We have recently been away, but are now back home where jobs still need doing!

We live on the southern reaches of Mt Bruce, which is a bird sanctuary where kiwi, kaka and kokako are living freely, we are visited regularly by kaka and lots of other native birds. (but not kiwi and kokako).
We have a large 4 bedroom house, where helpers can have their own room or shared. Helpers would have their own shared bathroom (and own lounge, should they wish) although we would hope that they would join us in our large family/kitchen area. We have a pool table, piano and spa pool.

We are 20 mins from Masterton by car and can easily pick up helpers from train or bus. Would prefer helpers to stay minimum of 2 full days.

We are a semi-retired couple, who still work our farm where we have sheep, cattle and calves. We have 1 dog, who does not come inside the house. We both play music and are members of our local brass band, we both are involved in amateur theatre and have been on stage ... more inside

Hello.

We are a little family on the rural boundary of the small town Featherston. Originally Saali is from the Westcoast, New Zealand and Jennie is from Hamburg, Germany. Saali is a high school teacher and musician and Jennie works for central government in the capital. Our two boys are 10 and 7 years old. We have a dogs and a cat. We chose to live in Featherston for the lifestyle and its proximity to Wellington.

Featherston is in the Wairarapa district, home to excellent bushwalks, rivers for swimming, surfable beaches, vineyards, and boutique cafes and shops. It is also just one hour travel from Wellington by car or train.

At the moment we are looking for keen helpers to get stuck into our garden between 25th of September and 15th of October. So if you are looking for somewhere to stay close to Wellington and enjoy some physical work please get in touch.
You'll be staying in our separate guest room with your own bathroom.

One person to help around a house in central Wellington and possibly Help setting up a new business in the sustainable well-being area. Sense of fun and adventure essential and a systematic approach necessary.

This is a change from the farm business where we grow peony flowers producing approximately 23,000 flower stems each season. We also have an Olive grove and orchard. I am interested in expanding my view to encompass not only good food and nutrition but also physical, spiritual and commercial sustainability and well-being into the mix.

To those purely interested In flowers, Peony flower season commences in late October and runs through to the end of November. This farm uses low-impact and sustainable farming practices. Harvest time is always filled with fun and laughter. always working as a team to bring in the flowers and celebrate our successes.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Elizabeth :)

We are a vibrant family living and working on a sheep (6000 ewes), cattle (500 head) and deer (300 hinds) station 10km from the town of Masterton in The Wairarapa. This town is 1.5 hours drive north east of Wellington - 2 trains per day to and from Wellington as well as bus services from all other parts of NZ. We are a family of 5 (our daughters are 11, 12 & 14 years old). WE have two shepherds working and living with their families here on our farm so there is a warm and friendly atmosphere about the place! Our location is great - Masterton, only 10km away, is a town of 18,000 residents and we are only 40 mins drive from a fantastic coastline. We have a helpx project over the month of September which we want to complete, This would be best suited for 2 people so a couple travelling together may well enjoy this stay best. If you are happy to work 5 hours per day in return for full board, lodging and free wifi. The accommodation is great - it is separate from our main farm hou... more inside

We are here this week, so please come along!

This is a simple bach, 5 min walk to a beautiful beach and stream. There is a kayak, bikes and boogie board for use. A small fridge, small stove, shower and composting toilet. A great viewing platform where you can sit and relax and see the beach.

This place is available only sometimes, as it is our holiday and occasional week long hangout, not our permanent abode. However, you can be here before we arrive or after we leave and we make it overlap where we can. Just enquire and discuss.

Just email me and I let you know if we are there.

We consist of my partner Natalie, myself, and our 4 children, ranging from 4y to 15 y of age, and a dog. Sometimes we take two chickens. Sometimes it's just three of us.

Please check with us via email if you are interested. It's a great stop on your way to Wellington or North from Wellington.

I would ask you to help for 2.5 hr per night you stay, and provide your own food.
