I have Yurts and Gypsy Caravans in Cumbria, on Lake Winderemere.

In March for 2 weeks (4th - 15th) these will be put up and fettled, I am offering accommodation, food and hopefully quite a unique experience for this duration to help with this.

There will be about 10 days work over 2 weeks and we will be working in the woods on the shores of Lake Windermere which is an idillic location.

No experience necessary as full training will be provided.
Just be motivated, friendly, and not worried about a bit of physical work outside.
2 weeks commitment required.
Please phone or email us for more information.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Great chance to be part of a successful racing yard, with friendly staff, in a beautiful area of North Yorkshire. We are 3 miles from the quaint market town Helmsley, and the nearest bus station is in our village -Nawton. Superb walks in beautiful countryside on your door step for your days off. We accept volunteers for seasonal work and are always keen to see what wonderful people come through our doors.
We need 1-2 helpers for the months of March/April/May to help us plant all of our vegetables in our poly tunnel and field. For the whole summer months we run a busy campsite so there is plenty of work to be done. Carpenters and handymen are always welcome as general maintenance and new projects are on-going. We have chickens, ducks and goats and hope to expand with more animals in the near future. We would prefer helpers to stay for a longer period of time so you can really get stuck in and take on a project yourself and also it gives us all a chance to get to know each other better.
Situated in Sheffield park in East Sussex near a small village with local organic farmshops, pubs and cafes within walking distance. You can also walk to the Bluebell railway steamtrain and Sheffield park National trust gardens.

We live in a lovely town near stirling in Scotland called Bridge of Allan which won the best small town in Scotland 2010 and 2011.

Living here are myself, my husband Jon and our 2 young children Lucy and Edward.

Our garden needs remodelling to turn it into a family friendly and productive space. We would like to set up some raised beds to grow vegetables, replace gravel with grass, put in a summer house or play shed, cut down a large hedge and lay a path.

We can offer in return for 5 hours of work on 5 days per week all accommodation (in a large room, this can be shared if you would like another helper to join you, a shared bathroom and all home cooked meals. We also have wifi and bikes.

Bridge of allan is a short bus ride or walk from the centre of Stirling and an hour on the train from Edinburgh and Glasgow. We are also very close to loch Lomond, the Trossachs and Ochil Mountains.

Both my husband and I work as mountain guides and can take you into the mount... more inside

We have four children (14 to 7 years old), run a bed and breakfast and have a large vegetable garden. We also grow and sell asparagus, plant trees in the winter and spend several weeks of the year managing our small patches of woodland for our own fire wood supply. I also build wagons for our own use for posh camping (see our blog link) as well as bespoke orders.

Accommodation is in a small annexe which has its own loo and shower and wood burning stove.

The photographs below show the view from our house, our house, my workshop where I make wagons and the walled vegetable garden.

We have had ten Helpers over the last 24 months all of which have been great and am looking forward to helpers this autumn to help in the garden, chopping firewood as well as with building my wagons. Each day is never the same
