I own a 300 year old house in a remote area in Nara prefecture. This house used to be the residence of a Daimyo here in Japan. Many generations already lived in this place and I would love to share this experience with other people.

I also own a little cafe/restaurant in an area that the local government is trying to revive. At my place, you can experience the life in the countryside of Japan. If you want to learn about Japanese history and experience a part of it, you will love this.

I live in the country side of Japan which is near Mt.fuji and you can see Mt.fuji from my place. It is very peaceful and beautiful. I have a small organic farm nearby. I am a Mayanuts fair trade activist and part of my work involves selling Mayanuts imported from Guatemala to Japanese people. Please check out my website. I have only a few helpers, so it will be really useful if more people can come and help me. I can host you from March to November, especially between May and September (This is my busiest period). I have a single traditional Japanese room with futon and I also have a cat. I offer vegetarian meals (sometimes with fish). No alcohol and cigarettes are allowed. Working hours range from 5 to 7 hours daily. There are various jobs available here ranging from packing Mayanuts to farm work depending on what is needed during your stay.
