Ours is a peaceful natural place where we grow vegetables, fruit, lots of culinary and medicinal herbs. We have a polytunnel and chickens and bees, 2 dogs. There are water gardens here too. At the moment we are trying to develop the garden into something special and would love to get help with all the projects. Can happily be vegatarian during your stay. There is a wood burning stove in the volunteer accomodation so although it is old, it can be warm and cosy in this unpredictable climate. We would be delighted to have a few helping hands around.

We are a family living 3kms from a small village in a very rural location. We have two kids that still live with us aged 10 and 16 and two kids that have left home but visit occasionally. We are gradually establishing an organic garden, and also the land needs constant weeding, cutting, tidying etc. In autumn, we make country wines and need help picking berries. We play traditional music. I have a tefl qualification and I am prepared to negotiate English lessons as part of the deal. Its best to phone if you want a quick reply as I don't check emails every day.

Tory is an island three miles long and about a third of a mile wide. It lies about nine miles or so off the mainland, which makes it Irelandís most westerly island. Seen from the south, it looks in profile like a bather floating on his back, head to the east and feet bobbing in the west. During the biggest northerly gales, wave spray is carried clear over the island by wild winds.Tory it's stunningly beautiful. There is a lot to do from walking and relaxing to listening to traditional Irish music and relaxing, and maybe learning some Irish Gaelic as this is the first language most islanders speak. There are seals and dolphins and birds to be watched, there is wonderful cliffs to hike and atmosphere You can't find anywhere else.Helpers job will be mostly cleaning rooms and general housekeeping tasks. The accommodation we offer is a lovely old cottage in the village centre and You'll get money to buy Your food.We are pretty easy going and happy people and we'll be happy to host You and enj... more inside

We are into ecological self sufficiency farming producing most of what we eat and use ourselves.
We are actively preparing for Peak Oil and specialise in food producing survival skills. We think we may be some bit ahead of the times to come. Our lands are about 80 acres and we have some cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, bees and poultry. We do the main part of the farm work in the traditional way, as it used to be done through the ages. The accommodation is in a caravan near to the house.
Loads of hard and very diverse work possible, we are not really offering a job as much as an introduction to an alternative life style.
