We have two needs

Temporary- May to August to cover staff holidays in the cheeserooms when milk is plentiful and we need to lay down stores for the winter. We prefer volunteers with previous experience of a high hygiene environment

permanently- we need and electrical or mechanical engineer to maintain our anaerobic digestor and develop our emission management plant.

We are a family farm, with a dairy herd of Brown Swiss cows on a New Zealand paddock grazing system.
We grow as much of the cattle feed as possible. We also have an anaerobic digester 180KWh
Our outputs are cheese and electricity. We are not organic, but have received many awards for education and sustainable farming/green energy/environmental issues.
We have hosted several people through other schemes, veterinary students, cheesemakers, people interested in anaerobic digestion, we are Warmshowers hosts.
We are particularly interested in helpers who are able to help in the cheeserooms making cheese... more inside

Hi there!

We are looking for helpers to join our hostel family by the beach in St Ives, Cornwall. We have positions available from March to October

We need to fill our sleeping role, which just requires you guys to sleep onsite in exchange for free accommodation!

There will be occasions where you will need to answer overnight calls for example if a guest has locked themselves out their room. Most nights will involve 1 to 2 hours helping close down reception but then you're free to go to bed/watch TV/read

You get your own private room when youíre on shift, which has a tv and Netflix; and a bed in the staff dorm room when youíre not working. The shift pattern is 4 nights on and 4 nights off. You also have access to the kitchen, regular social events and the opportunity to work in a really fun chilled team in a stunning part of the world!

The hostel is a 60 bed backpackers that caters for different guests; from international backpackers, independent travellers, families,... more inside

A unique and quirky garden which has been open in the national Garden Scheme for over 30 years. Mill Barn is a series of delights. Along the R Darwin, in Lancashire, through the tiny secret grotto, past the suspension bridge and view of the fairy-tale tower, visitors can a stroll past folly, sculptures, lily pond, and lawns, enjoy the naturally planted flowerbeds, then enter the secret garden and through it the pathways of the wooded hillside beyond.

Your hostess is, a retired social worker, whose husband, a retired lecturer, is the gardener and a member of the National Garden Scheme. The garden is open on two weekends in June 13,14,20,21 when 300 to 400 people visit. 6 volunteers attend on each day to support the four openings.

I would appreciate the help of an assistant event organiser for two weeks from June 9 to June 23nd 2020. This is an annual event. I have accepted an application for this year 2020.

The role involves, before the events getting to know how the... more inside

A bustling place with lots going on! Two to four of us live here, and there are volunteers who live locally. We run a residential centre for courses and learning holidays, there`s a weekly community cafe, and a Yoga studio. We have 3 acres of garden, outbuildings and paddocks. Hens, ducks, Kune kune pigs, and a few sheep. Vegetables grown on raised beds and in a polytunnel. Would appreciate volunteers to help in garden and kitchen. Help is also with general catering, cleaning, and other domestic duties. Always lots of washing up.

We can take helpers for short or long visits (if they are the right person/people!) We also have working weekends about once a month. We invite potential volunteers to look at our website before applying, and tell us why they have chosen us in particular.

Hi,
We are looking for an excellent Spanish teacher to come and stay and help our children improve their Spanish during the summer holiday 2020 and to speak with them so they get immersion.
We are looking for someone who would like to
come to London for the summer from the end of June/ beginning of July until September 2020.
It would also be helpful for us to have some babysitting as well as general help around the house.
We live in a lovely house in Finchley Central which is about half an hour from central London by tube. Your bedroom looks over the garden and has its own en-suite shower room. We have two children aged 12 and 13 so you must be kid friendly. There are two cats that appear when they are hungry too. . Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate families or couples.
Many thanks
Ps we are a strictly non smoking family.

I will be needing help if there is Handyman coming through London. I do need someone who can use tools (I have a good range, power and hand)and has that sort of lateral DIY brain tick! So please don't contact me unless you feel confident with that sort of skill and have a Handyman spirit! There is also some clearing-up in the garden .

The work will be 9.30-12.30m generally, for a six-day week. I am afraid I cannot offer food at the moment, as this is a difficult time, but you are welcome to cook here with the food that you provide.

I live in a very comfortable Victorian house just a few minutes walk from East Finchley Northern line tube.

I have travelled extensively, on the cheap, and enjoy meeting young travellers.

Again please do not contact me unless you are confident with tools, as that is what I need.

I need help in the garden for some weeks in March, April and May -mainly with vegetable patch and tidying up the garden ready for the summer. Also some light DIY jobs - if anyone can help with putting a few fence panels up that would be great too, but not essential.

Beautiful Thatched Cottage in the heart of the East Devon country side. I have a large garden and need help with maintaining and doing some small projects in the garden as well as some DIY jobs. I am a non smoking household and you will have your own room in the house. It would be helpful if you had some experience of gardening or enjoy working outdoors.

I am two miles from the town of Honiton which is walkable but I can provide bikes otherwise your own transport will be needed. Honiton has a train station and full bus service to Sidmouth, Exeter and other surrounding towns and villages as well as pubs, wine bars and leisure centre. The nearest beach is about 7/8 miles away and we have some beautiful walks and c... more inside

Hi

We are Richard and Janet and we consider ourselves to be a young couple in our mid-fifties! We live in rural Lincolnshire with our two large dogs.

We are mainly seeking help with gardening, landscaping, maintenance, decorating and building repair work together with occasional domestic chores. If you are good with vehicles we also have a number of classic car projects in our workshop, a half converted camper and a number of old pinball machines etc. for anyone who has a flare for electronics. There are always lots of projects on the go from building things to fixing things and occasionally just doing things for the fun of it. We are not a business enterprise.

You must love dogs as they are a big part of our lives. Our home is an old partly refurbished farm house and group of outbuildings dating back to the 1850ís. It is set in two acres of land located approximately 3 miles or 5 Km from the nearest town of Boston. We are located 2 miles or 3 Km from our nearest convenie... more inside
