We have a large garden and some animals and a busy working life with an 10 year old son. I would love some help with jobs around the house and garden please. We live in a lovely spot with gorgeous views only 8 km from Wanaka. We eat well and have a great lifestyle - it's just a little bit too busy sometimes to get everything done so a helping hand from someone with initiative would be wonderful. Our son will also love learning about your homeland and language too.
Heading into spring I would love some keen gardeners and spring cleaners :)

Te Nohoaka o Tukiauau / Sinclair Wetlands is regarded as the largest and most important privately owned wetland in New Zealand!
Wetlands are now really rare, New Zealand has sadly destroyed more that 90% of these important eco-systems, they have been drained, filled and replaced with farmland and settlements. As people, we really need wetlands, they filter water, protect us from flooding and erosion. Wetlands host more wildlife than any other habitat type, 30% of our native freshwater fish, nearly a quarter of our native birds and over 450 native plants species live in wetlands! Wetlands are culturally very significant and were used by Maori as Mahinga Kai sites (gathering grounds)

In exchange for accommodation we require helpers for maintenance, up keep and enhancement of this wetland.
Sinclair Wetlands is managed by a non profit organisation (Charitable Trust - not a business) therefore we are unable to provide food, transport or any luxuries like wi-fi etc. (However, we ca... more inside

We live in a 100 year old farmhouse on 22 acres which we enjoy sharing and with too much to do for us to get to it all.

There's Indy the dog, Delphi the budgie, Chester the miniature horse, the goats Gracie and Billy the Kid as well as as some weed-control goats, a dozen or so beef cattle to get to know besides your hosts - Hyram, Adrienne and Amélie.

We have a single bedroom as well as a lovely double bedroom for couples or friends willing to share a room so we can host up to three helpers in various combinations.

Work will involve whatever needs to be done - garden work (often lots of weeding!), house work, farm work, building and vehicle maintenance, housework, cooking, etc. If you have some special skills and experience we'll try to put them to use, if you don't, there will still be ways to help out.

We would like a good four hours of work per day on average in exchange for board. We are happy for you to "time bank" if we can arrange it so you can a whole day off.

Hi we are a family of five. We have three children aged 13-18 and two friendly dogs and an elderly cat. We live on an acre in beautiful Hawea Flat and need helpers with the land, so mostly vegetable gardening, weeding, pruning, landscaping etc.. At the moment with spring here we are needing help in the gardens - vegetable gardens, and native/flower gardens, getting them ready for summer. Most of the work is outside but if the weather is not so nice there is always help need with some inside spring cleaning jobs!
We have a small and very cosy sleepout for your accommodation and use our bathroom and kitchen inside. We ask for 4 hours work a day and we will provide your accommodation and 3 meals. We also ask that you participate in the daily running of the household.. dishes etc.. :)
Hawea Flat is about a 15/20 minute drive from Wanaka, so having your own car is great! It takes 10 min to drive to lake Hawea where the closest shop/cafe is and a beautiful big lake for swimming (... more inside

Small farm running sheep, beef and dairy goats. We also have donkeys, chickens, dogs and cats. Located on the stunning Otago Peninsula but only 15 minutes drive from down town Dunedin. Close to penguins, albatross, Larnach Castle, Smaills Beach.

Weekend of October 19/20 - Want to help with tailing and drenching? Most likely will happen on the Sunday, even if you just want to come for the day! We will feed you/shower available if you just want to come and do this!

We would be looking for people keen to help with fencing, milking (Oct-Jan), hay making (Jan-March) and helping set up and establish veggie garden and orchard. We also make cheese (Oct-Jan) and soap.
Not vegetarian, no smoking inside and must be ok with inside dogs. We also have inside jobs like painting.
Unlimited Wi-fi, own transport a must (although we have bikes available). You would have your own room but shared bathroom.

I have a very old house which has been undergoing major renovations. I need help with a bit of finishing here and there (indoor paint stripping /painting), and I also have a large garden which needs work and landscaping. The garden is a current priority!
Includes a very cute dog called Tiki who loves company and walks. I am also a Rudolf Steiner Kindergarten teacher.
If you are able to help with any of the above, drop me a line.

We are looking for help with gardening and general property maintenance work, including weeding, housework/cleaning, chopping and stacking firewood etc.

It would also be useful (but not necessary )if you have building or carpentry experience, or experience building rock walls.

We ask our helpers to work for 4 hours per day, and the accommodation is a bedroom in our house.

We are very close to the network of walking/biking trails in the district, and not far from the Arrow River and Lake Hayes if you want a swim on a hot day. We are about 7km from Arrowtown and about 20km from Queenstown and not far from all the fun tourist activities the area has to offer.

We are not on a bus route so having your own vehicle would be an advantage.

I am a Professional Artist/Educator (Photographic Medium), also Gay. I am not vegetarian. I live in small scenic rural settlement and need property maintenance help (mostly: landscaping & gardening. etc.) from time to time. Current Help (Oct 2019): Create a new vegetable garden, landscaping, fencing jobs, (IT website work - maybe an option). Please make sure your own profile is current and up-to-date, and be courteous. I normally host for a week (please ask/confirm in advance) but it could be longer. My location is easy access to the Catlins District (see photos). Free WiFi. Quiet rural settlement on SHWY 1. Please Note: It is easiest if you have your own transport/vehicle, although not entirely necessary, as Intercity buses do drop-off & collect here. I also have outdoor power and drain, suitable for camper vans, with a dumpsite nearby. Great swimming and walking around the Catlins District, sea/river, fishing. Lots of Natural Wildlife in District, by sea and rivers. You DO need to... more inside
