Please do not email- we do not require any helpers at the moment or in the near future

Hi!
Im Louise, also registered helper on the site and I live with my Father.
My father would also like help with the garden in the summer.
You would have alot of free time to explore and there is regular buses to wycombe where there are regular trains to London.
The room where you would be in is at the moment the room where we are keeping all the stuff while we are clearing the house out but there is a bed and desk and storage if you dont mind abit of mess and the sooner we can get the help the sooner the room can be made fit for more helpers!
Also I am rarely home and we would want helpers who are very independent,we prefer people who are happy to explore places by themselves. The best kind of helper for us is one who would happily clean, tidy, work for a few hours and then have to independence to go out to Oxford, London, Reading, High Wycombe and not just sit in their room all day. We are a small homestead only a couple of years into this project, consisting of vegetable gardens, some larger-scale vegetable cultivation, and small orchards, with some small livestock (poultry, pigs). We also run a microbrewery on-site. We're in a remote part of west Wales in the rugged Preseli mountains, near the sea. Things we could use help with: farm-type work (cultivation, ground clearance, vegetable growing, animal husbandry, brush clearing, haymaking, chopping wood, fencing, etc), house work/renovation (it's an old stone house and needs all kinds of work including electrical, plumbing, plastering, rendering, painting inside and exterior, and so on!). We're also interested in building small outbuildings, such as compost toilet, sheds, roundhouse, greenhouse. Lots of seasonal jobs, lots of things that can be done at any time of year. We have two small children and could possibly be open to hosting someone to stay with a (not terribly small) child - please get in touch to dis... more inside

I would like to have a general handy person to help me with gardening and painting some rooms inside my small 17th century cottage.

You will have your own large bedroom with king-size bed over looking the countryside. There is a pony opposite who enjoys the odd carrot and apples off the tree in the garden.

I'm pretty easy going, work as a coach and career specialist so if I can help you whilst you are here we can spend time together. I also have a small complementary practice in the village offering Journey work, visualisation, and mindfulness meditation.

I value good health and would prefer somebody who also values and cares for themselves in a healthy way.

Non smoker and references are essential.

The smallholding is largely pasture with a recently planted hectare of deciduous broadleaf trees which need maintenance and replanting to take account of losses.

I have plans to redesign the farmyard as a garden which blends in to the agricultural landscape. I am open to ideas on witty schemes to make the garden more interesting. Ultimately I would like to open the garden under the National Open Gardens scheme in the UK. I need walls building, pathways laid out etc. a pond digging and a cascade planned and landscaped.

Where we live:
We live in West Cornwall above the picturesque fishing villages of Mousehole and Newlyn, with beautiful Cornish beaches such as Sennen nearby. There are also stone circles, iron age villages and Celtic Holy Wells all nearby.

About us:
We are a family of four. Both adults work part time - Gill at The Eden Project, and Seamus as a doctor (GP). Isla is 7 and goes to school in Mousehole; Silvie is 2. We live in a recently renovated and extended old farm house - there is still lots to do which is why we need your help!
We have about 1/3 hectare of land on which we have a poly-tunnel, chickens, ducks, a guinea pig and a cat. Animals may increase or decrease depending on local fox appetites and random additions.

About you:
We need help with all aspects of looking after our home and garden. Tasks will include gardening, decorating & repair of house, cleaning out chickens, building tree houses and other general carpentry, child care and generally mucking in with the... more inside

I am a single parent / carer and have a semi detached house with a garden that has fruit trees and bushes. I would like help with work in the garden in return for free board and lodging. I can provide a tent in the summer or when a bit chilly a room with single bed or if not then a room with a blow up bed. All meals will be eaten together with the family and members of the household. I cook primarily vegetarian food as well as non veggies stuff for those that want it.

Can you help?

We are looking for helpers for between 4-10 days at a time. We can often give a lift back to London area at the end of the visit.

We are Pam & Glyn, in our 50's, living in a hamlet in South Devon, 10 miles from sea. Glyn often works away from home and I have ME/CFS so am unable to do much and so neither of us can really look after the house & garden properly. I am unlikely to able to socialize unless I am having a very good day, as I just get exhausted, so a single helper would need to be comfortable with time alone. I speak a little French and completed a TEFL course many moons ago. Parking may be possible for one car.

For You (Non-smokers, no pets)

A sited modern comfortable, but unheated caravan.Bedding/towels provided. Access to WC/shower/wash/cooking facilities in the house. You should be able to connect to the house wifi for emails.

We are currently interested in potential au pair/nanny options for our 3 1/2 year old son. He attends a Montessori nursery in central Norwich and we are very happy with the environment. We are interested in household help and 4pm collection from nursery (within walking distance of our home) until approximately 6pm when we are home from work.

As our families are not nearby, we hope that a very positive close relationship with a third family-type member can evolve from such an arrangement.

Our son is engaging and very active; loves books; has a wide vocabulary and imagination; and loves animals -- most especially cats, dogs and ladybirds.

Our personal approach to child development focuses on gentleness, explanations, respect for self and others, and independent exploration. Emotional and psychological security is extremely important to our family, and we want to feel extremely confident that all children are treated with a very high level of interpersonal respect.
