A modern house with a garden. I'm a Herbalist and I grow some medicinal and culinary plants. I need a little help in the garden but I mainly need help in the house at the moment. Painting and decorating and some cleaning.
You will have your own room but this is one of the rooms that needs decorating so it will be fairly basic until that's finished.

Peaceful smallholding in beautiful area of Hampshire.
There are endless outdoor and indoor maintainance jobs to do, and the more practical skills you have, the more welcome you are. Hopefully you will be able to work mostly on your own without constant supervision.
A very comfortable, and newly decorated single bed-sitting room is available, with adjacent bathroom, and all the usual facilities, including wi-fi. Life is fairly quiet here, (though busy,) so will not suit you if you're looking for a hectic social scene! There are nice village pubs within walking distance though, and I often have friends in.
As a retired music teacher, I am active in the local traditional music scene, and play several instruments.Insurance essential and photo appreciated.
I can only accept helpex-ers who are able to supply references from previous hosts, or employers.

I live in converted stables with my two children. We are surrounded by farmland in the North Yorkshire moors National Park. The place is remote, uniquely beautiful with fantastic views to the sea, Scarborough Castle, walks, bike rides, etc.

I have recently set up for an organic vegetable and herb garden and need help maintaining. I also need help in the garden and outdoor building maintenance work is needed. Roofing expertise would be most welcome!

I like to host, entertain and cook. The four hrs a day of work are in the morning, and should give plenty of time for folk to enjoy the surroundings.

At the moment, because it's summer, I prioritise hosting campers, although if you happen to be a roofer, you'll get the 5 star room!

A family house with veg and flower garden and woodland in rural Aberdeenshire. We have three teen-aged children, two cats and a peacock. Five hours of help in the garden, house and the woodland are expected. Weeding, planting, grass cutting, strimming, logging and tree thinning as well as help at mealtimes and some domestic chores when the weather is bad.In exchange we offer own room, access to internet, computer and TV. We encourage guests to participate fully in family life. We love sports, have bikes and kayaks. Hillwalking is on the doorstep, the train station of Insch 3 miles away. We have recently taken over as 4th generation at our Dell. The Dell is a beautiful Georgian house with adjoining holiday cottages, set within peaceful, secluded grounds on the edge of the Abernethy Forest.
We are a young family with our son Harris aged 2 and another due in September.
The Dell began in the 70's and is now into a period of restoration, maintenance, gardening, and landscaping alongside hosting our holiday guests and events.
We are looking for practical minded, experienced and energetic individuals to help us with this exciting project.
Skills in plumbing, electrics, joinery, painting and gardening would be a bonus. Cleaning of the cottages will be a major part of the role, particularly during the busy season we can be changing over cottages each day.
Accommodation is in a three bedroom, semi detached bungalow in the gardens and we are 1 mile from Nethy Bridge, a sleepy, friendly village, on the edge of the Abernethy Forest.
There are great opportunities for wa... more inside

It would be working with timber, stone and slate and covering all aspects of building. The task in hand, would need some-one to be strong,as it is hard physical work.We would love some-one with building experience. The accommodation offered, can be seen on our web-site,it is our B&B double room. Please do drop us a line if you are interested. I would like to stress, that this is hard physical work and if you do not like hard work, then this is not for you. Thanks for looking.
