Hi there!
I'm a Belgian, dutch-speaking woman living with my fast-growing puppy in a big modern house close to the town of Perpignan, near the Spanish border and some 10km from the sea. Both my daughters will leave home for studying this september so I can need some company.
There's a spare room to host 1 or 2 people who can help with gardening, some painting and house- and pool maintenance. In exchange of 4 hours of work a day I offer you a room and 3 meals. Vegetarians and vegans are welcome but should help me with the cooking because I'm not used to cook vegetarian/vegan. But I would love to learn some good recipes.
Although I love the contact with people from all over the world, I also like to be on myself. That's why I prefer a short stay of maximum 10 days maximum and you should feel fine by working alone most of the time.
Please don't hesitate to contacte me if you want some more information.
Hope to see you soon!

We are a friendly couple running a smallholding where we are still in the process of renovating old barns to residential accommodation.

We require help for 1 week between 9th and 16th September. Also 2 weeks from 21st September to 15th October.

At the moment Anni is recovering very slowly from an operation and we need some help in order to put our gardens and large vegetable garden to rights.

We are looking for an English speaking couple (25 years+) who can help Gary around the grounds and some inside work such as painting and decorating and some general household tasks.

We have a flourishing, very attractive gite where we would accommodate HelpX helpers. This house is self contained and very comfortable and well equipped and with it's own garden. We live next door in converted barns. If the gite is occupied by clients, unlikely out of the summer holidays, then we would accommodate them in our large luxury caravan. The grounds are beautiful and helpers would hav... more inside

Hello !

We are a french couple and we are living in a small town near Paris (direct access to Paris with public transport).

We have a big garden and an old house and we are looking for people who can help us to maintain it.

We prefer to host one person at the time, and for one or two weeks. You'll have your own bedroom where there is a double bed. You'll share meals and bathroom with the family.

Work won't be hard, probably some weeding but there is always plenty of different things to do depending on your skills!

We speak a bit of English and German, so there'll be always a way to understand each other!!

We receive a lot of demands, sorry if we can't answer to all.

Do you like to spend some time in the beautiful hills in the south of France?

We could need you for helpX-jobs or maybe housesitting and taking care of the animals, the garden and the house when we go away for some days.

We have 2 very nice dogs, 6 cats, 4 chickens and about 12 cows and 10 calfs.

We bought an old farm in the Ariège department, we moved in (may 2015) and have been renovating since.
You can find our farm at 60 km's south of Toulouse. We are 59 and 63 years old and we are from Holland and moved to France in 2004. We speak dutch, french, english and can understand german. We are open minded and like to meet people from other countries. When we were students we travelled a lot.

During the housesitting you can stay at our farm of course. When you do just HelpX: mainly painting, gardening, fencing, help with woodcutting. We have a nice holidayhouse (gite) for the helpers where you can stay for free. With a new kitchen in it where you can also cook your own... more inside

Welcome !

Help is needed from now.

I moved in 2012 to a nice piece of land in the mi ddle of the forest in the Vosges, with endless possibility for entousiastic helpers who want to give their ideas, their help.

Cook by trade and passionate by ecobuilding,
I traveled with helpx few years ago for about 4 years around the world and also beeing an host for more than 10 years. It is a pleasure to host many volunteers from all around the world.

From 2012, I create, develop and run a small campsite "La clairière du Verbamont" (check out my website).
La clairière du verbamont is nestled in the heart of the big forest of Darney (Vosges) surrounded by a beautiful forest with loads, a paradise for Nature lovers.

My 2 sons 7 and 5 years old are also part time growing in this nice environnement.

There is for example for you to do with a big garden driven mainly in permaculture principles, vegetable transformation, fencing , campsite construction ( at the moment compost... more inside

We are a couple living in the countryside between Nantes (110km away) and Poitiers (90km).
I am working as a project manager developing organics cosmetics and my husband is a teacher.
Beginning of 2019, we bought an house with a lovely garden (5000 square meters). We love gardening and we have a vegetable garden. We also have a cat and four chicken. So you can have fresh eggs for the breakfast :)

Help exchange is being offered.
We are looking for people interested in plant cultivation. And help with the garden is welcome.
We also want to build ecological dry toilets.
We offered 2 or 3 hours per day of help with the garden in exchange of free accommodation and lunch/dinner with us.

When I was younger, I used HelpX as and helper, when I was travelling around New Zealand and I really enjoyed this experience. I would be glad to use it now as an Host and welcome people in our house.

This beautiful, 2.5 hectare garden, set in the heart of Haute-Normandie Pays de Caux near the English Channel and whose light inspired the Impressionist movement, is called the Jardin d'art et d'essais and which can be loosely translated as an Arthouse garden.

This is not a run of the mill Help X destination. There is a real opportunity to learn and have a totally unique experience while staying in the 17th century Priory in the centre of the garden. Cécile Maitrot, the gardening artist or artistic gardener (she conforms to both), welcomes you to join her in this artistic gardening adventure.

Previous experience of gardening and some basic French are welcome but not essential as Cecile can get by in English, Spanish and German and will teach you all you need to know; the work, of course, changes with the seasons and can be a variety of brute force and delicate sensitivity but never forgetting that this is an artistic adventure and is open to the public. Help Xers are invited t... more inside

We are Cait (Irish) and Bridget (English), and we have lived in Normandy for 9 years. We mainly speak English with some French.

We are situated on the edge of the Suisse Normande surrounded by nature and with numerous walking and cycling routes (we have bikes to borrow), lake swimming, kayaking, climbing, zip wires, paintballing and horse riding opportunities all nearby.

Our nearest train station is in Briouze 10km away. The three largest towns equidistance are Flers, Falaise and Argentan. Paris is 200km away or 2.15 hours by train.

We have a small, smallholding of just over 1 hectare, broken down into a forest garden (in its infancy-5 years), 2 polytunnels and permaculture garden, an orchard with pear, poiree (perry) trees, a well (feeding the permaculture garden) and a one acre meadow with a small number of fruit trees.

Accommodation is a bedroom and bathroom annexed to our house (although we may from time to time use the bath in there – especially if too cold to use... more inside
