This an old converted Corn Mill and has been a small farm for many years. At present we have an Alpacas, Goats (Boar/G.Guernsey+)and Saanens, chickens and Turkey's on the smallholding, with an area set aside for organic vegetables. We also have two Tibetan terriers called Dexi & Kiesha. We also run an Holistic Centre from the premises. The Mill as we call the place is situated on the outskirts of the village of Penrhiwllan which is between the small market towns of Llandysul and Newcastle Emlyn. The Nearest train stations are Carmarthen (20 miles) or Aberystwyth (33 miles). We are virtually surrounded by woodland and have the River Cwechyr running through the 19 acres which splits the land into 2 lots. We need general help around the place, animals have to be fed, cleaned out and moved around the fields and collecting fire wood. Spring is the time of new beginnings and we have kidding, during the summer months we have shearing of the Alpacas as well as hay making. June is also the t... more inside

NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL MID APRIL AS DOING UP SPARE ROOM SO NO PLACE TO STAT UNTIL THEN!

So I live in a house that needs just a bit of work. So if anyone has any skills for DIY that would be great, if not just willing to do a few hours of directed work in return for accommodation. I live near the centre with shops and entertainment within walking distance. Cardiff is also great for exploring south Wales if you have transport, if not the central train station is nearby but limited transport links. I do rent out my car on easycar so thats another option!
I would provide accommodation but food would not be included. And as the house is being worked on not all the rooms are at their best, but you will have a newly done bedroom I promise!
If anyone has any particular skills with relevant training/experience with proof happy to pay for those skills too.

I love to be active and am out of the house a lot so you can either enjoy the peace or come join in on the activities!

Only bac... more inside

We are a 4 acre smallholding. We have a large vegetable garden, two polytunnels, pigs, chickens and woodland. Anne is a potter and David a cabinetmaker and we run a small publishing business.
We live in a wooded valley in the shadow of Carningli mountain with the sea and beach just 2 miles away.
We would welcome help with all smallholding tasks including fencing, stone walling, woodland management and gardening duties.
We also have some building projects for 2016 including an outdoor wood-fired bread oven and the renovation of two old railway wagons. Any building/woodworking experience would be a bonus.

I live in a stunning cottage 20 metres from the beach in Mumbles, Swansea.
I currently rent a room on Airbnb which has proven to be quite successful.
My son and I would like to travel this summer and we want to put the entire home on Airbnb. In the meantime there is a load of renovation, cleaning, clearing and storing of our stuff that we need to achieve.
I'm looking for a physically fit and capable helper to stay with us and assist with painting, decorating, renovating furniture, making wall art, clearing and organising all cupboard and storage space, installing bike racks and creating a nice patio garden, cleaning the house daily (I keep this house immaculate), shopping for the materials, moving furniture around and renovating the attic space for storage.
This doesn't have to be a one man job. I'd consider 2 travellers although the room is small and you'd need to help with building the bunk beds to sleep in.
I'm happy to accept travellers for a minimum of 2 weeks and a max... more inside

Hello! We are a six and a half acre holding using permaculture principles. We run a small No-Dig market garden with two large polytunnels, edible shelterbelts, top, bush and cane fruit . Farmgate sales. We've planted 2 acres of native trees, and species for coppicing. Human scale with minimal use of machinery.

We would like people interested in growing sustainably on a small scale who have a little experience of growing veg. Must be keen to work!

Currently in caravans, we're now building a straw bale house - so there is often the opportunity to be involved in green building if volunteers would like to.

Qualified in horticulture, background in fine art and photography, we also have an interest in fine art, green woodworking, scything, breadmaking, preserving, making things.

Basic static caravan accomodation, own shower. Compost toilet.

Looking for help reclaiming my garden and general maintenance jobs. I am a single mum who works full time in the NHS so I haven't had the time or energy to keep on top of things. I am trying to redesign the garden to be less labour intensive (ex husband was very keen gardener!) I would like someone who is confident to work on their own and be happy to be on their own as I work long days. Other jobs include repairing fences and decorating.
We live in a small village on the Welsh border. There is no public transport but you may be able to borrow a bicycle. I will give you lifts to town where there are buses and trains when possible. There is limited mobile phone signal, but we have WiFi you can access.
We are a relaxed family, don't eat meat as don't smoke. We have two dogs. You would have your own double bedroom and a bathroom for you only. We would eat meals together in the evenings, sharing the cooking would be great. I would expect 25 hours work over a 5 day period, leaving the ... more inside
