Hi,
I live in a modern bungalow, high on the Knockmealdown mountains, called "THE VEE", a very scenic area,covered in wild rhododendrons which flower May/ June. I have quite a lot of land and a large selection of animals. 2 horses, 1 donkey, 12 dogs of which 3 are young and undergoing training, 5 cats and chickens, ducks and a few guinepigs, 7 large pet lambswhich have had 4 lambs and still 2 to give birth.

I have two children who live and work in manchester. they visit when they can. My mother stays here permanently and is a great baker of scones and pies though she has just had full knee replacemnot at aged 91.

I am not organic as only been here 3 years , I do 1/2 and 1/2, where I can. I try to keep things economic friendly and am aware of my carbon footprints.

I have a number of small ongoing projects which I need help with in preparation for summer visitors. Last year we built a log cabin so this year I am looking to build a toilet and shower. I also need help re... more inside

We converted a 200 year old coach house into our home. It is set in a wooded valley by the sea, 12km from Kinsale and about 25km from Cork, in Southern Ireland. Help always needed with general maintenance, stone work, carpentry, painting, woodland management, vegetable patch and garden or whatever project is going on. We have 2 grown up kids, two dogs, one cat. Sara is a ceramicist and Gidi sells his Middle Eastern food in three local farmers' markets and at festivals. We both work from home. We can offer a nice big room ensuite with wifi and good food. As we have a small house we usually offer short term stays (c.2 weeks).
At present we have a lot of trees down after Ophelia and could gladly do with some help clearing, cutting, tidying...
so do get in touch if that sort of outdoor work appeals, thanks

We're looking for helpers from 5th May for 2 weeks. Weather permitting,there's some painting to be done. Once that's finished, we need some help on the farm. We've already one helper organised, but need one or two more.

We own a sheep and horse farm in the north-west of Ireland, in County Sligo. We also have two alpacas, two pigs, two dogs and some chickens! During the summer months, we provide English language holidays for teenagers, so are very happy to also help you with your English.

We are looking for help in return for food and accommodation. Helpers will have their own bedroom in our house. Unlimited WiFi access.

Work varies, depending on the skills of the helper. Examples include feeding the animals, cleaning the sheds, fencing, farm repairs.

April 2019 update: we are currently seeking someone who can help during the month of May (only). Please be patient if there's a delay in replying, we are expecting a new baby any day now!

===================

We are a small family of a violin maker father (Bertrand), arts manager mum (Nicki), and two little girls of 2 and 4. We are a laidback and open-minded household with plenty of space and a nice little garden, 10 minutes walk from the heart Cork, Ireland`s greatest city, where there is a particularly strong music and food culture.

We are mostly looking for help with the day-to-day life of cooking (we love good food!), tidying and cleaning and minding the children.

We have ticked off most of the items on our house maintenance to-do list thanks to a previous amazing HelpXer, but someone who is skilled with carpentry to make some shelves and other carpentry projects could be great - maybe they would even get to help work on an instrument if they are interested!

We cou... more inside
