After Feb 9th I will have a free room again so looking for HelpX:

We are a baby boomers living on a lifestyle block on the outskirts of Hamilton. We have a comfortable home with a large garden and orchard area. On the farm we run a few beef cattle, sheep and Angora goats, and we have one house dog.

We are a handy base if you want to check out places like Hobbiton and Hamilton, or go surfing at Raglan by the Sea. Also close to Waitomo and the Waikato River and all the activities that they offer.

The work can be a mix of gardening and farm work, house-keeping and cooking, just depending what is going on at the time.

So if you would like to visit, please contact me and we'll see whether the dates will fit with our schedules.

Our family would like to invite a special person who could teach music theory and/or language French/Italian/German to the children and young adult of our home. This would be in exchange for free board while you are staying in the beautiful Waikato area of NZ. We have pets so would need to be ok with cats and a small friendly dog. Some other light general tidy up duties, gardening or cooking might be required when the children aren't available some days. We are in Hamilton which positions you central to a lot of the natural wonders around the Waikato. Day trips can be made to many of New Zealands tourist hot spots ie; Blue Springs, Waitomo Caves, and a whole lot more.

HORSE RIDING, DOGS, CATS, AND OTHER FARMING FUN

My name is Erana and with my partner Ted and our 2 boys Camden aged 15 and Kade aged 12 we run a small horse farm.

We breeds both race horses and dressage horses and train and race horses. We are keen to have helpers that are experienced horse people to help with the horses or for less experienced horse people to help muck out stables, gardening, farm maintenance etc.
For safety reasons the people staying must speak reasonable English to understand safety instructions.

We offer nice room with queen size bed with own bathroom and food in return for approx 5 hours a day labour. Prefer people who want to stay for 2 weeks or longer and with skills and experience with horses.

I'm a French kiwi farmers' wife. I arrived in NZ 31 years ago and married a local NZ Sheep / Beef Farmer. I have an orchard with a French twist!, I am very keen on my vege garden to feed as much as I can the family, we have a collection of poultry (chooks, ducks, guinea fowls) all free ranging and raised to be eaten as well as rabbits. I'm trying to become as self sufficient as I can and definitely try to use biological principals in my home environment as well as on the farm. Brien's hobby is deer and ducks hunting.

GENERAL INFORMATION
There is always lots work to do around the house. Vegetable planting, picking, fruit picking and preserving, weeding, pruning, redesigning the garden, taking care of the animals around the house and of course some farmwork helping Brien.
We have 2 hosting rooms with private shower rooms. Bedding and linen will be provided as well as all meals. We are 12km from the closest village Piopio with dairies, superette and bus stop.
We are 45 min from W... more inside

230 acre drystock farm with Waikato river frontage. Solar power & mobile phone only-only Spark has good reception here. Mostly hill country with bush, streams & pasture. Grazing dairy replacements, horses & beef cattle. Need help in every area but for this summer I need particularly fence repairs, noxious weed irradication & firewood. Great lifestyle with river, horses (not for beginners), pets and beautiful scenery. I live with my two daughters (fortnightly). We are omnivores. I have a cabin with no power (has gas)& a motorhome (self contained) for helpers to use.

There is no broadband here but you can purchase Spark mobile wifi.

Much to do here in your time off if you enjoy the outdoors. 230acres and 1.5km river frontage. I have a couple of old kyaks which do actually float-one of them is a comfortable tandem canoe. Port Waikato surf beach is approx 20mins away, Auckland city central 50mins, Hamilton city 60mins
