A 200 year old cotswold stone house located in a small village near Stroud. It has a good size garden on a slope with woodland above and is located in a conservation area within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty backing on to the Toadsmoor valley. The house is 25 mins walk from Stroud town centre and has recently undergone major refurbishment which is still ongoing. There are a few shops in the village as well as a pub nearby. The house is surrounded with the hills and countryside on your doorstep...great for forest walks and there are lovely lakes to swim in nearby.. English, Spanish and French is spoken. Helpers stay can stay in a double room or camp in the garden if they like. We aim to work an average of 5 hours per day, 4 days p/week. I have a toddler daughter who lives with me half the week and she's very easy going and sweet. The work is varied but currently there are raised beds to make for growing vegetables, a chicken run to make, chickens to feed and care for, ... more inside

Hi, my name is Johnny and I have recently built a B&B in the center of York.
My big passions in life are travel and adventure. I've spent 8 years travelling the world, usually in the most dangerous ways possible and somehow I'm still alive to tell the tale!
Now I'm building a B&B as it's a nice way to earn a bit of extra cash as well as meet people from around the world.
York is a beautiful historic city and tourists come from all over the place to visit. If you come to stay then hopefully I can show you around a bit.
I'm looking for 2 volunteers who could help to run the B&B. You will get a free bed and free food. I ask for up to 5 hours per day / 5 days per week. I hope that's OK.
The help required will be cleaning, making beds, and chatting with guests.
We will have lots of fun and I'll show you around the city and take you to some pubs in the evening.

Thanks for your time reading this and if you have any questions, please get in touch.
We look forward to meeting... more inside

We are currently looking for Volunteers to start Mid February who can offer skills in the kitchen and house.

The Lindholme Hall Estate is the home of Gomde UK. The estate is a 180-acre ‘island’, which lies within the Humberhead Peatlands National Nature Reserve, in the centre of Hatfield Moor. The Lindholme ‘island’, once only accessible by boat, can now be reached across the peatland via a one-mile single-track road. The beauty and seclusion of the estate make Lindholme Hall a perfect place for the practice and study of the teachings of the Buddha. Our spiritual director is Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche who is the Abbot of Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery
We have created a small, but thriving, resident community which manages the day to day running of the centre. When there are vacancies it is possible to join the community as a short-term or long-term volunteer. As a resident volunteer you would be involved in a range of activities, according to your interests and skills. We ask for 6... more inside

We are located in the Forest of Dean, in Gloucestershire. We're an environmental and human awareness project with a deep love and respect for the Natural world, that all life is to be respected and protected. We offer a space for people to connect with nature and learn more about it. We provide fantastic opportunities for volunteers to take their own initiative, be creative and learn more about community living and our impact on the environment, as well as taking personal introspective time to listen to our own inner landscapes.

We take volunteers for a minimum of 6 months and we prioritise placements for people who are interested in a more long term stay. If you are interested and in need of some quiet space and time in nature for reflection and you value time alone then EarthHeart would suit you well. We currently have 2 volunteers here and are looking to expand our community at this time. You would be well suited here if you want to be engaged in meaningful work and be a part... more inside

Due to the virus my summer plans have changed and it seems unlikely that international travellers will be able to volunteer here. If you're already in England and would like a very peaceful rural existence for a while, then I would consider taking you, especially if you are staying near enough to be collected by car.
Usually I prefer horsy experience, but just now, if you can push a wheelbarrow, you're in!
If you'd appreciate some solitary time, away from the rat race, maybe this could be for you! Horse experience an advantage.
I am a semi retired teacher with a love of the countryside, my animals, wildlife, cycling, art, music and dancing. I live in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds in a tiny cottage, in the hamlet of Miningsby on the Revesby Estate. It's very rural and rather isolated. No shops within walking distance, but with pretty market towns just 10 minutes' drive away. Our nearest train station is in Boston, which can be reached via either Grantham or Peterborough from ... more inside
