I have a small warmblood stud and training facility. I break in and train warmbloods for dressage and show jumping. I would love someone to help with general help around the farm and garden. It is a great chance to spend some time around beautiful horses enjoy the countryside, have a swim in the pool and generally enjoy a small part of Australia.
We are only 45 minutes by train to Melbourne, close to wine regions and in a real country area, not far from Melbourne airport.

Our plans have changed and we are currently unable to host given the Covid-19 situation. All the best for your travels and take care.

We are an easy going couple living off-grid on a rural lifestyle property 90 minutes from Melbourne. We have a kitchen garden, chickens, 4 horses, and a dog. We have a small timber plantation, natural habitat areas, and dams for swimming and fishing.

We would prefer that you have travel insurance, and your own car would be an advantage. Flexible work hours and 2 weeks stay is preferred - longer by agreement.

We regret that due to the current pandemic, our advancing age and existing health issues we have little option but to exercise social isolation. As such we are unable to host at this time.

We are now located in Somerville, approximately 1 hour 20 minutes by train or 1 hour 30 minutes by car from central Melbourne. The location provides excellent access to the beaches both surf and swimming, wineries and tourist attractions the region has to offer.

Our home is in a quiet location close to the township. It is spacious, modern and comfortable with excellent facilities including a solar heated swimming pool. We offer meals and a private comfortable bedroom with a queen size bed and access to a seperate spa bathroom. Beautiful and unique large garden filled with 100+ sculptures, many paths to explore, ponds, organic vegetable and berry gardens, free range poultry and wildlife galore and many other interesting features. I live in beautiful, East Gippsland, Victoria, in the small town of Swifts Creek, up in the Victorian Alps, kind of halfway between Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra.
(Melbourne is 4 to 5 hours away by car, longer by bus. Canberra likewise. Sydney is about 8 by car, longer by bus.)
Swifts Creek is perched high in the Alps, and we get snow occasionally.... I love driving up to the mountain resorts and seeing the glorious views.
Swifts Creek is close to the mountains, national parks, walking and bike tracks, and caves. It truly is a glorious little place. We are driving distance to some other beautiful areas.
I can drive us to visit places, and there are some buses.
I moved here in early 2016, as local minister/priest/trained social worker/community development worker, but a large part of my work is as a comunity development worker in some remote mountainous villages ... Again, in beautiful country.
Having recently been through terrible drought here, and now fires, I am commit... more inside

We are a family of four, Simon, Josie and our two boys. We are situated in the beautiful Yarra Valley, with views over the mountains. On our farm we grow a wide range of bio-dynamic fruit, nuts and veg including chestnuts, walnuts, nashis, avocados, strawberries, free range eggs and a mixed home orchard and vegetable garden. We are in the process of designing and developing the property at the moment.

We are currently building our farm shed (out of recycled materials) so will need help framing, cladding, and building barn doors. We are concentrating on cleaning up the property (clearing blackberry) and deer proof fencing our boundary. We need odd jobs done around the house, the home garden and home orchard. We are also continually collecting and storing fire wood. We are preparing areas for berry production. We have just planted avocado trees that need to be mulched and watered. Strawberry plants are producing now and we will need to pick and pack. We have 200 chickens (who are ... more inside
