We want to renovate a cabannon in the garden for meditation and, tp start as well a place gathering for eating well. We are flexi-vegetarians.

As you can see we are in the beggining of our second part of developpment.

So we will be happy to welcome a carpenter, a good handy man. A landscape, or gardener. We can provide a nice room at the 3rd floor, that will be shared with young french people. Or if you are a couple we have a great 35m2 to stay.

We (Mark and Alison) arrived in France in January 2013 having purchased a former farm just over a kilometre from the medieval town of Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne. We're based in the very south west tip of the Corrèze department of France, next to the Lot and Cantal and just a few miles from the Dordogne department. The area is rural, uncrowded, with beautiful countryside and stunning views.

We live in a converted barn on the land and are in the process of finishing restoring the former farmhouse into two gites/holiday cottages. which will be opening for business in June 2016. We are also finishing off the construction of a beautiful natural swimming pool for our guests.

We need to get our gites open by summer 2016. The first gite is finished, the second not far off. We also need to complete the natural swimming pool, and also just have a very big tidy up around the place, as 18 months of building works has taken its toll.

Therefore we are looking for physically fit, able and mot... more inside

We are located in the magical Hautes-Pyrenees and have breathtaking views and a very special home. We are a French / English family of 5, all bilingual except Papa who only speaks French so we speak French at the table and alot at home. Mama speaks always in English to all the children so no problems if you don't speak French. Any nationality welcome!
We have alot of land to bring back into order as it was sadly greatly neglected for many years before we came here 4 years ago. At various times of year we really need some help on the land and with the vegetables. We are trying to provide the family with all of our vegetables so are building and maintaining new and exisiting vegetable gardens - there is always a lot of weeding!
Other than this, we have a lot of clearing work, grass cutting, some fencing and lots and lots of wood chopping for our soon to be installed wood boiler and our existing wood burners!
We are particularly looking for someone during June of this year as ... more inside

.Hi I am Zoe an English women, living in a rustic old farmhouse in the Gers. I have done lots of work on the house myself, with the occasional help from my daughters. It is a quiet rural area but there are plenty of villages and towns near by with bars and restaurants etc. This is a beautiful place and the weather is fantastic in summer. I am very easy going and relaxed, I like people to come to us and be part of the family, we enjoy good home cooked food and sitting outside in the evening having a few glasses of wine, chatting and watching the sun set, in the winter by open log fires.
I now want to start work on a small stone barn which needs complete renovation, I want to keep it as original as possible, and use as many reclaimed materials as possible. most things in my house are second hand, I love old, rustic charming things, Im not in to the modern world, but there is wifi in my house! Anybody with any building skills would be much appreciated.
My passion is cooking so t... more inside

This is a traditional french farming house. It is composed by the main house, several sheds, a big terrain for agriculture and a big garden. One of the sheds is turned into a reproduction of a classic English pub, and the others are used as warehouse or they are in disuse.

Nowadays this place is in danger of becoming ill by the passage of time. But at the same time it is full of ideas to be turned in a new project based in the exchange, giving cause for different projects as permaculture, centre of alternative medicine and energies, and any project that the volunteers want to carry out.

The captain of this "ship", i.e. me, is a very generous and gracious man, plenty of ideas to keep afloat this old boat, but his condition doesn't allow him to realize the necessary work. That is why he need a crew that wants to be implied to help him to turn this place into a ship of dreams capably of sailing along the sea of tempests that is the world.

The main idea is give life to this pla... more inside

We've been resident in SW France over 20 years & recently moved into a new house we designed ourselves, built on the ruins of an old stone one - Sean is an architect. There's extensive outside work still to do (landscaping, building workshop etc) which we need help with. We are looking for 1-2 volunteers - (if 2 : a couple as our guest room has a double bed) for 2 weeks to 2 months from April 2016.

Sean's architectural office is based at our house here in France and Anne works with him, so we both will be able to work alongside you sometimes. Depending on your skills it would involve some building work, gardening and /or garden creation, minor interior DIY, possibly occasional housework (window cleaning etc). You would need to be reliable and able to work on your own.

This would be a great opportunity for those wanting to benefit from Sean's architectural knowledge to work with him on the things that need doing here on our own home! We are now in our early 60s and are findin... more inside
