Croft 17 is located just a short walk away from Singing Sands beach on the NW side of Eigg with wonderful views of the Isle of Rum. I live on the croft with my teenage son who is at High School in Mallaig. I am skipper and owner of sailing charter yacht and am away during much of the season

The croft has currently 26 sheep, 9 chickens, and a cat. There is also a polytunnel and garden where we grow veggies for ourselves and the yacht charter. My croft is currently in the developmental stages towards becoming a working croft designed around permaculture principles including mixed woodland, forest garden, pasture.
Longterm building projects include a house, a barn and a wellbeing/yoga space. Volunteer tasks involve maintaining the croft in its current state and participating in bigger projects to attain the vision. Day to day tasks involve looking after the animals, working in the polytunnel/garden, cooking, cleaning, and general maintenance. Larger tasks involve building a... more inside

Larcombe copse is an old unused slate quarry in a beautiful valley with a lake, stream, wildflower grasslands, woodland and pasture. I have a two and a half acre field with a caravan for temporary accommodation and the makings of an agricultural barn which I plan to double up as an art studio as I am a painter.

I am looking for help with Finishing touches to an agricultural shelter which can double up as a studio workshop as I am a painter (see photos, that's not me in the photos btw!) alongside general maintenance and planting a wide range of trees, shrubs, herbs and vegetables and introducing bees, keeping chickens and all in all to create as diverse and beautiful a place as possible:)

I live by the river in Totnes and can provide food and accommodation and transport to the field which is ten or so minutes away. There is also the option to stay up there as I am making the caravan comfortable with a burner and facilities:)

Our farm is a small, busy 23 acre organic family farm. We grow vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers that we sell directly at two local farmers markets, through our box scheme and to local pubs, shops and restaurants.

The farm is run by myself Nathan and my wife Alicia, along with the help of my mother Muriel who lives with us. We have two daughters, 4 cows and a small menagerie of cats, chickens and a dog, who along with the children are more or less helpful at any given time!

Where we farm is stunningly beautiful but quite remote. The farm is situated in the small hamlet of Llwyndafydd, with views of farmland across the coombe. Cymtydu beach is just over a mile’s walk down a beautiful country lane, with easy access to Cardigan Bay’s protected heritage coastline and coastal path. Lonely Planet has named Coastal Wales the 'Best Region on Earth' to visit in 2012.
We have a very active Facebook page, where we post loads of photo's and stories of our farming life here on the 'w... more inside

We always appreciate a helping hand in our small family-run horse riding holiday business, which we run from a traditional Welsh farm nestled in a secret valley in the beautiful Brecon Beacons. We have approximately 60 Welsh cobs, most of which are bred here on the farm, and we host guests here in our B&B, so there's plenty to keep us busy. We are looking for people to help with mostly outdoor tasks as well as looking after the horses of course - gardening, digging out new paths, fencing, filling in pot holes, painting fences etc. Horse work includes mucking out, exercising horses, helping move them to winter homes. But we also expect you to lend a hand inside where needed, washing up after dinner for example, or maybe even taking a turn at cooking!

It's hard work but in return we offer your own small but cosy double room with free wifi, home-cooked meals each evening, a friendly and fun atmosphere, the chance to meet people from all over the world, and plenty of fantastic riding... more inside
