needed to put in many more plants and trees.

An opportunity to help with starting an eco-tourism operation on the Andaman Coast of Thailand.

We are a small village located on the edge of the Klong Nga Ka National Park on the border between Ranong and Pha-Nga provinces, Thailand.

Possible tasks include:

Repair and construction of bungalows and other buildings
Helping with planting and maintaining organic kitchen gardens and orchards
Helping villagers practice their English
Working in rubber plantations
Helping with village improvement projects, such as drainage, cleaning, weed removal, making signs, etc

Within three km of the village we have modern conveniences such as internet cafes, laundry services, pharmacies (drug stores), restaurants, a 7-11, and a market, yet in the village itself you can still hear the gibbons calling at night.

We are only a few minutes from the coast, so you can borrow transport and go to the beach any time you are not working.
