Hi Everyone,

Having spent time volunteering and working in Europe several years ago, I set up a small language academy in Leeds for adults who are studying English.

We`re now looking for volunteers in the summer months of July and August.

We`re looking for friendly people who are native English speakers, and who would be interested in staying in our flats with the students helping them practise their English. This could be speaking English with them socially and at meal times, assisting them in their volunteer work, or taking them out on trips to nearby places of interest. If you`re interested in seeing the area, it`s a great way to do it as we pay for your expenses.

In general, you will be completely free in the mornings, and then you will do a 5 hour shift either in the afternoon (2-7pm) or the evening (6:30-11:30pm).

You won`t be expected to teach any English lessons, however if you are TEFL qualified this is a definite plus for us, so please let us know.

Mainly horse work, cleaning and exercising available, but must not be frightened of animals, preferably a rider. We also have some maintenance work needed, for someone who can do fencing, joinery work, and painting doors etc.
If someone can do basic engineering work that would be fantastic, but not absolutely necessary.
This is a beautiful part of the UK to visit or live. One Kiwi stayed for 16 years and went home with a wife and two children, as did an Aussie
We need someone now.

Looking for a competent, experienced builder (joinery skills essential and plumbing/central heating installation and basic electrical work would be a great bonus). I would not expect you to work free of charge, and would like to negotiate fair payment for skilled work/expertese.
We have a large 1920s house in need of updating/adapting (but it isn't a restoration project) and need someone who can do some, or all, of the following: hanging doors, making and fitting a small staircase, constructiing new door openings/frames, fitting internal insulation boards, bathroom refurbishment, tiling, fitting new/aditional radiators, fitting new gutters, chimney pointing/capping, fitting of velux windows. The house is in a pleasant residential area of New Brighton, by the River Mersey/Irish Sea and 1 minute from the train station. The beach, and a range of leisure facilities (parks, cafes, rstaurants, cinema, theatre, bowling alley, bars etc. ) are minutes away on foot. There are wonderful views... more inside

Bed and Breakfast in a small traditional English market town in Kent with 5 letting rooms and large garden 1 hour from London 15 minutes to the coast. You would assist with serving breakfasts and housekeeping in the morning and do some maintainance on quiet days with few guests.
You would stay in a large attic bedroom with private bathroom. All meals and wifi provided and informal English lessons can be given.
I am looking for a single male helper who can work in the garden and also do some painting in the house.
I am looking for a helper for May and one for September. Helpers should be able to stay for at least one month. I will interview possible helpers by skype.
Any questions? please mail me

We have nearly finished building a timber workshop and will soon have a good woodworking shop. Our next focus will be the Showman's Wagon. We are moving our home towards being off-grid: digging the well and getting a pump working, increasing solar hot water capacity and installing photo-voltaic panels.
We have a few chickens plus Eva dog and Eric the cat. We have a large garden with a vegetable plot. We enjoy life: working hard, meeting new people and cycling around the South West, especially if it involves a good Somerset pub... We need help with carpentry and building projects, gardening, dog-walking. We can consider long term stays after a trial period.

We are happy to help people learn English and suggest ways to discover our area. We can lend bikes for helpers to get around and explore the countryside. Our village is small and quiet and the area is very beautiful. Somerset is a county with many contrasts: hills, moors, coast and towns.

SPACE FOR A STAY FOR AN ENGLISH SPEAKING PERSON FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD ASAP PLEASE! to help construct a shed, some outdoor painting and feeding wonderful friendly adorable wild boar pet pigs and three gorgeous dogs, o and a racehorse! nearly forgot!.

I run a small bed and breakfast here on the North Norfolk coastline, being located just half a mile from a sandy beach that you can walk to easily. I have a bike you can use but of course your own car would be a bonus to you.
I don't have children to contend with so am not looking for a built in baby sitter!
Very quiet and laid back here with lots of wildlife and natural stuff... no night clubs so you must be happy to accept that fact although there are two local pubs within walking distance and I have a tendency to enjoy a bottle of vodka on occasions or two.

TASKS ARE ONLY SUITABLE FOR A MALE APPLICANT AS YOU NEED MUSCLES ON OCCASIONS!

At the moment I have a space available for a HelpXer from May 2019 - for reasons I am happy to explain when we make contact, I am looking for a female HelpXer to help between May and end of August, especially during the first half of June.

I am usually looking for somebody with at least some previous experience of gardening, as I need some help with an organic growing area that is not a farm, but allotment land, distributed over 2 sites with very different soil in West Oxford. I have been growing a mixture of vegetables, soft fruit and fruit trees for 28 years. I will also need some help with the back garden at our home which hasn't had much attention over the winter and needs clearing and preparing for the spring. Inside the house there is some clearing and cleaning to do as well as some painting.

Over the last years I have had great help from several HelpXers, who have done a lot of digging and weeding, so nowadays there is not a lot of heavy digging to do. Tasks include ma... more inside

I have just recently moved back from France and now live on the edge of Dartmoor - the moor is outside my front door. I am 10 miles from Plymouth and near to some of the most beautiful beaches in the country.
I have been working on renovating the house and now the better weather is coming I need to think about the garden.
I need a raised deck building in my sloping garden and some french doors fitted as well as general gardening.
Please contact me if you think you could help me. I think it would take about 2 weeks. You would need to have some carpentry skills.
