General gardening and ground works needed on our property at beautiful Hahei Beach - probably about two weeks of work. This may lead on to work at our daughter and son-in-law's place- a half hectare organic lifestyle block on the northern side of Whitianga. Mainly gardening and releasing small trees required there. Again another week of work. Self contained accommodation provided. Thank you! :)

Are you a keen gardener? Arty? Creative?
You will be mainly gardening and mowing lawns but there's also lots of scrubbing and cleaning to mix it up. I need someone prepared to get stuck in to a variety of tasks - in return, you will have good (great, even!) vegetarian food, a warm bed, and a stunning location to hang out in. If you work in the cafe as part of my business you will be paid, so must have a valid work visa.
Please only email. I will not take a phone call from you unless I have already said you can come. This is my test to see how well you listen to directions...

i live on a beautiful property in the bush, where i hear the kiwi calling nearly every night. there is always work to do........these are the things i need help with:
- painting the house
- small handy man jobs
- fencing
- weed eating
- gardening
the ideal helper for me at the moment has building skills, as fixing the garden fence is first priority.

after work is done for the day, there is a beautiful beach 5 minutes by car away, as well as a fun local place to go and grab a beer.......or just relax in the hammock on the very peaceful property.

i am looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello! We are a semi-retired couple, living on a 13 hectares of land on the outskirts of Waihi, close to Waihi Beach and the Karangahake Gorge. Our property was recently a pine forest, and we are working hard to return it to native bush.

As a result there is plenty of work available for fit and healthy people. Consisting for example of wood splitting, shrub cutting, concreting, construction etc, and also occasional gardening and domestic chores.

We are looking for enthusiastic helpers who are not afraid of a little physical labour. No smoking or heavy drinking. You must be safety conscious and motivated. You will need your own transport to go sightseeing etc as there is no public transport available in Waihi.

In exchange for 4 hours of work per day, we provide private accommodation in a self-sufficient unit surrounded by native bush. This unit sleeps 1-2 people, in a double bed or two singles. In addition we will provide 3 meals per day, with breakfast being self-catered... more inside

I prefer a non smoker, someone who loves cats and baby animals. There could be orphans in boxes in the kitchen for reviving! It can get a bit messy.5 cats live with me on and off so don't come if you are allergic to cats.I like making sausages and my own salted and cured meats as well as my own cider and alcoholic ginger beer. Now I am experimenting with fermented food. I am German, have been living here since 30 years.Farm is 25 km away from Whitianga and Hot Water Beach, so own car would be advantage. It is pretty isolated here and I am not going to town that often, have a lot of DVDs for people to watch an... more inside

We have a lifestyle block in the Kauaeranga valley that requires some attention removing pest plants such as gorse and wolley nightshade and possibly some work in the vegetable garden. I'm thinking a couple of weeks maybe longer would be good but if you can only do a few days thats good as well, 3 to 4 hours a day but flexible if you want to do extra one day and have a day off the next thats ok. I will work alongside you so we can get these jobs cleared and still be smiling at the end :)

If this sounds like the sort of work you are willing able and happy to do we can provide good meals and comfortable spare room in our family home. We also have a sauna and spa pool you're welcome to use. We don't take life too seriously so a good sense of humour will help :D
We are located by the river great for swimming and close to many walking and bike tracks not far to the beach for that day off!

Must be good around animals we have dogs, cats, cows and sheep.
must be non smoker.

This is a 1.7 acre property in a secluded valley 5 minutes out of Thames. We have two small orchards, lawns and some flower gardens. The property is in a very peaceful and safe location. We need help with gardening, weeding, mowing lawns, cleaning and also, if the helper is skilled in this area, small painting and carpentry jobs.

We offer free accommodation and all meals in exchange for 3 hours work a day. Thames is situated at the base of the Coromandel peninsula. It is a vibrant and thriving small town close to beaches, bush, walks and a bike trail. We have some rather vintage bikes you can borrow, but there is also an electric bike hire business in town. We are also open to longer term stays with additional paid work if that works out.

We are an small orchard (apples, pears, feijoa, apricot, avocado and peach to name a few), many chickens and ducks, and a few sheep. The property has been rather neglected prior to us moving here and we are trying to make improvements so that trees and animals have a better future. We have two medium sized dogs who love to meet new people, and two cats.

We are very close to the Kopu-Paeroa Hauraki Cycle Trail. Nearby is the Matatoki Cheese Barn. On the fringe of the Coromandel Peninsula we are well situated as a base for people who want to do day trips both north around the Peninsula, East to Whangamata and South to Paeroa, Waihi, Katikati and Tauranga. It is just over an hour to Auckland, Hamilton or a bit further to Mount Maunganui.

If you have any experience with orchards, poultry or just happy to get your hands dirty we would love to hear from you. We prefer non-smoking. Social drinking ok.

In return we can offer you
