Do you want to live entirely off-grid surrounded by natural settings and lots of animals and help us with our huge to-do list? :-)

No prior experience necessary, but enthusiasm to help us out is a must. Non-smokers only. Couples or two friends preferred over solo travelers, but motivated solo travelers will be considered.

In your free time, volunteers can go swimming, enjoy many of the hikes on and around our property and meet/spend time with our animals or join in student activities. Three horses on the property who enjoy trail rides (for experienced, confident but gentle riders only. Claire may be able give beginners a few lessons or some pony rides in your free time).

We take volunteers for one week only as we have other work commitments. We prefer to take people who appreciate that 4hrs of daily work is a very fair exchange for wholesome meals and snacks (you`ll be well fed), your own private space, free Wi-fi at designated times and access to beautiful, natural surr... more inside

I'm a beekeeper that works between Cairns and Bloomfield. I mainly stay in Bloomfield/Ayton . The work involves collecting bee hives fodr honey extraction and queen bee rearing this gives us plenty of time to explore the local areas. Making bee hives is another job in Bloomfield which is situated 35 km north of Cape Tribulation 500m from the Weary Bay Beach and a few kilometers from the Bloomfield River. In spare time we like to show guest the Bloomfield River and it Crocodile population.

Task also involve house work and gardening.

If we are lucky and the weather permits we go to reef and tropical Islands snorkeling, fishing and exploring.

This time of year is great for spotting crocodiles.

The work is not hard, suits male or females and is always varied, recreational activities after work as swimming, hanging out at the beach, camping, crocodile spotting and reef trips.

Hello, my name is Graham.

About me.
I am a 57 year old, single gentleman who owns 2.5 acres of sloping land in the country thirty minutes drive west of Mackay.
I am a non-smoker who enjoys a drive in the country, markets, cafes, fishing and camping. My home overlooks a small valley and has some charming characteristics.
My preferred minimum helpx stay is 2/3 weeks.
The longest someone has stayed is 4 months.

For your consideration:
Although there is a major highway near my home there is no public transport, if my helpxers have no transport I collect and drop them off from the Mackay Airport, local Mackay transport terminals, Airlie Beach or even Bowen.

I am interested in many things, sustainability and world issues among some of them.
