I have so enjoyed the helpxers who have stayed and achieved so much on my property.
Currently I need help with spring gardening, and possibly some basic building- chicken house door, shelter for sheep and some green insulation.

I live on a lifestyle block, in the foothills of the Waitakere Ranges, West Auckland.

I have a double room available. The usual is to give a place to stay and food, in exchange for four hours of your energy each day. You are welcome to come and help 4 hours each day, OR put in an 8 hour Saturday day then enjoy a free Sunday, OR 6 hours for 2 days to have one day free.

In line with my concern for the environment, while most Auckland residents have their poos pumped to the harbours, I have chosen composting toilets.
Although registered as organic really I am only spray free (not a helpx category yet), which means there is so much to do on the property. I have a few sheep, vegetable gardens, fruit trees, so help is needed with weeding, gardening, cle... more inside

We have a property/lifestyle block with 2 kids (12 and 14 ), 4 chickens and a cat. We have been here 8 years and have been busy planting the orchard, pond, fruit and nuts etc. using the theories of permaculture. We work from home (office work) and need help outside primarily. At the moment this is weeding, mulching, planting out some natives, extending the vegetable beds.

In exchange for 4 hours work we will provide food and accommodation. Food is usually super healthy. Accommodation is a small cabin on our lake (no real facilities inside), double bed, and spectacular views.

We are 30 minutes from downtown Auckland, 5 minutes from Muriwai beach. Ltd public transport out here, but a bus comes out from the city. Primo spot.

Looking for guests for around a week, this varies, we are flexible.

Thats us.
Cheers

We are originally from Germany and by now almost Kiwis. We enjoy meeting people from all cultures and walks of life. Our organic garden provides delicious fruit and veggies most of the year. We aspire to work as sustainable as possible with solar water heating, solar power production, rainwater collection and eco friendly materials around the place. Our property is close to beaches and bush overlooking the beautiful Manukau Harbour and still close to the city. You will have the use of a separate bathroom and stay in a lovely, small private studio in the garden surrounded by Nikau Palms. The bus stop is just 50 meters away and we are happy to take you to the next public transport hub or wherever you need to go.
Roland works with sustainable timber in his workshop as a cabinet and furniture maker.
We welcome people with general maintenance skills and to help in the garden and around the house and anybody who is interested in a more sustainable living experience.

Hi There.

Our house is situated 1 min walk from Medlands Beach on the east coast of Great Barrier Island.
There is no power connection to the mainland. Great Barrier Island is the only community in New Zealand where every house/building functions completely independently with its own power systems.
The majority of people try live as sustainably as they can.
We are passionate about our lifestyle here

We are a busy family of 5.
Steve & Orla,Elliott 12, Jasmine 10 and Selina 7
We are looking for enthusiastic helpers who are keen & willing to help with painting, carpentry, gardening ,house cleaning, cooking and interacting with our children.

We have 2 very comfortable cabins with a shared bathroom
We like to eat fish as often as possible and we try to eat out of our garden.
We are fortunate to live in a fabulous location
Google Great Barrier Island and have a look at what there is to see and do
