We live in a beautiful old weatherboard house 25 minutes from the city and close to a cafe strip where there are interesting cafés, bookshops and restaurants. A bus goes to the city from the end of the street or it is a 20 min walk to the train.

The work is 4 hours per day for each person. The work is not difficult. Gardening, cleaning, oiling the veranda and deck and most importantly walking Willow the dog.

There is one spare room with a double bunk bed, with new pillows, sheets, blankets and towels.

If you have a van that you are happy to sleep in we have room for you to park it in a nice quiet spot at the back of the house that also has a power supply.

Please tell us -

* if you have any gardening, handy or trade skills
* if you are ok to work independently when we are not around
* if you will do 4 hours of work with a smile
* if you love cooking; we will supply all food, and you can cook for us

**Help required from now until Christmas. Stay on for a family Christmas.**

We are a friendly farming family located in the perfect position if you're en route to Albany, Denmark, Walpole and Margaret River.
Our farming operation is a busy one with many thousands of Merino sheep, and a cropping operation growing barley, oats and canola.
We are keen for help around the homestead. This includes gardening and some cooking, minor repair jobs like painting, and shed clean ups.
Our 3 sheep dogs are friendly and enjoy our verandah chats over an evening drink. Pet chooks keep us well supplied with eggs, and the vege patch is a work in progress.
We look for 4 hours a day in exchange for all meals and accommodation (our home). The internet is available and full mobile coverage is at the homestead. There is a pool and tennis court that can be enjoyed at your leisure, and good push bikes to explore on.
Public transport is available from Perth. Albany is about 1.5 hours drive away.

Would you like to come and help us create a permaculture haven on our new farm? Our 46 hectare farm is in a wonderful location, between Pemberton and Northcliffe, surrounded by beautiful karri trees and with the munda biddi biking trail going past the door and only a few hundred metres from the Bibbulman walking track. We have an accommodation business with 4 cottages, as well as 2 netted orchards, vegie gardens, an aquaculture development with several dams and marron( local freshwater crayfish) ponds, 12 cows, 6 sheep, 9 hens and our gorgeous little dog, Bunny. We have been helpX helpers in France a couple of years ago, helping to build a strawbale house, so we have been in your shoes and know that you want to have interesting experiences. There are many projects and we are constantly experimenting to find the best solutions, following permaculture principles. We also want to give our guests a great experience, so we are upgrading the cottages and you can learn a lot about woodwork... more inside

We are a family of 5 looking to host one or two people. We have 3 children (age 5, 7, 10) and a dog, so it's a good idea if you like/tolerate kids and dogs.

We live about 4km from the town of Denmark on a farm of 125 acres. Although close to town, the ride/walk is not for the faint hearted. Your own transport would be helpful, but not essential.

The range of work available is diverse and depends on the skills you have to offer. There are things to do around our house, in the garden or on the farm.

We offer accommodation in our caravan with a shared bathroom in the house. We provide you with food to prepare your own breakfast and lunch. Evening meals are enjoyed together.

We ask for 4 hours work per day in exchange for meals and accommodation. Happy for you to work extra hours one day and take a day off. Non smokers please.

We have two properties that might be available. One is in Safety Bay near Penguin Island and the other is in Fremantle. Feel free to enquire as to which might be available.
With both properties, we do not provide meals but they have shopping nearby. It's a good idea to bring some basics foods if you arrive at night.
The property in Fremantle is a lovely cottage. It is located within walking distance of Fremantle centre near markets, grocery stores and public transport (bus at front door!) as well as a local coffee strip. It's a fully self-contained cottage with kitchen and bathroom. There's a separate bedroom upstairs and another bed downstairs. It may be that you might share with another helpers (couples get priority in upstairs bedroom). The helping exchange arrangement would be about 10 hours a week helping with repairs, landscaping and painting etc. It is on Wray Avenue, if you want to check location
The other option is near Penguin island. Here you'd have your own privacy d... more inside

My 3 small children and i live on this beautiful block 2km from the beach and 7km from town. We grow vegetables and have many fruit trees as well as ducks and chickens.
There is also a healthy area of bush that makes a great camping ground. The property backs onto national park and reserve,Mt Hallowell and Monkey Rock.
Most work around the place is in tending to the garden, fruit trees and grass control. You would need to enjoy kids and there may be some child minding involved too if appropriate. Other jobs to choose from based on interest and skills include gardening, chain sawing, painting and handywork.
We are really keen on our children meeting people from all over the world and being exposed to different cultures and ways.
We have a caravan set up for our helpers so you have your own space.

Hi i'm Dom. Born and raised in Perth. I have a 5 year old son that stays on some nights.

I can accommodate a single person.

I am living in a small unit opposite the beach in Rockingham, Western Australia very close to Penguin island.

The unit is close to public transport (bus) to the train station.

I am vegetarian but have no problem if you want to cook meat.

I'm easy going and laugh a lot and enjoy cultural exchange.

I prefer helpers who are quite social and keen to have chat even if they have limited english. And really enjoy good conversation especially around the dinner table.

I am self employed and also have a government job. I distribute plumbing supplies online and also do shift work as a fireman.

I have no pets. Just a ton of pot plants..

My house is non-smoking completely inside and outside so non-smokers only please.

I'm a very easy going guy and make dinner at home when i'm not at work on nightshift. I would want my visitors to join me ... more inside

HELP! We are looking for a couple to join us for a week to 10 days in mid December, 2018. Depending on the weather, we'll be doing some gardening, restocking the wood pile and some general maintenance and 'spring cleaning' in the Cottages!

We are situated in Balingup, 240km south of Perth, set in the beautiful Blackwood River Valley.

Our 46 acre property includes 25 acres of Jarrah and Marri hilltop forest. It overlooks the beautiful little village of Balingup, and the valley of fruit orchards with their changing seasonal colours. Here you can enjoy being close to nature with an abundance of birds and wildlife.

HelpX volunteers are welcomed warmly. Depending on availability you will be accommodated with the host family in the stone farmhouse OR in one of our self contained Cottages.

The daily work routine will be tailored to fit your skills, interests and the season. It is also dependent on our other work commitments. Projects might include gardening, wood collection, ... more inside
