Hi! I need help with painting, lawn mowing, gardening, washing windows, cleaning, etc.

Oamaru is a great place for tourists to visit - penguins, steampunk, etc.

I am living in an historic building in the historic part of town, a few minutes walk from the centre of town, shops, cafes, the waterfront and the steampunk museum.

You could do 4 hours work per day in exchange for accommodation, meals and wifi.

Short stays are fine.

We won't be taking on HelpXers over December and early January, but please contact us from mid January!

Small farm running sheep, beef and dairy goats. We also have donkeys, chickens, dogs and cats. Located on the stunning Otago Peninsula but only 15 minutes drive from down town Dunedin. Close to penguins, albatross, Larnach Castle, Smaills Beach.

We would be looking for people keen to help with fencing, milking (Oct-Jan), hay making (Jan-March) and helping set up and establish veggie garden and orchard. We also make cheese (Oct-Jan) and soap.
Not vegetarian, no smoking inside and must be ok with inside dogs. We also have inside jobs like painting.
Unlimited Wi-fi, own transport a must (although we have bikes available). You would have your own room but shared bathroom.

Our house is in Macandrew Bay, a 10-15 minute drive from central Dunedin and right near a bus that comes/leaves from town every hour. We're right near the harbour, which is beautiful for evening and morning walks with a small swimming beach too. There's a small shop at the end of our street.

Our family is myself, my partner Ryan and our 2 1/2 year old boy. We need a bit of help around the house and garden - shifting firewood, cleaning cobwebs and the outside of the house, cleaning windows, weeding garden and pavers etc

Our house is very small, just two bedrooms for our family, but it's old and beautiful and we love it :) However, this means that we are ideally looking for a couple travelling together who are happy to park up their campervan on our property and still sleep in there. Meals, showers, internet etc is still provided of course. Would expect you to stay 3-5 days. We also need this stay to be before 16/12/2019.

Hope to hear from you soon!

I am looking for help establishing a garden, fairly physical work that I struggle to do on my own. Someone with some carpentry skills would be really helpful as I need to build raised beds. There is also some indoor work painting. I can offer a single bed and a fold out bed in your own room, and meals, in return for 4 - 5 hours work a day. Kaitangata is on the edge of the Catlins with the Clutha river on the doorstep. There are plenty of places to visit within an hour’s drive - including Dunedin.

A new season is luring around the corner and we are getting ready for it! Will YOU come and join us? Homegrown Glenorchy (Facebook) as we know of does not exist anymore…unfortunately we had to leave the old garden grounds but are excited to have found a new plot to play big. Let’s start again on a 2h hillside to create Permaculture goodness and self sustainable gardens but this time for good! Would you be interested in joining the Team in season 2019-2020?
Breaking in new land means a lot of work, the past garden has taken us 8-10 years in the making…meaning, with being on the front line of this new project, we need you to be fit and firm in walking, lifting and shifting…we on a hill side now and going up and down is a daily task. Unfortunately, all accommodation will be held in tents this season, new huts and shelters have first to be re-created. Therefore, it would be good if you flexible and okay with spending lots of time outdoors!
Most groundbreaking work at the start of a... more inside

Hi, We run a family owned sheep and beef farm on the outskirts of Kurow township in the Waitaki Valley. We would love some help for two weeks from the 12th January 2020 until the 26th. Work would involve house sitting and looking after 2 friendly dogs, a cat, four calves, a horse and 10 chickens. We adjoin the Waitaki River and the Alps to Ocean cycle-way. We can offer self- contained accommodation (the cottage beside the main house in the photo) which can sleep 2 people. It is insulated with shower and toilet.
