SPACE FOR A STAY FOR AN ENGLISH SPEAKING PERSON FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD ASAP PLEASE! to help with some outdoor painting and feeding wonderful friendly adorable wild boar pet pigs and two gorgeous dogs, o and a racehorse! nearly forgot!.
Previous helpers have stayed longer than planned and I keep in contact with most.
Very fond of Spanish helpers.. so if that is you and this seems good, great!

I run a small bed and breakfast here on the North Norfolk coastline, being located just half a mile from a sandy beach that you can walk to easily. I have a bike you can use but of course your own car would be a bonus to you.
I don't have children to contend with so am not looking for a built in baby sitter!
Very quiet and laid back here with lots of wildlife and natural stuff... no night clubs so you must be happy to accept that fact although there are two local pubs within walking distance and I have a tendency to enjoy a bottle of vodka on occasions or two.

Hello dog lovers.

We would love to welcome you to our home in the small but busy market town of Frome in Somerset (has won awards as the best small town in the UK). http://www.discoverfrome.co.uk/frome/
We have been hosting for a couple of years and have enjoyed meeting new friends from all over the world.

The most important thing is that you need to be happy with dogs and taking them out for walks. It is a great way to explore the town and surrounding countryside. Our 2 dogs love long walks and we are happy if they are happy!

Apart from dogwalking, we are happy for people to help us in the house or our garden. At the moment there is fruit to pick. You can help with cleaning, cooking, gardening or decorating. If you have other specialist skills like carpentry, do let us know.

Our house in Frome is about 10 minutes from the centre and within walking distance of the cinema, the railway station, the leisure centre, the theatres and the countryside.

If anyone can spare even a few days to help this would be much appreciated. help wanted to clear wood, chop logs, fix tin sheets to a stable roof and hay making.
I usually start no earlier than 9.30 am. and finish at 6.30pm but people do not have to work those hours with me.(I am open to discussion) We are about 2 miles from Rutland Water so plenty of activities going on there to enjoy ones self.

Helpers will be accommodated in an annex that has 3 divan beds and a settee. I am in the process of repairing the flood damaged kitchen, bathroom and sitting room so it is not possible for anyone to live in the house. Helpers will be provided with a cupboard, freezer and fridge full of food for them to cook for themselves.
The site is isolated and there is NO TV, wifi but plenty of trees, birds and animals to see.

I can NOT accept Smokers or people who take drugs because I have business insurance to safe guard both helpers and myself which specifies this.

Dear Helpers!

We are looking for people who are interested to stay with us in SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER, NOVEMBER.

We are a small B&B located in the heart of Isle of Skye, 40 minutes driving from Portree and 15 minutes from the Skye Bridge. We are ideally situated for touring this most scenic of Scottish Highland Isles as well as easy access to shops bank and facilities due to our central location in the village of Broadford.

The accommodation we offer is a bed in Broadford Backpackers hostel, 5 minutes walking from the B&B. We prefer people who are willing to stay with us a minimum of 3 weeks.

We need some help at the B&B during the mornings with breakfast and housekeeping, in exchange for a free bed. And sometimes we can also use an extra hand at the hostel.
As we can only offer a bed in a shared dorm, we only ask 3 hours (or so) of help, 6 out of 7 days. At the hostel we have free wifi, tea, coffee and you will have plenty of time to visit the island and to enjoy the vi... more inside

*We have no vacancies now until late Autumn

We are a couple with 2 grown up children, a son who has settled in Edinburgh and a daughter who will soon be furthering her studies. We run a croft - ie a small farm - in the northern Highlands of Scotland a couple of miles from the nearest village. On the croft there is also a self catering holiday cottage and caravan site. We have sheep, poultry, 2 sheepdogs and 3 cats - and a poly tunnel. We farm extensively rather than intensively in order to maintain the environment and wildlife. We are always happy to help improve your English if needed or just enjoy the cultural exchange.

Current projects: Helping to mend fences, work in poly tunnel and garden, fruit picking and other routine jobs that crop up on the croft.
We have accommodation in a cottage on the croft you can share with other volunteers. We will supply cereal for breakfast, tea coffee etc, but all other meals will be with us in the main house.
We have Wi-Fi.

Hi traveller!

First: Please read all of our listing before contacting us - thank you!

We are a young-at-heart, well-travelled couple who own two holiday cottages. One is in the countryside in Somerset (rural, but not isolated). The other is at the sea-side in lovely West Mersea, Essex.

We spend time between May and September at these properties, having a working holiday ourselves, doing basic property maintenance, spring cleaning and gardening. The rest of the year we spend abroad.

We love hosting and to have good company while we are keeping these properties tidy, and you are welcome to join us in either property if you have RELEVANT experience (either property maintenance, cleaning or gardening).

At the moment we could do with a few pallets chopping up, window cleaning, and the gutters and drains wiping over if you're ok up a ladder, and some tiny cracks in the render fixing. Car washing and interior cleaning always appreciated too.

To see what these lovely homes... more inside

I live on a Hilly smallholding and have my independent sons living nearby. My property has an area of meadow and light woodland.

I need some seasonal help with gardening and landscaping, as well as painting the house exterior and the internal doors, and with general housekeeping. If you are good with children, that will help, too, on the occasions when my grandchildren visit.

I am new to Helpx, so I think a 1 or 2 week stay would be a good way to start, but equally happy to consider a 2 or 3 day stay, if you are passing through on the way somewhere. I ask for the equivalent of 4 hours a day over a 5-day week but am flexible about when the hours can be.

The house is in a rural setting, 5 miles from Tunbridge Wells, 50 miles from London, and 25 miles from Hastings, Eastbourne and Brighton south coast towns. Buses stop on my street; there is a station 12 mins walk away, with trains to Hastings (50 mins) or London (60 mins).

I can also help you with your English language le... more inside

We would like to meet a couple who would like to do some fence painting, erect some shelving in the workshop and enjoy some light gardening work. We have a well stocked garden tool shed and about every tool you would need. Also it would be a bonus if you are interested in cooking in a well stocked kitchen and pantry.

Besides the garden I do have a well equipped engineering workshop capable of handling metal working and wood working. I have, in hand, a 200 year old pitch pine Welsh dresser that is half restored and needs some tender love and care all the rubbing down has been completed! Also I restore WWII workshop machinery and would love some help to finish a universal milling machine. Also on the waiting list is a 3.0 metre vertical drilling machine

We now seem to be in better health but we do need some assistance in maintaining the garden and outbuildings. We would prefer to take on a male/female couple who would enjoy our company as well as their own!
