Life style block used mainly for horses, but we also have sheep, and chickens. We are located in Waimauku near Muriwai beach 30 minutes outside of Auckland, and 10 minutes from Muriwai Beach. A vehicle is helpful as a walk from here to anything other than a bush walk is a ways. We prefer two people who travel together. A couple (male and female) is perfect. Our helpers have a private fully equipped sleep out in our traditional “Kiwi Round Barn”. There is a loft with a queen sized bed, bathroom with shower and toilet, and a kitchenette with cooking equipment and a fridge. There are also a couple of couches and entertainment items. It is quite clean and cozy.
We provide food for your stay which is purchased to meet with your eating tastes and cooking styles.
For the room and facilities we expect our helpers to put in a five hour day doing various chores typical to a farm stay. Having said that; for those who would prefer to work less hours and play longer a day: buy your own food a... more inside

We have a small lifestyle block which needs constant attention although four sheep and two goats really help. Nice front lawn which ride on mower takes care of. Organic plum and apple tree. Seasonal vegetables grown. Someone who can use a tree trimmer; weedeater; spade work and general gardening would be really helpful. Planting new shrubs and able to dig around garden to keep it looking tidy, would also be helpful. Some spraying of edges needed from time to time.

My husband and I are raising two beautiful daughters in our home- a big comfortable house in the Auckland suburb of Beach Haven. As my husband returns to work, I need a bit of help to take care of our oldest daughter, Mila. Mila is a fantastic little respectful, and playful girl that is requiring a bit more attention and care while I spend more time with our newborn

The activities include:
> Babysitting
> Preparing food for Mila

We are looking for an international girl that wants to be part of our family for a good few weeks. We hope to find someone with a good work ethic, sense of humour and love for children. We also have a garden and could use help in renovation projects around the house.

Time frame is negotiable with a minimum of 3 weeks

We will provide accommodation in a double room with private bathroom, and all meals included at our usual eating schedule. The use of the kitchen for private meals is not allowed.
We live in the Beach Haven, 10mins walk from the ... more inside

We are two gay friends who breed alpacas on a 17-acre lifestyle block in Kumeu, 30 minutes drive NW from central Auckland. We warmly welcome visitors who will share their culture and life experiences, and who bring a sense of humour - a necessary part of your survival kit here!

If you don’t discriminate and don't smoke you can enjoy a cozy bed and good food in a smoke-free home, along with Mindy the cat and Tango, a golden Labrador. If you are keen to learn all you can about alpacas and how we care for them, you may learn new skills, understand how the fleece of these unique and fascinating animals becomes chemical-free natural yarn, and how we live by green principles.

We offer our visitors food and accommodation in our warm and comfortable 35-year... more inside

Macadamia growing and processing. Nut harvesting and dehusking finished for this season, other farm work which is generally relatively light still going on. Garden is always in need of attention. Gutters need cleaning! Restoration of a 1936 Alvis car with wooden framed body with steel skin, making slow progress. As well as 400 mature Macadamia trees there are three adult kunekune pigs, and two talkative young piglets, three sheep and some clucky Bantam hens. 4 hours help per day, very relaxed atmosphere. we prefer people who have at least 5 years life experience since leaving school. Our guide dog Yasmin has now graduated and is assisting a blind person and we are very proud of her. We are retired health professionals and enjoy lots of good conversation at the dinner table! Bombay and Pukekohe within walking distance for energetic walkers, otherwise, own transport is an advantage, easy access to Auckland exists via trains from Pukekohe.

We live on a semi rural farming property of 52ha overlooking the Waitemata harbour with views of Waiheke, Rangitoto and the skytower, 30 mins south east of Auckland. We have horses, sheep and also keep bees. You can help us with gardening, landscaping, painting, building bee apiaries, planting natives (Autumn) and general housework and maintenance. We are an active outdoor family and enjoy fishing, boating, amongst other activities. We have 3 adult children, none who live permanently at home. As a family we all enjoy meeting people from different cultures and forging connections with them and now have lifetime friends around the world.

Hi :)

We are Emma & Mike and we live in Whitford an affluent suburb on the eastern outskirts of Auckland. There are many things to do and explore in the area including the local winery, pub, beaches, farmers market, walks, shooting range, horse riding tennis club, golf course etc etc as well as Botany Town centre only 15 mins away.

We have a large private home where guests would have the upstairs largely to themselves. Our 30 year old daughter who is in local politics and our granddaughter live on site in a converted barn.

Depending on when you visit amongst the projects we'd like to;

- build my granddaughter a playhouse
- build a music/art shed/studio (something cool and creative)
- clear the stream on our property and create a swimming hole
- chop wood for the fire
- general gardening
- prepare and plant a vegetable garden
- help around the house plus a myriad of other things

We are irreverent, easy going, very down to earth people with two cats, a dog, rabb... more inside

We are a french family, Aurelie, Matthieu, Pia 2yo and Irčne 5yo and have been living in our house for more than 3 years.
Our very sunny house is quite big, 6 rooms and has a deck with harbour views.

It is located near Hillsborough bay, 40 mn by bus to the CBD. The neighbourhood is very calm, offers many bushwalks opportunities in nearby reserves and along the coast. Shops and train station can be found in Onehunga.

The garden is huge and turns into a jungle really quickly; too quickly for us. Great native trees and birds live here. We also have a veggie garden.

We are In the middle of big renovations of the house. We will mostly ask for support for all the work we have to do! It might include to carry some materials.
Any skills as a builder or as electrician or plumber?? Or you like destroying walls? You are the very welcome!!
We might ask for a bit of help in the garden too.

In return of a room, shared bathroom, breakfast and dinner, wifi, we ask for 4 hours pe... more inside
