We are a young couple with two small children who are busy renovating and reclaiming 9 acres of derelict land. We have four acres of growing land where we have planted an orchard, a 25 metre polytunnel and large outdoor growing space. We are renovating old MOD buildings on the yard into workshops and painting studios where we will run art courses, as I am a painter and art teacher. The land is situated on the marsh in a stunning location that looks out to sea. We are looking for help with manual work whether it be gardening work, maintenance or more practical work on renovating the buildings. We have lots of people come and stay with us, so we are used to feeding and looking after people! Thank you

We are friendly, relaxed couple who are looking for a helper for a couple of weeks in April 2012. Ideally, we are looking for someone with plumbing and electrical experience as well as an ability to help with laying insulation and plugging gaps in wooden floorboards.

If you have experience in this and are available on the suggested dates, then please let us know.

Our house is based in Eltham, (borough of Greenwich) in South East London. We are short walk from Eltham station which has direct links to central London and is perfectly located for exploring the city. We are walking distance from two expansive parks and a short bus ride from beautiful Eltham Palace and the historic village of Greenwich - a designated World Heritage Site. We have a spacious double room available for a single person. The house is light, spacious and comfortable.

We are a couple of young professionals who have recently moved into our 1920's terrace. We both work long hours and have lots of sporting... more inside

We are a friendly family of four (my husband, me and 2 small children) who live in a beautiful 16th century cottage in the South Downs National Park. We are just 7 miles north of the cosmopolitan seaside city of Brighton but are surrounded by idyllic woodland and hills full of deer, badgers and owls.

We moved to this old house a year ago and have lots of decorating and gardening work to do... work such as chopping wood, clearing weeds, stripping wallpaper, sanding floorboards ... Our large garden has the potential to be beautiful - we'd like to grow lots of vegetables, have a small forest garden and develop the pond area to attract more pond life. We hope to get chickens and ducks in April so can help with them.

We were hoping to do all this work ourselves but find it hard to find the time with 2 children. We also love the idea of having foreign visitors. We did lots of backpacking when we were younger and loved meeting people from all over the world. So it would be a pleasu... more inside

We are a large house and 15 acres living here as an extended family.
My husband is disabled; he had a stroke 4 years ago and needs someone around the house most of the time.
I need a person, who is happy to keep an eye on John, sort of take care of the house a little on a regular basis, help out with a holiday flat and do a little in the garden.
Check out our website. We're in the heart of kite country, right on the foothills of the Cambrian mountains.

We are a small family run B&B in Speyside Scotland (where the whisky comes from)

We are looking for someone to lend a hand (April - September 2012) with the B&B e.g. room changes. If we are quiet you won't be required to help so can enjoy a day off. Accommodation provided (caravan with cooker, fridge, toilet, Satelite TV, DVD Free Wifi) for maximum 2 hours a day. You will also have access to house bathroom (with shower)

Will include breakfast and evening meal for maximum 4 hours between house and garden.

We say maximum because some days we only have 1 room let (or even no lets), If weather isn't suitable for garden your time would be your own after doing any room change required

Happy to take a couple (caravan has double bed) with 1 person helping with the B&B and the other doing a few hours work in the garden. . . . or mix it up as you wish

Will come to a fair arrangement to give you maximum time to enjoy this beautiful part of Scotland together

Very flexible.... more inside

Organically managed smallholding in the beautiful unspoilt Teign Valley, Devon. We have rare breed pet pigs, chickens and dog. We need help in preparing a stream bordered acre field for Yurts and compost loos. Jobs include cutting down and clearing fallen trees, clearing and planting stream bank, hedge laying and planting, some fencing also help with the vegetable plot and other typical smallholding tasks. There is a small caravan for accommodation although I am hoping to update the facilities. You would either eat in the house or do your own cooking in the caravan.
The smallholding is roughly 8 miles and a 20 min drive from the University City of Exeter and there are several buses a day. Two Pubs within easy walking distance and the village shop 2 miles away.Nearest beach half an hour's drive. This is a fairly quiet spot and would suit someone who is happy with their own company and has the experience and expertise to sometimes work on their own. The hours are negotiable and may s... more inside
