Hello. Maybe we have possibility ta have helpers from beginning of April. But more we need help later when snow is gone.

Mostly we need help with planting, weeding and painting, fencing and some building projects and other small things on a small farm like ours. And also cut down bushes and some small trees in the forest.

Organic Status: since 1975 ecological (organicbiological).

Very welcome to us. This is a part of the North. In summer no darkness no nights just a very friendly mild sun shining all the time. Just enjoy what nature can give. In coldest winter not so much sun only ghostlight from millions of stars and the moon and northern lights the aurora which moves over the sky in curtains of colors.

Weather now has become strange. Very little snow and warm weather for winter-temperature.

When we have helpers here we see it as an advantage to have two volunteers during the same period. We usually can not accommodate more than two helpers at the same time... more inside

Are you interested in ice cream making and experience how milk-production is working? We are two families and run a dairy farm with 65 milking cows. We also have small ice cream shop for tourist. We run a little creamery where we produce milk products, such as ice cream, and skyr (the Icelandic traditional yoghurt)
We are located in the north of Iceland, in the valley of Icelandic saga.
We are looking for open minded, responsible and self initiated people who are not afraid to try new things and can handle it to get in contact with cows and their surroundings. You should be well conditioned due to the fact that farmwork can require that.

Two neighboring homesteaders with some animals in a small scale gardening setting, driving biodynamics and permaculture to an ecstatic union.... and at the same time a clinic for environmental medicine and spiritual healing, an alternative webshop and a spiritual-ecological adult education center and event organizer....and at the same time just people with their daily life: raising a wonderful daughter of 6 years, living the good life in the country side, with animals, garden, bees and handwork.
during the summer months a very lively place, almost like a workcamp festival. The rest of the year a calm place in the woods, perfect for nature lovers. On the other hand, Oslo is just 30 minutes away (direct bus connection), and the University of Life Sciences and agriculture is in walking distance at the end of "our" lake ( 5 km).

Dog Handling - Alaskan Malamutes, Hospitality.

We share our place together with a wonderful old style MountainHotel and an international School. At any given time there is a multitude of nationalities present, we thrive with and enjoy a continuous exchange with people from all over the world and all walks of life.

Here we live the dream of nordic outdoor life with meters of snow, endless forests and abundant wildlife in front of the door.

People come here to be away from the city and urban life, slow down the pace for a bit and breathe clean, ice-cold air. Located 16km from the next village there is little traffic and barely any noise, therefore Moose or Fox come for regular visits.

Hiking, Biking, Swimming or Skiing with our Alaskan Malamute Sled-dogs is pure adventure and incredible fun that we look forward to sharing with you.

Our daily language is English but we speak Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, German and a very colorful assortment of most European languages.
